Survivor: Kinglake (also known as Survivor: Kinglake - Fans vs Favourites) is an upcoming season of AJ's Fanon Series, and will be the fourth season overall. It will feature 20 castaways divided into two tribes, those being a tribe of new players that are fans of the game, and a tribe of returning players deemed worthy of a second shot. The season's beginning date is yet to be announced as Survivor: Son Doong is still currently ongoing.

Twists

• Hidden Immunity Idols - Each tribe will have a hidden immunity idol hidden at their camp, with an additional idol hidden at the merge.
• Fans vs Favourites - Nine newbies will face off against nine returning players, chosen for their notable popularity or relevancy to the previous three seasons.

More will be revealed at a later date, much closer to the season actually beginning.

Extras

Power Rankings

This season, there will be an ongoing Kinglake Power Rankings competition that people may take part in, that runs throughout the entirety of Kinglake, as opposed to the Prediction Games from seasons past that usually only takes place from the merge onwards. The Power Rankings game will have contestants rank the castaways from most to least likely to go home each round, with the goal being to have the boot of each episode as low on the list as possible, scoring points reflective of how well the viewers were able to guess who was most in danger, with the winner of the competition ultimately receiving prizes that will be announced at a later date.

Life at Ponderosa

This season, each of the contestants that were eliminated during the jury phase of the game will have a short Life at Ponderosa 'video' released after their respective boot episodes, much like in the canon Survivor, although obviously in written form for this.

Exit Interviews

In regular intervals (merge, pre-finale and post-finale) there will be an open exit interview style Q-and-A for all the contestants eliminated in that particular period of the game, where fans will be able to ask any questions they so choose for the contestants to answer.

Castaway Clues

Similar to the Castaway Clues segment that head viewers attempting to guess the returning players for Son Doong, throughout the Kinglake pre-season, clues were given out periodically as to who the returning favourites were, as a way to engage with the fans and build some hype behind who some of the people may be, as well as just being a fun little game for people to enjoy. Jamie and Corey were omitted from this process, due to both being voted as the Fan Favourite of their respective seasons, so there was really no mystery as to whether or not they'd be on a tribe of returning favourites.

• Clue One - M.I.N.O.R - This clue was an acronym for Most In Need Of Redemption, the award that was won by Jessica at the reunion show of Dueling Desert. This clue was first solved by CSIPizzaGuy.
• Clue Two - [SD Card] [E3 Logo] [Blueberry with Cursor] - This clue was revealed in picture form, requiring someone to go to Episode 3 of Son Doong, where they had to click on the image in Jordan's first confessional, as he was jokingly referred to as a blueberry earlier in the episode. The image then linked to a cropped screenshot of Tyler's glasses. The first half of this clue was solved by EeveeFan25, while the second half was solved by NemoLikesDonuts.
• Clue Three - S4: SR's JC VC - This clue was a series of acronyms for the US series' Season 4 - Survivor: Marquesas - and Sean Rector's John Carrol voting confessional, in which he makes reference to Las Vegas, Samantha's hometown. This clue was first solved by ProudAndBitter.
• Clue Four - ALCHI3D YS CF1 ↺ - This clue was another series of acronyms, this time for the premiere of Survivor: Pacitan, A Lot Can Happen In Three Days, and Yasir Shaffer's confessional one, with an edit history icon instructing someone to go back and view the editing history, in which Owen's name was hidden in the confessional at one stage, before being edited out a few seconds later. This clue was first solved by Sambarnes.
• Clue Five - L@P 🎥💬- This clue was both an acronym and a picture clue, with the acronym standing for Life At Ponderosa, followed by an icon of a video and an icon of a comments section, instructing for someone to search the YouTube comments section of the Son Doong Life At Ponderosa series, where a comment revealed the returnee to be Michelle. This clue was first solved by Lifeishard.
• Clue Six - TBA - This was a clue left on the bottom of the page, simply saying 'TBA', eluding to the fact that clicking the 'TBA' text in the slot where the next clue would be leads you to a further clue, instructing you to look at the dialogue in the start of the ninth episode, where the first letter of the first six spoken passages spell out the name JORDAN. This clue was first solved by Sambarnes, but not without having to be told there had been a new clue for a whole month smh.
• Clue Seven - 3:3 in 4:4 - This clue was in reference to the episode title of episode four of season four, entitled "We're Much Stronger Together", which was a phrase also said by Parker in episode three of season three. This clue was first solved by Sambarnes.

Playing Favourites - A Kinglake Deep Dive

Playing Favourites - A Kinglake Deep Dive is a fictional web series leading up to the start of Kinglake, in which former players associated with the returning players sit down to talk about their thoughts and predictions on the returning castaways, similar to that of Inside Survivor's Playing with Game Changers series that released prior to the title season.

Episodes of the series were released periodically leading up to Kinglake's premiere, and were released under the Playing Favourites subpage.

Author's Notes

• This is the second season to be set in Australia in my fanon series, a decision I made to reflect the theme of returning. Given that the season features returning players, I felt it was fitting to have a returning location, albeit one on the other side of the country to where Dueling Desert was set.
• This season was always planned to feature just eighteen contestants, however after opening up the Son Doong prediction game and allowing the winner to choose a contestant, having an extra player on each tribe meant that whoever was chosen wouldn't take up their season's third returnee slot (e.g. if there were already three other Temotu players I wanted and Tyler was chosen, I would've had to miss out on one of them).
