Story[]

Night 36[]

Riau Tribe[]

Under a full moon that glistens over the calm ocean, the final four castaways; Ebonie, Rick, Whitney, and Phobos, all return to camp. Before they even leave the sand, they can be heard hooting and hollering, all excited to have made it as far as they have in the game. Walking back into camp, Ebonie leads the way, with a large, bright smile upon her face. Ebonie sets her torch up against the shelter, then turns around only to be startled by Whitney, who stands super closely behind her, torch still in hand, and outstretches her arms.

Whitney squeals, wanting a hug. Obliging, Ebonie opens her arms, but as Whitney embraces her friend she lifts her up off the ground, starling Ebonie, who laughs as soon as she's put down.

Reaching out, Whitney grabs Ebonie's shoulders, letting her torch fall over. She then begins to shake her.

Whitney: Can you believe it?! Final (bleep)ing four!

With a smile, Ebonie shakes her head.

Ebonie: No, ...no, I really can't. This whole moment is so surreal.

Whitney: Surreal?! More like a total dream! I'm, like, honestly waiting for my alarm clock to start ringing any moment now. Ruining everything before I win (laughs).

Jokingly rolling her eyes, Ebonie walks passed Whitney, over to Rick and Phobos to congratulate them as well.

Anambaswhitney So I... somehow made the finale. (Laughs, screams, and squeals) Like, what?! Oh my god! I came into this game wanting to be a huge power player, and honestly, I feel down that I spent a lot of this game not having much control. But, after leaving so early last time I played, to make the finale... (grows emotional while shaking head) it's indescribable. (Fanning tears from eyes) Like, I'm actually so proud of myself right now. I've overcome a lot to get her, and I think I can win, which is the cool thing!
WHITNEY

Whitney follows, walking over and is greeted by a hug from Rick, as Phobos congratulates Ebonie. As Ebonie graciously accepts Phobos' kind words, they're left with nothing to do but acknowledge the other two beside them. Both Whitney and Phobos make awkward eye contact.

Whitney (Uncomfortable): Um, ...(smiles) congratulations, Phobos.

He snaps back,

Phobos: (Shakes head) Nope, don't start, I don't want it.

Dropping her shoulders, Whitney looks as though she's defeated by his constant attitude toward her as she is doing her best to be nice. Ebonie looks surprised by the outburst, while Rick just looks annoyed. However, to everyone's surprise, he quickly smiles and begins to chuckle.

Phobos: Oh my god, guys, I'm (bleep)ing kidding.

He then turns to Whitney.

Phobos: Thank you, and to you.

Taken back, a moment later she gives a small smile.

Whitney (Quietly): Thank you.

Anambasphobos I'm absolutely furious right now that Whitney's still in this game, because I was sure under the impression he took my words to heart. This is totally bad for me right now, because wicked Whitney is now going to be gunning to get me out. However, I think the biggest (bleep) you will be using her own advice to eliminate her. I'll bite my tongue, no outburst, and let everyone enjoy this moment of celebration. I don't need these people any more mad at me for what my next move needs to be.
PHOBOS

The camera then cuts to a close-up of Rick, as a rattle snake sound effect chimes in, before changing to Whitney, who flicks her hair behind her ear.

Phobos (Narrating): She (bleep)ed with the wrong person, because I don't give up that easily.

As the night goes on, the castaways gather around the fire, which Rick stokes extra high as Whitney has requested a 'bon fire.' They all laugh, tell stories, and gossip about the already departed castaways. Ebonie especially indulges with embarassing stories of Nubia, including the one where she got in an accident her first day of having her license, due to road rage. Even the angered Phobos appears as though he's enjoying himself. As the time goes by, the morning hours grow early, and the time of night finally begins to catch up on them. Ebonie yawns, setting off a chain as Whitney then goes, Rick too.

Ebonie: I'm heading off to bed.

Whitney: Yeah, me too.

Both girls turn and begin to head for the shelter.

Rick: Yeah, that's a good idea.

Rick takes a step forward, but is stopped by Phobos, who reaches out from behind him and places his hand onto Rick's shoulder.

Phobos: Uh, actually... (Quietly) Can we go for a walk?

Rick looks up at the moon, noting that it must be at least 3 am.

Rick (Annoyed): Right now?

Phobos: Yes, right now!

Grabbing onto Rick's arm, Phobos then begins to lead Rick away from camp and into the jungle, almost as if he was being dragged away. Whitney and Ebonie stop and watch, looking to one another right after, seeming puzzled.

Whitney: (Rolls eyes) Someone's in trouble.

Ebonie: (Giggling) Yeah, and with how reluctant Rick seems, I think it's going to be Phobos.

Whitney and Ebonie both laugh with one another, then continue on their way to bed in the shelter.

Whitney: I'm not even concerned about eavesdropping, because Rick's gonna shut that down real quick.

The camera shows a transitioning shot of a few clouds moving in over head, however they're not enough to obstruct the light from the twinkling stars and moon. In the trees, with no one else around, Phobos confronts Rick about what happened at the vote.

Phobos: What was that about?

Noticeably tired, Rick appears annoyed by this line of questioning.

Rick: What do you mean, what happened? You knew what was happening.

Phobos: I didn't know Geoff was still the plan!

Rick: Geoff was always the plan!

Phobos: I thought we were voting for Whitney, (motions to Rick) You, I, and Geoff.

Rick: (Scoffs) I never agreed to that!

Phobos: Yes you did!

Rick: No, I didn't.

Anambasrick You see, I know, that Phobos knows, he needs me at this point. He's not going anywhere, so I just went along with the plan that was best for me, even if it meant lying. Phobos is an idiot, and god forbid he stays in this game longer than I do, cause no, (shakes head) just no. It's obviously going to go back to the original pairs, Whitney and Ebonie versus Phobos and I. At least now, after Phobos' vote for Whitney, they'll target him and not me.
RICK

The camera then cuts to a scene from earlier in the day, highlighting it in black and white. Phobos has just finished telling Rick about his plan for the two of them, plus Geoff, to make a run to the final three. Rick goes to say something, but then pauses, stopping to think. This is where the scene had cut off in the previous episode, however now it continues.

Rick: That's... (raises brow quickly) actually quite smart, Phobos.

Phobos: So, ...you're in?

Rick nods his head, rubbing his hands together.

Rick: You've definitely given me something to think about.

Phobos smiles,

Phobos: Good!

The scene then cuts back to present time, with Phobos and Rick still in the jungle.

Rick (Narrating): I made sure I didn't agree to anything in the moment, just made it seem as though I was.

Rick: Come on now, Phobos, you know that's not true. I never said I'd vote her out with you.

Phobos hesitates, then crosses his arms.

Phobos: I just wish you had told me.

Rick (Annoyed): I did, Phobos! You knew all day who was going home. It was Geoff, it was always Geoff, you're the only one who wavered. So, stop getting mad at me, and focus that energy on helping me come up with a plan to turn the girls on one another!

Phobos huffs,

Phobos: You're right.

Rick pats Phobos on the arm,

Rick: I know I'm right.

He says, giving his television presenter smile.

Rick: Now, lets head back and go to bed, before I get too cranky.

Rick then leads Phobos back in the direction of camp, as he lets out a nervous chuckle.

Anambasphobos It was a few great hours of fun, sure, yeah, great, cool, whoo, whatever. That's not what I came here for. It's purely spiteful, I want to get Whitney out of this game for playing me like a fool. I did her the courtesy of allowing her to enjoy her final night here on the island, but tomorrow is game on.
PHOBOS

Day 37[]

Immunity Challenge[]

Challenge: Vertigo
The castaways start on a tall perch where they have to gather water with a bucket and a long rope. Then, the water must be poured into a chute, which causes a pole with a key at the top to rise. Once the castaway is able to reach the key, they must head over to shore and work on a block puzzle. The first person to complete the puzzle wins.

  • While it's a tight competition the entire time between Ebonie, Rick, and Whitney, Phobos finds himself trailing the others very early on.

Riau Tribe[]

Two whales are shown from above, both emerging side by side from the dark depths below, disrupting the flow of the sea. The camera then cuts, showing waves as they roll and crash with a ferocious rumble against the rocky shoreline, sending a spray of mist onto land. The four remaining castaways return to camp after their immunity challenge, where Ebonie had won the guarantee of final three. The camera hones in onto her, following as Ebonie walks over to the shelter, hangs up her necklace, then turns to her friend Whitney with a smile.

Ebonie (Breathy): I cant believe it.

Whitney: I’m so proud of you!

She says, embracing Ebonie in a hug. Over her shoulder however, we can see Whitney’s true expression, and it’s not an optimistic one.

Anambaswhitney When Rick, Phobos, Ebonie, and I aligned, we did so by pairing two friendships together. Now that it’s just the four of us left, I predict it’ll go back to duo versus duo. Since Ebonie has immunity, my gut tells me the boys will be writing my name down tonight.
WHITNEY

Rick and Phobos stand off to the side, both next to one another, watching as the girls hug, waiting for their opportunity to congratulate Ebonie on her immunity win. Phobos looks over to Rick, who quickly raises his brow, wrinkling his forehead. As Whitney lets her go, Ebonie turns around, being greeted by smiles by the two men.

Rick: Good job, Eb.

Nodding, Ebonie smiles.

Phobos: Yeah, you kicked ass.

Ebonie: Thanks, boys.

Anambasebonie (Stunned) Oh... my goodness, (holds hands to cheeks) I can't believe I just won immunity. (Giggling in disbelief) Oh my god, (buries face into hands) I'm in the final three. Oh my god, this is wild. I can't believe this is real life, I'm so close to making my dream come true.
EBONIE

Walking through camp, Ebonie can't take the grin off of her face.

A transitioning scene is then shown, as the camera actively looks up and follows a bird as it flies through the sky. The screen then shows us Rick and Phobos as they stand at in the tree line, with the ocean visible in the background. Rick stretches out an arm, leaning against a tree as he looks at Phobos.

Rick: We're solid, right?

Phobos nods,

Phobos: Yes. ...As long as you stick to your word this time.

Raising his hand from his side, Phobos points his finger directly to Rick.

Phobos: Don't keep me in the dark this time.

Rick laughs it off, insisting that he hadn't, but agrees nonetheless.

Phobos: Ebonie has immunity, so Whitney needs to go tonight.

Rick nods, 'mhm', he hums.

Phobos: Is there any way Ebonie would turn on her, is there anything we could say?

Rubbing his chin, Rick tries to think of a plan, but doesn't think he can come up with much, shrugging.

Rick: Honestly, I think the only angle we have is the fact she's a two-timer, and to have made it this far despite a target being on her back, proves she fought hard. That's it dude, and I think it's simple enough that it doesn't sound too farce.

Phobos sighs,

Phobos: I certainly hope that you're right.

Rick: Why, are you worried?

Phobos (Surprised): What? No! What do you mean? I thought you'd be nervous.

This confuses Rick, earning an immediate and exaggerated facial response.

Rick: What do you mean, you thought I'd be nervous?

Phobos: I mean, you're probably the biggest threat here to win the game right now.

He quickly tries to deflect,

Rick: Pffft, yeah right. I hardly think that's the case, I-

Phobos: You've had such an easy ride in this game, and it's not without hard work put in. I'm not stupid, Rick.

Rick: ...You're the one who voted for Whitney with Geoff, at the last tribal council. I thought for sure they'd get payback for that.

Phobos hesitates,

Phobos: Oh, um, I honestly didn't think of that... I mean, (shrug) it's possible, ...we both know she's one spiteful bitch.

Rick blinks quickly,

Rick: She's something alright.

Anambasrick I hate hearing Phobos say that he thinks I have the best chance of winning this game. I mean, sure, yeah, I probably do, but I don't want the others to perceive things that way. Especially not this late in the competition, because I'm not safe for this vote, and with only two eliminations left, someone might want to take their shot. I did my best to set Phobos up, at this point, I just need to hope that the girls take my bait.
RICK

The camera then immediately cuts to the next scene, showing Ebonie and Whitney alone in camp.

Ebonie: (Giggling) I don't even bother unpacking my clothes from my bag at this point.

Whitney: Ugh, it's just so small and stuffed if not.

Walking passed Whitney as she folds her clothes, preparing for yet another tribal council, Ebonie sits down on the shelter.

Ebonie: Where's the boys?

Whitney: (Grins) You know.

Ebonie: Off talking?

Whitney nods, as does Ebonie, accepting the answer and looking off for a moment. Ebonie then turns back to Whitney.

Ebonie (Quietly): What did you wanna do tonight?

Whitney then glances up, getting her own acknowledgement that the coast is indeed clear.

Whitney (Quietly): That's the thing, I don't know what to do.

Ebonie (Quietly): Talk to me about it.

Whitney (Quietly): Phobos has been on an attack Whitney campaign, and I know he's coming after me, so that makes me want to vote him out. On the other hand, Rick could win this game, and even immunity tomorrow. I can't say that I believe Phobos can do either of those things.

Ebonie: It sounds to me like you're battling your heart and your brain. Considering this is a game, I feel like you know what we need to do, and your emotions just need to suck it up.

Whitney sighs,

Whitney: Yeah, I guess you're right. No, (shakes head) I know you're right.

Grinning, Ebonie gives her head a nod.

Anambasebonie Whitney's guaranteed to be taking me to the final two, I'm sure of it, so I can't lose her tonight. That leaves me with a decision between Rick and Phobos, which I can't lie, is fairly easy. Rick is such a bigger threat than what Phobos is, so there's no question in my mind that he's the one who has to go tonight.
EBONIE

Ebonie (Curious): You don't... think there's any way of working Phobos over for his vote, do you?

Whitney can't help but laugh, looking at Ebonie as if she's crazy.

Whitney: You're joking, right? There's no way.

Ebonie: (Inhales) Yeah, (exhales) I didn't think so.

Whitney pouts,

Whitney (Quietly): I think a tie is a real possibility tonight.

Ebonie shakes her head,

Ebonie (Quietly): We can't have that happen. Would you be ready for that?

Frozen with fear, Whitney doesn't move, only finally after a few seconds, able to slowly shake her head. Ebonie doesn't look impressed.

Ebonie: Then you need that vote.

Anambaswhitney Tell me how after playing two seasons of 'Survivor', someone can't make a fire? Well! The answer to that is simple, (giggles) you're lazy and spend a little too much time on your ass, instead of contributing around camp. Honestly though, like, it's embarrassing to sit here and say that I don't know how I'd fend in a fire making challenge, especially being the sole returning player. I'm not saying I haven't made a fire, or that I don't know how, I'm just saying that I'm most certainly the most skilled.
WHITNEY

Awhile later, Whitney spots Phobos near some trees and quickly approaches him. As he notices her, she twiddles with her fingers, surprised to find herself nervous.

Whitney: Hey, Phobos, could I talk to you for a sec?

Phobos also seems to be caught off guard that Whitney actually wants to talk to him, but nods, and she comes even closer, allowing for their conversation to be discreet.

Whitney (Whispering): Look, I know this is a long shot, and I'll acknowledge that right now, but is there any way that you'd consider keeping me, and voting out Rick tonight?

The camera hones right in onto Phobos, look stares back at her with crossed arms. He shifts his weight from one side to the other.

Phobos: Why? You're scared, now you need me again?

Whitney (Quietly): Yes, uh, no! It's just- ugh, you know how I feel, Phobos, we're friends! I'm sorry, I'm sorry that I talked about you behind your back. I shouldn't have done it, it's just what I do. I know that I shouldn't. I'm just... a shitty person, I guess, okay? I'm sorry.

Phobos doesn't know what to say, taking a deep breath.

Whitney (Quietly): I really am.

Phobos lips his tongue over his lips.

Phobos (Quietly): You really hurt me.

Whitney (Quietly): I know I did, and I'm sorry.

Phobos (Quietly): I'm humiliated. Now I have to go home, and live with the reality of everyone I know, friends and family, seeing and hearing this. I look like a fool.

Whitney (Quietly): I know, and I'm so sorry, and that was never my intention.

Reaching out, Whitney places her hand onto Phobos' shoulder, trying to come across as comforting and supportive.

Anambasphobos So this afternoon Whitney comes to me and says that she wants to talk about the votes for tonight. I'm not going to let Whitney make a jackass out of me twice, no freaking way! However, I'm not going to blatantly say this to her face. No, instead, I'm going to use this time to finally tell her the full truth about how I really feel, and make her listen.
PHOBOS

And like he said he would, Phobos drones on, the entire time Whitney acting as though she's there for him entirely. Meanwhile, Rick walks through camp, passing by the empty shelter, and over to the smouldering fire pit. The comes to a stop in his tracks, bends over, picking up the machete and flint, and wandering off as if nothing had just happened.

Rick walks down the beach, continuously looking over his shoulder, making sure that he isn't being followed.

Rick: (To Camera) I, uh, (looks back) want to make sure that I live to see another day. I think there's a very good chance of there being a tie tonight, and as we all know, the final four ties result in a fire making challenge. God forbid, if I am one of those individuals who gets two votes, I want to be ready.

Taking a few more strides,

Rick: (To Camera) The only choice for my vote tonight is Whitney, so if there is a tie, she'll likely be involved. Whitney probably does the least when it comes to fires, even less than Phobos, so I think she'll be easy to beat. I want to keep her that way, I don't want her to have the opportunity to practice, if she decides to do so.

Walking down the beach, Rick finally arrives at the rocky part of the shoreline, as boulders begin to litter the sand before him. Climbing over some rocks, Rick drops down to another small sand patch that remains out of sight from spying eyes back at camp. It's there that he sits, using some drift wood and coconut husk, begins to practice making fires from scratch as fast as he can.

The scene then dramatically cuts back to camp, showing Whitney wandering back after her one-on-one with Phobos. Appearing annoyed by the whole thing, especially the emotional dumping, she sighs. Walking over to the fire, where she has decided to hone in fire making skills before tonights tribal council, it soon becomes apparent that the fire making supplies are gone. She frantically looks around for them, but with no luck, as she's unable to find the machete or the flint anywhere.

Whitney (Frustrated): I guarantee this isn't a coincidence.

Annoyed by the situation, Whitney throws her hands to her sides and grunts.

Whitney: (Crosses arms and shakes head) No, I’m not going to just let this happen.

Coincidently, Ebonie then appears behind her, noticing Whitney’s obvious annoyance.

Ebonie (Concerned): What’s up?

Whitney aggressively points to the bare ground, where the flint usually is placed on a small rock.

Whitney: That’s what happened, the flint is gone. I think it’s abundantly clear what’s going on.

Ebonie: They don’t want you to practice.

‘Mhm’, Whitney quickly spits out.

Anambaswhitney If they’re so concerned about letting me practice my fire making skills, then that tells me all I need to know; that little bitch of a boy, Phobos, has no intention on flipping on Rick. I suspect there will be a tie tonight, so it’s best that I start preparing myself for the worst case scenario.
WHITNEY

Ebonie: Are you gonna try and find it?

Whitney (Frustrated): Oh, of course, but I’m not so sure how lucky I’m going to be in my search.

Looking uncertain,

Ebonie: You better start hunting them down.

With a long exhale, Whitney walks off, off to see if she can find Rick, Phobos, or the missing flint. Meanwhile, still over at the rocks, the screen shows us a quick shot of Rick as he continuously strikes the flint.

A clip is shown of the camera looking up to the tree tops, as they slowly sway in the ocean breeze. It’s not a short while later and the time until everyone is due to depart for tribal council is quickly approaching. With Rick still in hiding, and Whitney on the prowl, Phobos takes this as an opportunity to approach Ebonie for a quick conversation, in the woods just outside of camp.

Phobos: Lets chat, right quick.

He says, scratching is back. Although uninterested, Ebonie agrees, taking a seat on a rock.

Ebonie: What’s up, Phobos?

Phobos: I know the two of you are close, but would you ever consider voting out Whitney tonight?

Ebonie: I, Uh, just don’t see how that would be a good game move for me.

Phobos: I think that if we let Whitney make it to say 39, she has a case that could sway the jury in her favor. Besides, tomorrow’s the last immunity challenge.

Ebonie nods,

Phobos: You’ll beat me, you know that, and probably Rick. Whitney would be your biggest physical opponent. If you win tomorrow, you’re going to the final tribal.

Ebonie: But what if I don’t win tomorrow?

Phobos pauses,

Ebonie: Because Rick would for sure take you to the end, and you’d probably take him I’m guessing.

Phobos: You never know...-

Ebonie: ‘Cause, basically, what it sounds like you’re asking me to do is throw away my guaranteed ally for a better chance to win tomorrow.

Phobos: Do you really think she’d take you to the end?

Ebonie: (Nods) I do.

Phobos: Even over someone like... me? If that’s how she feels about me, I could definitely see Whitney wanting to sit next to me in the final two.

Taking a breath to speak, Ebonie hesitates, not sure of what to say.

Anambasphobos If Ebonie really has that much trust in Whitney, she’s just being foolish. Whitney is, without a doubt, the least trustworthy person in this game. If Ebonie doesn’t see the light, then... (shakes head) I don’t even know. All I have to say is that it Ebs doesn’t flip, she’s proving how unstrategic of a game she is playing out here, and will lose my vote if I end up on the jury.
PHOBOS

Ebonie tilts her head ever so slightly, looking inquisitive.

Ebonie: Can I ask you something?

Phobos nods,

Phobos: Of course!

Ebonie: If you really think that Whitney would shank me, and take you to the finals, why would you want to vote her out?

Phobos says nothing.

Ebonie: I mean, straight up, I know for a fact she talked to you this afternoon about getting rid of Rick. You know the plan, so if that’s how you feel, this whole conversation doesn’t make sense.

He still remains quiet, blinking.

Ebonie: So, that’s kind of why I’m having a hard time buying what you’re selling, because nothing is making sense here to me.

Phobos’ breathing begins to get slightly deeper.

Ebonie: Do you have anything to say? Because right now it just seems like a tie is inevitable, and both sides should just brace for it.

Breathing through his mouth, growing nervous, Phobos accidentally blasts Ebonie in the fact with drops of spit and breath that hasn’t been fresh in 37 days. She cringes.

Phobos: Well, I guess, if that’s what you want to do.

He then begins to slowly step away, placing his hands into his pockets. Before fully departing, Phobos shrugs and looks over his shoulder.

Phobos: It’s up to you, the ball’s in our court.

As Phobos walks out of sight, Ebonie can’t help but appear amused, laughing off Phobos’ attempts at a strategic conversation.

Anambasebonie Trying to talk game with Phobos this afternoon was mind numbing. I think the emotionally, mentally, and physically taxing 37 days that we’ve endured in this game have really taken a toll on him, because none of what he had to say made sense. It’s so clear that he was just blowing hot air, all in an attempt to get me to flip. However, like anything you wish to be successful with, he should’ve put the time and thought into his spiel before coming to find me. Phobos... is an idiot.
EBONIE

Scratching her head, Whitney returns to camp from one of many jungle pathways, knowing that she’s running out of time. At the same time, Phobos, sooner after followed by Ebonie, also return to camp from another path leading into the green, luscious brush.

Ebonie: Anything?

Whitney: Nothing!

Looking over to Phobos, who’s walking off, Ebonie crosses her arms. She explains to Whitney the conversation she just had with him. Whitney isn’t surprised, but she’s still pissed regardless. ‘Unbelievable’, she says, shaking her head in disbelief..

Ebonie: So, I think, you should expect a tie.

Whitney exclaims an expletive.

Whitney: This is such garbage.

Anambaswhitney I’m so angry, but I can only be mad at myself. Telling Phobos about the plan to write Rick’s name down tonight might’ve been my biggest mistake of the game. Now they know exactly who we’re targeting, and I think it’s no coincidence that both he, and the flint, haven’t been seen all afternoon (huffs).
WHITNEY

Finally feeling comfortable with the efforts he has put forward to prepare himself for any possible fire making challenge ahead, Rick returns to camp, unknowingly being watched by Whitney and Ebonie from inside of the shelter. The first thing they both notice is the machete he carries in his hand, making eye contact with one another. As he passed by the now smouldering fire, he discreetly lets the flint fall from his spare hand, dropping it down near its usual spot.

Inside of the shelter, Whitney turns to face Ebonie.

Whitney (Quietly): Did you see that?

‘Mhm’, Ebonie hums with the nod of her head. With that, Whitney slides on her bottom and hops out of the shelter, walking passed Rick and directly over to the fire, looking down to the ground. It doesn’t take long before she sees the flint laying there, where she can confidently say she had already checked earlier.

Annoyed, Whitney throws her hands up.

Whitney: Y’know, that’s really not cool.

Confused, Rick turns around to face her; ‘huh?’ However, Whitney doesn’t buy it, pointing to the flint she watched him drop to the ground.

Whitney: I know you’ve been hiding away with the flint all afternoon, that’s really not cool.

Giving her an arrogant grin, revealing his white and straight Hollywood teeth, Rick assures her that he has no idea what Whitney is talking. It’s clear by his expression and tone that he’s lying, more so trying to arouse a reaction to throw her off her game.

Whitney: You know exactly what I’m talking about, but whatever, it’s fine.

Both Ebonie and Phobos watch, listening.

Whitney: If you really think that’s what you need to do to make ensure that you beat me, someone who clearly doesn’t know what the (bleep) they’re doing, that’s fine, I guess.

Seeming unbothered, Rick shrugs her off.

Whitney: It just speaks volumes about you. Like, that’s sad. That’s how you have to win, huh?

Chuckling, Rick once again reiterates to her that he has no idea what she is talking about. This visibly makes Whitney even more angry. She just flustered, stumbling over her words, only able to spit out the first quick response she can think of.

Whitney: Screw you.

Whitney then stomps passed him, walking back over to the shelter where Ebonie sits. Playing it off as though he’s confused, Rick outstretches his arms, getting amusement out of he fact he’s managing to get under Whitney’s skin.

Rick: Can someone please tell me what’s going on around here?

The camera hones in onto Phobos, who’s trying to hold back a ginormous grin.

Whitney (Annoyed): Are you serious right now?

Hearing Whitney’s tone, Ebonie reaches out and takes ahold of her hand, urging her to relax.

Ebonie (Whispering): (Shaking head) You don’t want to get yourself too worked up before the challenge.

Still playing it off as though he’s confused, Rick turns to Phobos, asking him what’s going on and what Ebonie means by ‘challenge’.

Anambasrick Out here on the island you don’t have books, tv, computers, your phone, or newspapers, just a lot of downtime. I’m bored! Messing with Whitney is so much fun, especially since I’ve been tired with the way she carries herself around here, prancing around camp as if she’s some sort of princess. Getting her riled up is the first form of entertainment I’ve experienced in weeks, and hopefully it’ll be enough to throw her off her ‘A game’ tonight.
RICK

Frustrated, Whitney rubs her bridge of her nose, then walks off.

Whitney: I can’t right now.

Smirking, smug Rick looks as though he’s content with himself as his actions.

As the dramatic background music begins to roll, the scene cuts ahead further in time, as the sun has now started to set. The final four grab their torches, one by one, lead by Ebonie with the immunity necklace hanging from around her neck. The screen then fades to the next shot, showing as the castaways of the Riau tribe walk down the sandy beach, on their way to yet another tribal council.

Tribal Council[]

The entire place is illuminated by fire; there's a fire burning on the ground before the castaways through a metal grate in the floor, the windows of the former radio house have flames coming from its windows, while lanterns are strung all around. As the entire place is made entirely of wood and rope, the fire adds the dire sense that tribal council should truly emote.

Jeff watches the castaways as they walk into the main area, where all their fates will eventually be determined, each setting down their torches and taking a seat. Letting out a nervous breath, Whitney sits down, as Rick smugly watches her.

Jeff Probst: (Nods) It's now time to bring in the members of the jury.

The silhouettes of the five current jury members can be seen, emerging from the darkness.

Jeff Probst: Nubia, Jay, Stacy, Leroy, and Geoff, who was voted out at the last tribal council.

Although he's out of the game, Geoff sticks to his simple style, having his hair tied back while wearing a simple tank top. He smiles, holding no hard feelings, happy to see their familiar faces.

Jeff Probst: Ebonie, first thing's first, congratulations.

With a grin, she nods, thanking him.

Jeff Probst: How does it feel to be wearing the necklace tonight, knowing that you're not going anywhere, and have a one in three chance at winning the million dollars?

Unable to find the proper words to articulate the feeling, Ebonie stumbles, a rarity for her, before telling Probst that it's indescribable. Huffing, Whitney does her best to appear supportive, smiling in her friends direction.

Jeff Probst: Whitney, on the other hand, there's you. You've played this game before, you didn't win, you came back, survived 37 days, and now your chances of going home tonight are one in three.

Whitney: (Nods) Yep, 33%. It's not a great feeling, that's for sure, especially knowing that I will be receiving votes tonight.

Both Phobos and Rick glare in Whitney's direction, as Leroy whispers 'good' to himself, while sitting with the jury. Probst questions Whitney's statement, asking why she believes that to be a certainty. A close up is shown of Rick, who squints, listening to what Whitney says. Not holding back, knowing that at this point in the game there's no need, Whitney goes into detail about the afternoon happenings around camp that lead her to the conclusion.

Jeff Probst: So, you think you have to be nervous?

Whitney (Confidently): Oh, I know I should be nervous. (Nods head to the side in Rick's direction) Rick too.

With this, Rick takes a deep breath, shifting in his seat. Jeff looks right to him, wanting answers.

Jeff Probst: Rick.

Rick smiles, then chuckles.

Rick: Hi, Jeff.

Jeff stares at him, causing Rick to chuckle nervously some more, beginning to sweat.

Rick: Yes?

Probst questions how he feels about the upcoming vote, especially since Whitney had just claimed him to be in danger. While Rick plays it coy, he does admit that he also feels as though he expects to get votes tonight.

Whitney: (Nodding) There's going to be a tie, we both know it. Rick and I will end up competing against one another, making fire, guaranteed.

Rick forces a phoney smile, as Ebonie looks to the ground, listening.

Jeff Probst: ...And Phobos...

Phobos, who had been looking down to his feet and keeping his mouth shut, glances upward to Probst.

Jeff Probst: No one has even as much as brought up your name tonight.

Phobos grins,

Jeff Probst: Must be feeling pretty good then, huh?

He anxiously giggles,

Phobos: Yeah, uh, I'm just going to sit back, bite my tongue, and let tonight go as it may.

'Ebonie', Jeff says, looking to her and drawing her attention to him.

Jeff Probst: With all these blatant statements this evening, it much be common knowledge who's voting for who tonight, which is a rarity in this game... that is unless there is a blindside imminent.

Phobos looks uneasy, while Whitney looks over to Ebonie, and Rick remains stoic, but with fearful eyes.

Ebonie: You know, when Whitney and I, and then Rick and Phobos, all came together, ...(sighs) I, uh, ...

She shuffles around in her seat.

Ebonie: ...I, uh, I think that we all knew it couldn't last forever. I think that the boys feel, if they were to turn on one another, Whitney and I would take the other remaining guy out right after, and honestly I think that's how Whitney and I feel too, if we were to join the men.

The camera hones in onto Whitney, who nods.

Jeff Probst: So, tonight it's clear, (separates hands away from one another) it's guys vs girls?

Ebonie hesitates, then after a few moments she gives a slight nod.

Ebonie: Yes, uh, I think so. Yeah.

Rick nods.

Jeff Probst: Well, then with all of that, it's time to vote. Lets get to it, (points to Whitney) Whitney, you're up.

With a heavy breath, Whitney rises from her seat, and begins walking to the voting booth. Nervous, Rick sighs, burying his face into his hands. Whitney approaches the voting station, and grabbing ahold of the marker, she removes the top and begins to write. As she does this, the scene fades to show Ebonie, and then Rick, also writing down their votes. Phobos is then shown placing his ballot into the urn, before the final fade of the montage shows him taking his seat.

Jeff Probst: (Nods) I'll go tally the votes...

As Jeff momentarily disappears, Whitney throws her head back, while Phobos chews on the inside of his cheek. After a few moments, Jeff comes back into view, carrying the urn full of votes and placing it down before him.

Grinning,

Jeff Probst: Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read the votes.

Shuffling in his seat, Rick's anxious.

Jeff Probst: First vote,

Pulling the first folded ballot from the urn, Jeff opens it up and flips it for the four remaining castaways to see.

Jeff Probst: Whitney. That's one vote Whitney.

Taking a deep breath, Whitney quickly releases it, as Ebonie licks her lips and tilts her head just slightly.

Jeff Probst: Rick. We're tied, one vote Whitney, one vote Rick.

Rick sucks his teeth, while Phobos watches with wide eyes.

Jeff Probst: Whitney.

She immediately looks defeated, as Probst pulls the final ballot out from the urn. As the camera hones in onto Whitney, she reaches out and takes ahold of Ebonie's hand.

Jeff Probst: Rick.

Rick hunches over, rubbing his face, as Phobos looks back and forth from Whitney to Rick.

Jeff Probst: We've got ourselves a tie.

Over on the jury side of tribal council, the jurors all seem as though they're excited. Whitney glares at them, not feeling the same.

Jeff Probst: In the case of a tie at the final four, things work a little differently.

Grinning, feeling as prepared as he possibly could, Rick nods his head.

Jeff Probst: Both Rick and Whitney, who have each received two votes, with participate in a fire making challenge. Fire represents life in this game, and is an essential part to your island living. After 37 days in the game, you should each know how to get a flame using nothing more than the supplies provided, similar to what you use at camp.

Whitney grows more and more nervous.

Jeff Probst: You may now take your places at either fire building station.

Both Rick and Whitney rise from their seats, and while Rick freely walks forward, Whitney is stopped as Ebonie reaches out and grabs onto her forearm. Whitney turns her head, glancing over her shoulder.

Ebonie (Whispering): Just watch him, copy what he does, you'll be fine.

Hesitating, Whitney then nods her head, then walks over and sits down next to her opponent, Rick.

Jeff Probst: In a matter of moments, you'll both be in a race, not against time, but against one another. It'll be a free for all, the first castaway to build a fire big enough to burn through the rope thirty centimetres above the base of your station, raising your flag, will stay in the game, while the other will become the latest member of our jury.

Probst asks both castaways if they understand, to which they nod in agreement that they do. Smiling, Jeff is happy to hear this, and begins to count them down. '3... 2... 1.' With that, both Rick and Whitney begin to frantically grab for kindling. Right from the start Whitney's eyes glance continuously from her own fumbling hands, over to Rick's, mimicking his actions. This immediately causes a buzz over on the jury, as her former tribe mates murmur and shuffle amongst themselves. Both Phobos and Ebonie nervously watch from the sidelines, too.

Ebonie: (Claps) Come on, Whitney, you got this.

Phobos glances over to Ebonie.

Phobos: You got this, Rick.

Over on the jury, Nubia rolls her eyes.

Once Rick gets his wood stacked in the way he desires, he glances over to Whitney, making eye contact with her. Rick then looks down, seeing her own pile of wood. It's clear Whitney tried to recreate what he did, but wasn't nearly as successful with its form. This gives Rick a boost of confidence, maybe too much so, as he hustles to grab some coconut husk, accidentally knocking his station, toppling his stack over.

Rick (Frustrated): Ah, (bleep)!

Whitney's eyes light up with excitement, then looks down at everything she has before her, confused as to what the next step is. Ebonie speaks up, encouraging her to place the husk over the wood, then to ignite it. Whitney nods, doing as told, while Rick hurries to catch back up. This time, he isn't as neat with his wood, just trying to gain ground on Whitney. Frustrated, Phobos glares at Ebonie.

Whitney (Quietly): (To self) I got this, I got this, I got this...

Hearing this, Rick glares at her, using it as fuel to work harder and faster. As Whitney carefully drapes her husk over her wood, Rick finishes restocking his wood and throws husk over his stack.

Phobos clenches his fist victoriously.

Phobos (Excited): Yes! That's it, Rick, just like that!

Sweating, Whitney glances over to him. Both Whitney and Rick grab for their machetes and flint. Watching Rick, Whitney gathers an idea of the technique appropriate for striking the flint, and soon after they're both producing sparks. The camera then hones in onto Rick's shaky hands. Then, to everyone's surprise, Rick's nervous shakes cause him to miss striking the flint and once again knocks down his stack of wood. 'Ah!', Rick hollers out, screaming a loud expletive, just as Whitney manages to get a small fire lit. She can't help but hide her smile. Rick sneers at her, then quickly, for the second time, begins to rebuild. Whitney's fire quickly begins to eat the husk and turn the wood beneath black. Growing excited, Whitney grabs handful after handful of her husk, until there's none left, piling it all on top of her fire. This seems to choke it out slightly as the light dims from her face, giving Rick time to build his wood back up. Smoke begins to billow from the husk. Suddenly, the heat from underneath ignites Whitney's dense pile of coconut shavings, bursting into hot, tall flames. This catches Rick off guard, he leans back, avoiding the heat, while still fixing the husk that dangles over his unburnt kindling.

Nervous, Ebonie reaches out, grabbing ahold of Phobos' hand. Phobos looks down, seeing her fingers interlocked with his, then glances up to her face. He can tell that she couldn't be any further on the edge of her seat if he had tried. By now, Whitney's fire is just high enough to reach her rope, and as she leans in closer, she can see the ends of the twine beginning to singe.

Whitney (Quietly): Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes..

Rick looks over to Whitney, finally realizing how high her flame is, frantically reaching for his machete and flint.

Phobos: You got this, Rick! Don't give up!

Rick strikes the flint time after time, finally getting a spark capable of starting a small fire. He slowly blows on it, placing some more husk onto the flame. To Whitney's horror in this moment, her husk finally burns up, quickly shirking the size of her fire. It doesn't take long for it to go completely out. Whitney's face drops as Rick snickers to himself, and as she looks down, she notices how shortsighted she had been about her future.

Whitney (Quietly): No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no..

Ebonie's jaw drops, and she quickly covers her open hanging mouth with her hand. Phobos' jaw drops too, as he happily watches while Rick's fire continues to grow. Whitney throws her hands up, slapping them back down onto her knees, looking over and making eye contact with Ebonie.

Whitney: (Voice breaking) I'm out.

Ebonie's eyes slowly move from Whitney, who a smug and excited Rick, who's fire is now burning through the rope. It takes almost no time for it to completely eat it away, sending up Rick's flag. Winning, Rick leaps from his seat, jumping into the air and pumping his fist.

Rick (Loudly): YES, YES, YES!

He spins around, clenching his fist.

Rick (Loudly): WHEW!

Trying to hold back tears, Whitney rubs her eyes, then buries her face into her hands. Rick quickly takes a moment to walk over, patting Whitney on the shoulder.

Rick (Out of Breath): Good job.

He then smiles, running over to Phobos, and the two men loudly cheer and bug one another. Ashamed and humiliated, Whitney stands and drags her feet across tribal council, where she is met by Ebonie, who gives her a long, tight hug.

Ebonie: You did so good, okay? You've come so far, you have so much to be proud of.

They release one another, and as Ebonie bends down to pick up Whitney's bag for her, she sniffles, wiping her nose on the back of her hand.

Whitney (Upset): (Nodding) Yes, thank you. I'm so proud of myself.

Phobos and Rick take their seats, and then so does Ebonie, as Whitney grabs her torch and begins to walk over to Probst. She sets her fire down before him, and the two make eye contact.

Whitney (Upset): I, ..uh, I feel... proud. I didn't win, but I feel like I made the most of my second chance.

Ebonie smiles, while her sister on the opposite side of tribal council rolls her eyes.

Jeff Probst: Whitney, ...

She takes a deep breath.

Jeff Probst: The tribe has spoken.

She grins,

Whitney (Upset): Yeah, unfortunately.

The camera shows a close-up of Rick, who breathes a sigh of relief. Reaching out, holding his infamous snuffer, Probst puts out Whitney's flame, leaving nothing but a trail of smoke from the tip of her torch.

Jeff Probst: It's time for you to go.

Whitney nods, pulls the strap of her bag up higher on her shoulder, then walks off, disappearing behind the burning radio shack.

Jeff Probst: One down, one more to go, before two of you make it as far as you can in this game, and the jury can decide our winner. Goodnight, I'll see you all tomorrow.

Grabbing their belongings, the final three, Ebonie, Rick, and Phobos, take their torches and begin the long, dark, familiar trek back to camp.

Riau Tribe[]

It’s a clear night; under twinkling stars and a bright, full moon, the ocean waves roll to shore, gently crashing onto the sand. After a long and exhausting night, the final three, Rick, Ebonie, and Phobos walk through the sand, each carrying their unlit torches, and faces revealing a mixture of emotions from glee, stressed, and relieved. Following each other one by one, they return to camp. As Rick walks passed the camera, trailing the other two semi-finalists, he looks into the lense.

Rick (Mouthing/Excited): Final three!

Sighing, Ebonie places her torch against the shelter, turning to the other two boys and placing her hands onto her hips.

Ebonie (Exasperated): Well, what a night that was.

Rick gives a grin.

Rick: Yeah, you’re tellin’ me.

Phobos gives a half grin as he looks around to the only two other faces around him.

Rick notices,

Rick: Hard to believe, huh?

Phobos: (Forced chuckle) Ha- yeah.

Anambasphobos I seems like an Anambas sun fever dream, how on earth did I make it this far into the game? I’m someone that no one would suspect as a semi-finalist. Not going to lie, being left with Rick and Ebonie, two very capable players, I do feel as though the odds are stacked against me. I’m not giving up, I’ve long been the sole remaining member of Admital, and survived more votes than either of my opponents, so yeah, I think even if it’s small, I have a chance to win this game.
PHOBOS

Sighing, Ebonie stretches out her arms, pulling in both Phobos and Rick for a final three group hug. They come together, mildly cheering and congratulating one another, before pulling away.

Looking around, Ebonie grins.

Ebonie: Quite the final three, isn’t it?

Rick chuckles as Phobos grins.

Ebonie: Not many would have seen this coming.

Rick: (Shaking head) Absolutely not!

Anambasrick (While having a big grin) Making the final three is a huge accomplishment that I'm proud of. It's only the elite that make it this far, and only solidifies to my inner-self that I'm as good at this game as I always told myself that I could be. However, I hesitate to call this a dream come true, I'll wait to mutter those words when I finally win. As great as top three feels, anything other than first place is a failed mission that'll leave me feeling underwhelmed.
RICK

As Rick stokes the fire, Phobos walks over and dumps a larger portion of rice into their boiling pot. Both Rick and Ebonie give him weird looks, as they never eat this late. Looking up, it's not hard for Phobos to notice the funny glances that are directed at him.

Phobos (Smirking): Come on, guys, lets celebrate.

He holds up the heavy bag,

Phobos: There's clearly more than enough left to last us another 48 hours.

Rick looks over to Ebonie, shrugging.

Rick: I mean, I guess he's right, especially considering there's only three of us.

Ebonie puts up his hand, motioning for Rick to stop, then chuckles.

Ebonie: Lets not drag this out any longer, I've been waiting for this day (giggles) I'm starving! Boil it up!

A large smile sweeps across Phobos' face as he places the pot over the burning embers. As the water begins to boil, the camera pans up, showing a shot of the moon as it slowly passes through the midnight sky. As the scene picks back up in camp, some time has now passed, and the impromptu meal has been eaten. Leaning back in his chair, Phobos burps, placing his hand onto his stomach.

Rick: (Chuckling) Ditto.

Both men laugh with one another, as a sleepy Ebonie drags her feet across the ground, crouching into the shelter, ready to call it a night.

Anambasebonie As eventful as tonight has been, I really need to try to fight my excitement, because I need to best sleep possible going into tomorrow. It's the final immunity challenge, and if I don't win, chances are that Rick will. Maybe I'm doubting his game too much, (giggles) maybe, but the way I see it, Phobos is a guaranteed lock for final two. I speculate that the game will end for either Rick or myself tomorrow, (shakes head) and I didn't come here to become the final jury member. I must win immunity.
EBONIE

Day 38[]

Immunity Challenge[]

Challenge: Hand on a Hard Idol
Each tribe member held on to the Immunity Idol while standing on a small pedestal. The person who lasts the longest wins Immunity.

Immunity Challenge: Hand on a Hard Idol
Placement Winner 2nd 3rd
Castaway Anambasphobos
Phobos
Anambasebonie
Ebonie
Anambasrick
Rick

Challenge Highlights:

  • As Ebonie drops and Probst declares Phobos the winner, Rick, who's sitting on the sidelines, jaw drops. Ebonie walks off, defeated, while Phobos maintains his place, hand on the idol, completely stunned that he has just won the final immunity. As it begins to sink in, Phobos jumps from his pedestal, and begins to jump up and down screaming and shouting. The camera pans over to Ebonie, who has her hands on her hips, pacing. She doesn't look impressed by Phobos' overtly enthusiastic celebrations.

Riau Tribe[]

The camera shows a highlight of the wildlife in and around the Anambas islands, from the colorful schools of fish that swim beneath the ocean surface, whales breaking the water at the surface, birds soaring and chirping, along with the smaller bug life within the jungle. It's a clear and hot day as the final three castaways make their way back into camp, having just participated in their final immunity challenge. While Rick and Ebonie, whom are both still shocked by the outcome, trail behind slightly dejected, Phobos cheerfully runs ahead, pumping his fist victoriously into the air, appearing as though he's a child that has just been let free inside of a toy store. Phobos stops in his tracks somewhere near the fire, and begins to jump up and down, before collapsing to the ground and curling his head between his knees.

Phobos: I can't believe I did it, I can't believe I did it!

Rick walks over to Phobos and sticks out his hand, offering to help him back to his feet, which Phobos graciously accepts. Rick is then caught off guard as Phobos grabs him and pulls him in close and tight. Struggling to gasp for air, Rick hadn't expected a hug.

Rick (Choking): Congratulations, man.

Thrown off by Phobos' warm welcoming to Rick, Ebonie slowly approaches, worried about what this could mean for herself. She sheepishly stands there, until Phobos finally lets Rick go, then gives Phobos a hug of her own. The only difference is that this one doesn't last as long, nor is it as tight or caring.

Ebonie: Good job.

Phobos: (Grinning) Thanks.

Anambasphobos (Enthusiastically) Oh my GOD! This whole game I've struggled in the challenges, and I've always wanted to prove myself as a worthy adversary. Well, today was that day, and thank goodness it just so happened to be during the most important immunity of the entire game! Now everyone will know that I am just as much of a threat as any of the other 19 people who started this game, and even though I was doubted, I get the final laugh, as I get to decide who the final two this season are.
PHOBOS

The camera then zooms in onto Rick, who's still slightly dumbfounded by Phobos' unexpected immunity win, as he watches his other two tribe mates awkwardly hug.

Anambasrick (Goes to speak, but is speechless) ...If you had've asked me this morning, I would've said, 'when pigs fly.' (Looks up) I never in a million years would've thought that Phobos, who has placed dead last in every competition we've had, would pull out such an upset. Competitions like that today are definitely more mind over matter, so if you don't got a mind, it doesn't matter.
RICK

As Phobos' arms let Ebonie free, she wipes her nose, then walks over to the shelter. She takes a seat on the edge of the platform, unscrews the lid of her canteen and begins to take a few large gulps. Wiping her mouth clear with her sleeve, Ebonie screws her canteen closed, and lets out a long, drawn out sigh.

A shot is shown as the camera looks up to the tops of the trees, as hundreds of luscious, green leaves cloud the view of the sky. A momentary clip is shown of Ebonie, who rises from under the water, cooling herself down from the afternoon heat. Back at camp, Phobos and Rick are left alone. Appearing devilish, Rick peers over to Phobos, grinning.

Rick (Quietly): I'm so happy for you, man.

Phobos, who's sitting beside the fire, looks over to Rick, who's sitting in the shelter.

Phobos grins,

Phobos: (Shaking head) I can't believe it.

Standing to his feet, Rick walks over and takes a seat next to Phobos.

Rick: (Chuckles) Two sandmen in the finals.

He says with, looking over to Phobos, trying to lead the conversation. Phobos nods.

Phobos: (Sighs) It's a big decision to make, and it's not one that I'm going to take lightly, that's for sure.

Rick squints.

Rick: At least I don't see Ebonie being the type to be bitter, she respects this game too much.

Phobos: Ya think?

Rick: Oh, for sure. She's a huge schemer, maybe the best of the season, Ebonie is what this game is about. She came out here, a dainty little model, with the target on her back of being out here with her twin sister, and yet still made it to the final three with ease.

Phobos listens closely to what Rick has to say.

Rick: I'm actually relieved one of us won that challenge today, otherwise I think she would've won.

Phobos: Really?

Rick: (Nods quickly) Oh, for sure.

Anambasrick I didn't put forth the amount of work and effort that I have in this game, to almost make it to the end and have someone, the likes of Phobos, cut me. No, (shakes head) I refuse. I will blow smoke up his (bleep), I'll talk up Ebonie's game play, I'll speak as though I have all the confidence in the world that he'll take me to the final two with him, because (sarcastically) a Sandman final two is what this season deserves. Whatever that oaf needs to hear to keep me around one more night.
RICK

'Huh', Phobos hums, looking to the ground.

Meanwhile, Ebonie finishes her dip in the ocean, walking up the beach in the direction of camp, dripping wet. She walks back into camp, puts on a shirt, and walks over to join Rick and Phobos around the fire. Neither make eye contact with her, which is easy to observe, and she immediately grows worried about their sheepish behaviour.

She uncomfortably clears her throat,

Ebonie: Can, uh, I talk to Phobos for a minute?

Slightly surprised, Rick looks up to her.

Rick: Are you asking me to leave?

Ebonie (softly): Um, I'm asking you to give us a minute.

Phobos looks from Ebonie to Rick.

Rick: Uh, (hesitates as if he's considering) ...(shakes head) no, sorry, I can't do that.

Annoyed, Ebonie scrunches her brow.

Ebonie: Why?

Rick chuckles, opening his hands.

Rick: Come on now, Ebonie, you know why I can't do that.

Phobos remains listening to the back and forth.

Ebonie: Are you afraid that Phobos is that small minded?

Phobos turns to Rick,

Rick: No! ...I just, ...we both know what this is about, lets not beat around the bush. As much as I can respect you wanting to talk to him, I'm sure you can respect that this is day 38, and, well, I can't let you do that.

Ebonie (Annoyed): Okay, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were his father.

Rick scoffs, but Phobos shakes his head, 'he's not', which surprises Rick, but makes Ebonie grin.

Ebonie: Would you like to go for a walk?

Phobos: Sure.

With that, Phobos rises from where he sits, and both he and Ebonie disappear down a jungle pathway. Leaving behind Rick, who appears on edge, but doesn't follow in fear of agitating Phobos.

The scene then cuts, as the camera picks up with Phobos and Ebonie, walking side by side among the tall, tropical trees.

Phobos: So, lets hear it, I'm sure you wanted to talk about the vote.

Twiddling with her fingers,

Ebonie (Nervously): Uh, yeah.

Anambasebonie I'm going to say it like it is for a moment, as harsh as it may or may not seem; Phobos is a conspiracy theorist, and much like their reputation, he's paranoid as (bleep) (laughs). This is my last chance, if I don't hit a home run with this pitch, I'll be going home tonight. I need to Phobos to see the light, without seeming like I'm trying to push my own agenda. Rick's the best player left of the three of us, and he needs to go to the jury so one of us can win.
EBONIE

Phobos: Alright, lets hear it.

Taking a deep breath, still fidgeting, Ebonie does her best.

Ebonie: I think, for either of us to stand a chance, Rick can't be in the finals. If he's in the final two, without a doubt, the jury will award him with the win. He's the best player out here, he has played a very well paced, strategic game. He has maneuvered so well, that he has maybe one enemy on the jury, Geoff, and even Geoff has his zen, (shakes head) so I can't see him being a bitter juror.

Phobos: Rick says the same thing about you, and honestly Ebonie, in all fairness, you're quite the competitor as well.

She awkwardly giggles,

Ebonie: Well, uh, thank you, first of all. Second of all, yes, I'll admit, I'm proud of the way I played, but there's one key difference between Rick and I.

Phobos awaits to hear,

Ebonie: Rick has had a pretty steady and easy journey, because he knows what he's doing, even his social game is on point. I've made a lot of moves too, sure, but my journey to the end has had just as many lows as it has had highs. I have the guts to make moves, but you know just as well as I do, things haven't always panned out for me.

Phobos: Okay, well, for the sake of sparring with you a bit here, I have to say, you've made a lot more flashier game moves than what Rick has. That's appealing to jury members.

Ebonie: And just as many of them crashed and burned as the ones that ended up being successful. So, I consider myself an even keel competitor. I also consider you one, no offence, because your game has lacked big moves.

These words earn a visible reaction from Phobos, as he jerks his head back and scrunches up his face.

Phobos: Well, I don't know how true that is. I played a huge roll in getting rid of Courtney. I know you started this game on the Monarch tribe, but she was a huge pre-merge personality on the Admiral tribe.

Ebonie: (Nods) Sure, I can agree with that. Sorry, I may have misspoke, I'm just trying to be honest with you. I'm not trying to offend, I'm trying to help you see that you stand a better chance winning against I, than Rick. We both benefit from Rick getting vote out.

Phobos sighs,

Phobos: I just don't know.

Ebonie (Confidently): I do.

Phobos looks over to her.

Ebonie: I think, in the end, both of our games are comparable, because we both even out around the middle ground area. Whereas Rick, (scoffs) Rick played one hell of a game, and I think his ranks a lot higher than either of ours.

Phobos: ...Would you vote for him in the end?

Ebonie: 100%.

Phobos huffs, looking away.

Ebonie: No offence.

Anambasphobos I don't really know what Ebonie's strategy is right now, I may have overestimated her. I don't think insulting the final immunity winner, the person who holds your fate in their hands, is a smart move. (Shrugs) Apparently she does though, and it has me bothered. Not her words, but the implications. Perception is reality in this game, so if she doesn't comprehend how flashy my game was, the jury might not be able to see the intricacies either. I'm frustrated, so with this vote I definitely have to add one final big move to my resume. The question is, is it Rick, or Ebonie, that is the big move?
PHOBOS

The camera then fades into the next scene, as the setting sun has thrown an orange glow over the Anambas. With a heavy breath, Ebonie takes her torch, followed by Phobos, and then Rick, as the final three depart for tribal council. As they walk through the sand, we can clearly see each of their faces. Each tells a story; Ebonie is fearful, Phobos is deep in thought, while Rick is nervous. While the three of them leave, only two will be making the same journey back in a matter of hours.

Rolling up his sleeves, Phobos takes a seat, looking the most confident he has throughout the whole competition.

Jeff Probst: (Nods) It's now time to bring in the members of the jury.

The silhouettes of the five current jury members can be seen, emerging from the darkness.

Jeff Probst: Nubia, Jay, Stacy, Leroy, Geoff, and Whitney, who was voted out at the last tribal council.

As Whitney takes her seat, she glances over to her former tribe mates, whom she just left twenty-four hours prior. Upon noticing the immunity necklace hanging around Phobos' neck, her jaw drops. This sight leaves multiple jurors surprised, as they break out into quiet murmurs. Nubia gives a hopeful expression to her sister, however Ebonie shrugs it off. This leaves Nubia uncertain.

Jeff Probst: Well, (opens up arms warmingly) final three.

He says, greeting them with a friendly smile.

Jeff Probst: Phobos,

He holds his head up high, happy with himself as his victory earlier today.

Jeff Probst: In, what is probably the biggest upset of the season thus far, you pulled through today and won the final immunity challenge.

Ebonie shuffles in her seat, as Phobos smiles with gleaming eyes.

Phobos: That's right.

Jeff Probst: On either side of you are Rick and Ebonie, only one of whom can join you in facing the jury tomorrow evening.

Phobos nods.

Jeff Probst: What immediately went through your mind when you won immunity today? I must add, your first of the season.

Phobos: (Nodding) Yeah. Well, of course, the first thing I thought was, what can I do to win?

He says, bursting out with laughter, while Ebonie and Rick stay somber. The camera hones in onto his allies face, as Rick scrunches his brow.

Jeff Probst: Rick.

Rick's brow straightens, then perks.

Jeff Probst: Why the reaction?

Ebonie turns her head to look over at her advisory, as does Phobos. By the expression on his face, it's obvious that Rick hadn't expected to be called on.

Rick: Well, uh...

Rick glances over to Phobos, then back to Probst; '(bleep) it', he spits out.

Rick: I'm gonna be honest here, Jeff, because at this point I don't think it really matters.

Rick looks over to Phobos again, almost as if he's looking for approval, but he gets nothing. Rick's eyes then slowly move over to Ebonie, who is clearly eager to listen to whatever it is that Rick has to say.

Rick: (Clears throat) There was an alliance, involving a few of us guys, and we called it the Sandmen, because most of us slept on the beach the very first night of the merge.

Over on the jury, Jay nods along, while Nubia looks surprised.

Rick: The game is basically done, all except for this vote, and the power is all in the hands of a Sandman. (Shrugs) Maybe I'm wrong, I could be in for a nasty surprise, but I don't really think that'll be happening. The ball is in our court, and I'm certain that Phobos is going to maintain the loyalty to the alliance.

Ebonie gulps, while Nubia, her twin sister, looks defeated; upset that her sisters fate may already be set in stone.

Ebonie: ...Phobos, you want to win this game, don't you?

She says, making eye contact with him, as Rick whips his head into Ebonie's direction.

Phobos: Well, uh, ...ye-yeah. Yes!

Ebonie raises her brow.

Ebonie: Confidence!

Phobos: I came here to win!

She then turns her attention to Probst.

Ebonie: There you have it, Jeff. He wants to win, so, maybe Rick's wrong, maybe it's not so cut and dry.

On the jury, Stacy and Geoff look to one another.

Ebonie: Because Rick is the biggest threat in this game. If Rick's here tomorrow, he wins, it's that simple. If Phobos does want to win, then he'd be lying to say he has thought about breaking free from the alliance tonight, and wanting to cast this vote for solely his own preservation.

Scoffing with a chuckle, this irks Rick, as he shakes his head.

Rick: Isn't that something? Pathetic. Phobos is a grown man!

He says, motioning to his long time ally.

Rick: Don't talk to him like that!

Rick then turns to Phobos, placing his hand onto his knee.

Rick: Don't take that from her, man. She may be a juror, but you deserve respect.

Ebonie: (Shaking head) I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I'm trying to make Phobos see the light.

Rick: Then don't talk to him like a child!

As Phobos looks from Ebonie on his left, to Rick on his right, the camera cuts to Nubia. 'Why not? She has done it to me all my life', Nubia whispers under her breath, reacting to Rick's conviction.

Jeff Probst: Clearly, Phobos, on either side of you are two people who desperately want to stay in this game.

Ebonie scowls at Rick, as he does back to her, while Phobos awkwardly sits between them, agreeing with Probst.

Jeff Probst: So what do you have to say to them, knowing you're about to seal one of their fates?

Sighing,

Phobos: Jeff, today both of them came to me, and basically said what they're saying now. Rick mentioned 'Sandmen, Sandmen, Sandmen', and said Ebonie would surely win if she was in the last two. Ebonie threw Rick under the bus, said that he'd win against me as well. I heard them both out, it was the least I could do, but ultimately the decision is mine. They should remember that.

Ebonie takes a deep breath, as Rick huffs.

Phobos: Either move is a big move, I think, and it's just about figuring out which big move is the right big move.

Jeff Probst: Do you think you're ready to make that decision?

Hesitating, Phobos then nods.

Jeff Probst: Alright. Then, it is time to vote; Phobos, you're up.

With a heavy breath, Phobos stands, and begins the long, familiar walk to the voting booth. Soon after, he reappears, sitting down next to both Ebonie and Rick, looking at neither of them as he keeps his head down.

Jeff Probst: (Nods) I'll go tally the vote...

As Jeff momentarily disappears, the camera hones in onto Rick, who clenches his eyes shut, and then onto Ebonie, who silently prays. After a few moments, Probst returns, carrying the urn in his arms and setting it down before him.

Grinning,

Jeff Probst: Once the vote is read, the decision is final. The person voted out will be asked to leave the tribal council area immediately. I'll read the vote.

Rick lowers his chin, locking his eyes direction onto Jeff, as Ebonie sucks her lips into her mouth, holding her breath. Reaching into the urn, Jeff pulls out Phobos' sole vote, opens it, glances at the name written, then looks up to the three awaiting faces before him.

Jeff Probst: Fifteenth person voted out and the seventh and final member of our jury...

Phobos looks down, then over to Rick. The two men make eye contact with one another as fear quickly fills Rick's eyes.

Rick (Quietly): Oh, you didn't... you little...-

Jeff turns around the ballot.

Jeff Probst: Rick. You'll need to bring me your torch.

Ebonie's hands fly up over the lower half of her face, covering her shocked expression, as Rick grunts and rolls his head around on his shoulders.

Rick: Seriously? (Grumbles inaudibly) You've got to be kidding me...

Looking frustrated and in a slight state of disbelief, Rick snatches his bag of belongings from near his feet, then stands and walks around to the hind side of the both Ebonie and Phobos. As he takes each step, Rick's head turns, allowing him to keep his eyes locked onto an awkward Phobos.

Phobos: I'm sorry.

Rick says nothing, looking away, grabbing his torch, and walking over to Probst, who awaits Rick with the infamous suffer in his hand.

Jeff Probst: Rick...

Sighing, Rick nods his head.

Jeff Probst: The tribe has spoken...

'Mhm', Rick hums, just before Probst reaches out, and turns the fire atop of his torch into nothing more than a trail of smoke.

Jeff Probst: It's time for you to go.

With that, Rick takes a few long strides, quickly disappearing behind the burning radio shack. All focus then turns to the final two, Phobos and Ebonie, as Jeff Probst takes his place before them. Excited, Ebonie reaches over to Phobos, as both of them have large smiles that take up the entire bottom half of their faces.

Ebonie (Giddy): Phobos! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Grinning, Phobos nods, then turns to look at Jeff.

Phobos: You're welcome.

Jeff Probst: Phobos, Ebonie, congratulations. The two of you have come as far as you can in this game and have done all you can do. Now, all the power shifts into the hands of the jury, seven people you each had a hand in voting out of this game. Tomorrow, you will face the jurors as you try to convince them why you're the best person to be crowned the Sole Survivor, earning the million dollar prize that goes along with it. You have the next twenty four hours to get rested and think about what it is you'd like to say. This is it, so make sure you bring all that you have left and leave nothing behind. Regrets is what creates a runner-up. Get a good rest, (nods) goodnight.

With those words, both Ebonie and Phobos take their things, and begin the long trek back to camp, just the two of them.

Riau Tribe[]

As dramatic music of excellence and excitement begins to play, Phobos and Ebonie return back to camp as the last two castaways left in the day, having just survived the games final elimination. The moon floats highly above the island, glowing brightly, disrupted by few passing clouds. With an ecstatic grin, Phobos leans his torch against the side of the shelter, turning to Ebonie, who also appears elated. Ebonie toss her torch to the ground, looking to Phobos and opening her arms wide. She runs to him, jumping, then wrapping her arms and legs around him. Not used to this treatment from a girl, Phobos' eyes widen as he begins to blush.

Squeaking and squealing, Ebonie doesn't hide her excitement.

Ebonie: Oh, Phobos, thank you! I can never tell you how much this means to me, thank you!

Phobos: I'm, uh, ...gonna put you down.

He says, taking staggering steps, unable to hold her up, eventually placing Ebonie back onto the ground.

Ebonie (Giggling): Sorry.

Phobos: It's all good.

He then offers her a high-five, which Ebonie happily takes.

Anambasphobos Tonight I made what could've possibly been the biggest move of this game, taking out Rick. We might've had an alliance bud, but, (shrugs) sorry. It's the end and I want to win. I think Ebonie has made a lot of mistakes this season, while I've done a good job at staying in good graces. I made it here without receiving any votes at all, that's tough to do! I truly do think I could win this game against her. I'm... I'm... I'm freaking out right now! Holy cow, this is actually happening.
PHOBOS

Still in slight disbelief, Ebonie turns around, holding her hands to her head, then walking over and promptly taking a seat on a stump near their smouldering fire.

Ebonie: I didn't actually think you'd do it.

Phobos comes over closer, kneeling down to fix the fire.

Ebonie: Like, ...oh my god, this is it. I can say I made it to the end of the game, wow, (holds hand to mouth) (astonished) that's so cool.

Phobos chuckles.

Ebonie: This is the last night there. This is the last time we do this, this whole... coming back to camp, the settling back in, (motions to fire) and getting things back in order. That's so weird.

Phobos: It's definitely going to be hard returning to our old normals.

Ebonie: Yeah... for sure...

As Ebonie's eyes glaze over, it's easy to see that she's day dreaming. Smiling, she lets out a few cheery giggles.

Anambasebonie (Holding hands to head; in shock) Wooooooah, my god. I can't believe it. He did it, he actually did it. I don't know if it was I that got into Phobos' head, or if he has more of a brain than I give him credit for, but hoooooooooly (bleep), I really didn't think he'd make that move. It's Phobos, come on! I can't believe I'm sitting in the final two with Phobos! I haven't played a perfect game, but it was a gutsy and thoughtful game. I'm definitely capable of beating Phobos, it's just going to be all about articulating why that is properly to the jury, and I'm the queen of composure, so that'll be a piece of cake.
EBONIE

Day 39[]

Riau Tribe[]

For the final time this season, the morning sun dawns on a new day of the Anambas islands, throwing a warm orange and yellow glow onto the beach. Multiple shots are shown from around the island, from the lush jungle, to the lively ocean, and the wildlife within the trees. As the sun continues to rise, the scene settles into camp, where Phobos is the first to rise, yawning, with major bedhead.

Phobos (Groggy): I can't believe it, day 39.

Not wanting to waste a second, he rushes out of the shelter, going for a walk to watch the sun one last time on the beach. The camera cuts, and we see his silhouette against the bright, colourful horizon; the sun at level with his head. As he walks, Phobos looks down, fiddling with his shirt and observing how large his formerly fitting shirt now is.

Anambasphobos Honestly, if I'm going to tell the truth here, never in a million years did I think I could make it this far. (Tears up) It's such a mind blowing feat to me, and... it's going to be something I cherish for the rest of my life. It's going to be the time that I showed myself: I can do it. Win or lose this game... but I want to win (laughs), I'll forever be grateful for this experience.
PHOBOS

It's now later in the day, and Ebonie throws her bag over her shoulder, then clasps it shut.

Ebonie: That's the last of my stuff.

The camera then cuts to Phobos, who has all of his things already, and has been waiting for her to finish. From out of view of the camera, he then holds up a make-shift torch that has been made from dead island grass. With tears falling from her face, Ebonie gives Phobos a nod. Phobos walks over to the fire, dips in the torch, and pulls it out. With fire inching its way closer to his hand, Phobos rushes over to the shelter, which we can now see has been filled by Ebonie and Phobos with dead jungle floor debris. Phobos tosses the torch, and it lands in the middle of the inside of the shelter, which quickly goes up into flames. Both Ebonie and Phobos stand, watching, saying nothing as their home for the last while continues to slowly burn to the ground. After a short while, it begins to lose structural integrity, as the whole thing collapses in onto itself, throwing hundreds of sparks dancing into the sky. Ebonie wipes her face, as she can't help but cry, emotional that such an enjoyable journey is coming to a close.

Anambasebonie I can't believe I made it to the end of this game, I really can't. I want to win so badly, I can't even put it into words. To accomplish something like this is such a huge F- you to all those bullies who picked on me for years, and it'll be a huge help to my family, still recovering from the hurricane. Unfortunately, tonight there's some stuff I have to own up to, and I'm not sure how it's going to be received. I just have to hope that game recognizes game, and that the jury wont be voting in a bitter manner, because I know I deserve to win this over Phobos, and that's the candid tea! (Sighs) incredible experience.
EBONIE

As the sun then begins to fall, setting upon the day and turning the light into darkness. Ready one final time, Phobos and Ebonie grab their torches, and head out on what's sure to be an intense, and life changing evening for both of them.

Final Tribal Council[]

Both with nerve-wracked faces, illuminated by the raging fires around them, Ebonie and Phobos enter into the tribal council area for the final time this season. Anxious about the night to come, they set down their torches and sit down.

Jeff Probst: It’s now time to bring in the members of our jury.

The silhouettes of the seven jurors can be seen emerging from the darkness, entering tribal council.

Jeff Probst: Nubia, Jay, Stacy, Leroy, Geoff, Whitney, and Rick, who was voted out at the last tribal council.

Upset that he fell one day short, Rick glares at the final two with jealousy while taking his seat.

Jeff Probst: Phobos, Ebonie, (turns slightly) jury, welcome to the final tribal council of Survivor: Anambas. After 39 days, it all comes down to this, and the decisions that the seven of you make tonight.

Grinning, Nubia appears satisfied to hear this.

Jeff Probst: Things will kick off with an opening statement from each member of the final two, before each juror is given the opportunity to ask them a question. This is to allow both Ebonie and Phobos to come clean about anything they may wish to admit, while giving the jury an opportunity to gain crucial information to make their big decision.

Stacy nods, then excitedly looks over to Geoff.

Jeff Probst: Phobos, as the winner of the final immunity challenge, we’ll start things off this evening with you.

Phobos (Nervously): (Clears throat) Okay then,

He looks over to the jury, where all seven faces stare back at him.

Phobos: I’m sure you’d all agree with the statement that Survivor is one hard game, hell, it’s probably the hardest thing that I’ve ever done.

Whitney nods, agreeing.

Phobos: It’s a combination of brains, brawn, …and luck.

On the jury, Nubia (Whispering): A whole lot of luck…

Phobos: I know a lot of people discounted me in this game, especially as time went on and I started to flop harder and harder in the challenges, but lets not forget that I won the final and most important immunity. I was apart of alliances, both pre-merge and during the merge, and using those numbers I made moves that benefitted me and my game.

Nubia rolls her eyes, clearly already having decided she is unimpressed with Phobos’ gameplay, but in contrast, Jay, who sits next to Nubia, nods his head.

Phobos: I maintained strong bonds with all of you throughout this game…

The camera once again pans to Nubia, who looks confused.

Nubia (Mouthing): No.

Phobos: I managed to stay in the middle, while others made targets out of themselves, and made it all the way here tonight without receiving one vote.

This statement impresses Geoff.

Phobos: I think this season I played a very good, very underrated game. I’m excited for this opportunity tonight to hopefully enlighten some people on that.

With that, Phobos finishes, giving a nod.

Jeff Probst: Ebonie.

With a deep breath, she begins.

Ebonie: Coming into this game, I had very low expectations of myself, but high hopes. I knew that this environment wouldn’t be my forte, I’m not necessarily a camper, but I’m a thinker and a lover of this game. I wanted to challenge myself, and you know what? I learned that I have a much more competitive edge to myself than I ever thought.

Smiling, Nubia listens.

Ebonie: I was immediately thrown into this game with a target on my back, coming with my twin, but somehow, miraculously, I prevailed, …we both did for awhile, with help from one another. While some of you may see that as an advantage, it most certainly was not.

Whitney flicks her hair over her ear, giving her undivided attention to Ebonie, but Stacy doesn’t seem as convinced.

Ebonie: I fought my way through the late days of the pre-merge and early on the in merged tribe, …and did what I had to do.

As a rattlesnake sound effect rolls through the scene, the camera cuts to show an oblivious Nubia, who tilts her head to the left.

Ebonie: I took risks, I made moves, some panned out, while others didn’t. While some may debate how good I was as a player, no one here can say that I wasn’t gutsy, yet no one looked twice at me, because I know the fact I’m articulate and well-spoken is one of my strong suits, and used that to my advantage.

Rick sighs, wishing he was in her position.

Ebonie: So, ask away, and hopefully I can convince you of what I already feel deep down, that I’m the winner of this season.

Geoff and Stacy look to one another as Leroy rolls his eyes.

Jeff Probst: Alright, finalists, thank you. Jury, it’s now your turn. For the last several tribal councils you’ve sat and listened to what’s going on, and what has to be said. Now the power shifts into your hands. I’ll give you all a few moments to think about what it is you’d like to say when addressing the jury, and after that, we’ll let the questioning begin.

The screen shows us the jury, as each member begins to think about what it is that they’d like to ask or say, before cutting to a commercial break.

Whitney[]

Jeff Probst: Jury, I know you’ve all patiently waited for this moment, as it’s now time for you to one-by-one address Ebonie and Phobos. Whitney, you’re up first.

With bright, excited eyes, Whitney stands and fixes her hair as she steps forward, standing before Phobos and Ebonie.

She curtsies.

Whitney: First of all, I’d just like to give a big congratulations to both of you. Sitting where you both are is no easy task, which I can confirm, after two failed attempts (giggles).

Phobos nods, as Ebonie smiles and thanks her.

Whitney: My question goes to both of you. After my last season, I went home with a lot of regrets that ate away at me over the last four years, because there was so much I knew I could’ve done differently. It was always in the back of my mind, the ‘what ifs’. What is the one thing, from day one to thirty-nine, would you say is your biggest regret. Phobos, you can go first.

Phobos: (Draws in breath) Well, I definitely think I was doing quite well for myself when I was a member of the Admiral tribe, I was one of the people who had the control, who was making the decisions as to who was going to go.

On the jury, Nubia squints.

Phobos: It was only once I got to the Riau tribe, saw all the big personalities and players, that I knew what I had to do was ride the middle. I’m happy with the game I played, I was never once a target, but I do wish I had’ve stepped up maybe one more time on my own to make a flashy move, solidifying myself as someone who was here to play. Although, with that said, I don’t think that it means I’m a crummy player because I didn’t- just smart and calculating.

Leroy smirks and chuckles to himself, earning a dirty look from Phobos.

Whitney: Okay, thanks. Ebonie.

Ebonie: Um, I think my biggest regret would also have to do with the merge, and not taking control of the situation myself. I should’ve stepped up more to guarantee my stop, along with Nubia’s spot. It’s not like I tried, I did, but clearly it didn’t work, so I regret that I didn’t put in the proper amount of work. It was a miscalculation on my behalf, and it made those early days a bit of an uphill battle. But, even then, I don’t really have a regret. I played the best I could, with the knowledge of relationships I had… so, honestly… that’s a bit of a reach for me to even say. Things didn’t always work out, but I rolled with the punches and I’m proud of that. (Shrugs) That’s it.

Whitney: Thanks you two, congratulations again.

Pleased with her answers, Whitney turns around and heads back to her seat.

Leroy[]

Jeff Probst: Leroy, you’re up.

With a reluctant look upon his face, and a sigh, Leroy places his hands onto his knees and gives himself the push upward he needs to stand, before dragging his feet to before the final two. Ebonie’s smile slowly fades as she notices his obvious distain toward them, as Phobos doesn’t hide his annoyance either, looking Leroy from head to toe.

Most of the jury also appear over Leroy’s antics, that is all except for Nubia, who’s quietly giggling to herself.

Leroy: I have to admit, I’m not overly excited to see either of you here.

Phobos scrunches his face up.

Leroy: Phobos, I don’t understand where you get a single idea that you played some strategic game. From what I saw, as a member of the Sandman alliance, you road coattails.

Whitney’s eyes light up from the juror bench, her mouth parting in complete surprise. Phobos sucks his teeth, before looking to the ground and spitting.

Leroy: Ebonie, I also don’t think that you’re as smart as you think you are. Gutsy? More like a sloppy and bad decision maker, who, by the way, had a nasty streak in her. You weren’t overly nice to me in my last days, so why on earth would I reward that money to you? Neither of you represent our season as a winner in the day I’d like, so I’m really left up in the air. It quite frankly sucks that I have to vote for either of you.

As the camera cuts over to Probst, it’s clear by the expression on his face that even he is frustrated with Leroy’s statements. A pause then falls over the set, as Leroy has finished blabbering, but no one knows what to say.

Phobos: Are we even supposed to respond to that?

Leroy: Oh, I didn’t ask any questions. I just wanted you to know.

Jeff Probst: Thanks, Leroy.

Leroy (Proudly): Thank you.

He then saunters off, retaking his place. Phobos shakes his head, looking over to the jury, and then to Ebonie.

Phobos: He’s wrong.

  Ebonie: (Smirks) Is he?

She then looks over to the jury, where Nubia gives her a wink.

Jay[]

Jeff Probst: Jay, it’s your turn.

Exhaling an anxious breath, worried about having to stand in front of everybody, Jay treads lightly on his feet over to into place.

Jay: To echo Whitney, firstly I’d like to say congratulations to both of you.

On the jury, Leroy rolls his eyes.

Jay: It’s something that none of us (motions to the jury) were able to accomplish, so you both deserve kudos for that.

Both Ebonie and Phobos thank him graciously.

Jay: I’ll, uh, be honest with you both, my mind is already made up.

Ebonie seems worried by this, as Phobos smiles.

Jay: In light of everything though, I would like to say a few things. Ebonie, you’ve played a great game, I think it’s what this competition is all about. You’re someone who, like me, was thrown way out of their comfort zone, and flourished. You understood that this was a game, you made moves, took risks, and did whatever you could to ensure yourself another day.

This perks Ebonie back up, as her frown starts to turn upside down.

Jay: Ebonie, you had fun out here, and I think that’s what this is all about. In my own opinion, I think you’re a top tier finalist that this series has ever seen. Be proud of that.

Phobos glances over to Ebonie as she eagerly takes in the praise, then over to Jay, waiting to her what he has to say about him.

Jay: Phobos.

Phobos smiles.

Jay: Phobos, you were one of my best friends out here. Because of the fact half our tribe got sick, we found ourselves as early allies in this game, and you really looked out for me as you could. I think a vast majority of people on this jury don’t fully underestimate the game that you played.

Taking a deep breath, Phobos puffs out his chest, liking what he has to hear.

Jay: You held control from the very start dude, and even took out major people like Courtney, and even nuts-o Sierra, all before day 20! From the merge you found an alliance, and you didn’t need to make big flashy moves to stand out, I mean, why would you make yourself a target like that? The Sandmen had a lot of control in the early merge, and you were apart of all their conversations, able to guide them however you please.

From the jury, Leroy disagrees, blowing his tongue through his puckered lips; ‘PFFFFT.’ However, Jay persists.

Jay: Most vote-offs benefitted you, so I don’t see why you’d go out of your way to put a stoplight on yourself. Then, to make that final, ‘hey, notice me’, you got rid of Rick, who, (nods) yes, would’ve easily won this game. All without getting a single vote cast against you. Phobos, I think you’re being criminally undersold. You have my vote tonight, buddy, I sincerely hope that you can get three more. You deserve it just as much as anyone here.

Ebonie glares over into Phobos’ direction, as he wipes away a happy tear, thanking Jay, who takes his seat with the rest of the jurors.

Geoff[]

Jeff Probst: Geoff, it’s your turn.

With a nod, Geoff stands, and wisps over into place, excited for his chance to speak to the final two as he rubs his hands together.

Geoff: Well, well, well, the time has finally come. Great job guys, I’m proud to say that you are the two who made it to the end in a season that I was apart of.

Over on the jury, Nubia acknowledges this shot at Leroy and looks over to him, seeing Leroy shake his head in disapproval. She motions her hand as if she was brushing him off.

Geoff: Truth be told, I thought my mind was made up, but after hearing a few things said tonight… I’m a little up in the air.

Both Phobos and Ebonie turn to look at one another. Phobos gulps.

Geoff: We’ve heard why people like your games, and why you each think you are deserving. So, I’m interested in hearing the opposite; why do you each think the person sitting next to you should lose? Ebonie, you can go first.

Ebonie presses her lips together, breathing through them slowly, then turns to Phobos. As she places her hand onto his shoulder, she apologizes, then turns back to the jury.

Ebonie: Leroy was right, Phobos literally did just ride coattails. He was basically furniture around camp, it was a rare day that he did anything, or even socialize with people other than Whitney, or people directly in his alliance. Social game? Ha! What social game, like, are you kidding me? The only reason he made it this far into the game is because he was a good goat, there was always a priority ahead of him… in his case, basically the entire cast. Phobos didn’t have his name written down, not because he’s a smart player, but because no one wanted to waste their time. He got Rick because I told him to get rid of Rick, and hands down, that’s one thing that Phobos is smart enough to understand, Rick would win if he was here, so Phobos had no choice, so I find it odd that he’s crying to take credit for it.

On the jury, both Nubia and surprisingly Leroy seem to be enjoying this, while Jay finds it to be overly harsh.

Ebonie: So, that leaves us with Sierra and Courtney. Honestly, I don’t know much about the Sierra situation as, I wasn’t on that tribe, other than the fact she was sick. Troublemaker? Maybe, but Jay giving him credit for that was baloney. Courtney? Also, wasn’t on that tribe, but from the stories we’ve all heard, it’s a questionable move at best.

With that, Ebonie exhales a long breath, then leans back in her chair, grinning, then nervously looking over to her opponent.

Geoff: Phobos.

Sweating, Phobos looks to the ground, ‘um’, he nervously mumbles, then looks back up with fearful eyes.

Phobos: Well, where to begin?

Nubia rolls her eyes.

Phobos: Ebonie had it all coming into this game. She was one of the most physically fit on a successful tribe. Not only that, but she came into this game with someone she knew she could trust 100%, her sister. Ebonie had it all to get to the finals, so it’s really not surprising that she got here, but man, oh man, did she ever make a lot of mistakes that made for an unnecessarily bumpy ride.

Ebonie leans away from him, already seeming as though she’s annoyed.

Phobos: She only won one more competition than the guy who lost them all by coming in dead last every time, and lost her twin early in the merge. If she was as good of a player as she thought she was, Ebonie would’ve been able to talk people into keeping her. However, she didn’t, because me and my alliance knew that what we wanted to do was the right thing. Ebonie, and even her friend Whitney, faced a lot of adversity in the game.

Nodding, Ebonie mouths, ‘that we did’. Over on the jury, Whitney grins, mouthing, ‘and we came out on top’.

Phobos: All because of her bumpy gameplay. Someone who had so many hits and misses doesn’t deserve to win over someone to had control and good relationships.

Nubia begins to giggle, leaning over to Jay and commenting on how delusional she feels Phobos is, which doesn’t bode well with him as Jay speaks up for himself the first time this season, asking her to leave him alone. Satisfied with his answers, Geoff thanks the finalists and rejoins the rest of the jurors.

Stacy[]

Jeff Probst: (Nods) Stacy.

Standing and walking over to before Ebonie and Phobos, Stacy’s dress flows elegantly behind her.

Stacy: Great job you guys, I know we might not’ve been the three bestest of friends, but I do respect both of you as players.

She sighs, motioning to herself.

Stacy: I’m a huge fan of this game, as you all might’ve guessed, since I entered through the 16th Castaway competition. I’m sorry I left the way I did, this just meant a lot to me, so to lose, I was heartbroken. Now that I’ve had time to reflect, I want to say, to all of you, how much each and every one of you made this experience what it was for me; a dream come true. Game recognizes game, and I want to say, neither of you have to worry about me being bitter. I want the most well rounded player to succeed, so I’m going to give you both fair consideration.

Both Phobos and Ebonie nod, appreciating Stacy’s gesture.

Stacy: As a fan, I’m a lover of big moves. So, I’m curious, because I’m sure there’s lots to know that I just don’t. I want to know what you each think your biggest and most impressive move was this season, and why that’s what you think. Phobos, you can go first.

Phobos: Well, I’d hate to sound like a broken record…

He then motions over to the jury, the exact person everyone had suspected; Rick.

Phobos: I think getting Rick out was a big move.

On the jury, Rick shakes his head and rolls his eyes, clearly the wrong answer for him.

Phobos: He was the biggest threat in this game, by far the best player of the season. He was on no ones radar most of the time, and he maneuvered amazingly strategically. If I kept him, I would’ve lost, any of you would’ve lost against him. Rick was the biggest threat, thus the biggest blindside, and biggest move, of the whole season. (Motions to self) Made by me, the only other person who made it to the end without being on anyone’s radar.

He finishes with a smile, which Stacy reciprocates, then moves on to Ebonie.

Ebonie: Well, …(clears throat and grunts) um, well, (nervous giggle).

Nubia hones her attention in onto Ebonie, her sister.

Ebonie: My biggest move is actually, …something I’ve kept a secret until now. It’s something that nobody knows.

Curious, on the jury, Rick tilts his head.

Ebonie: (Takes deep breath) Coming into this game, I came with someone who I trust very dearly, my sister.

Immediately, Nubia sits up straight, as Geoff looks over to her.

Ebonie: I was stoked when we got to both enter the game as individuals, (chuckles) not just both of us posing as me. Once the both of us made it to the merge, I was overjoyed, I couldn’t believe that we made that happen. Unfortunately, that was where our luck ran out. It didn’t take long for us to get sniffed out as threats, so it was only a matter of time before one of us had to go.

Phobos, who sits next to her, nods, as Nubia leans forward in her chair.

Ebonie: It got to the point where the gun was locked, loaded, and pointed at us. Nubia was, (glances to her sister) no offence, causing a lot of waves around camp at that point in time. I was known as being the more levelheaded twin, and was worried that people would soon want to take a shot at me instead of her, and at the end of the day… this game is all about self preservation.

On the jury, Leroy leans over into Geoff’s ear. ‘Holy (bleep), he whispers, starting to realize what’s coming, before snort laughing and looking over to a growingly enraged Nubia. ‘Where is this going?’, Nubia whispers beneath her breath.

Ebonie: So, …I have to admit to you all, …I was that mystery vote when Nubia was eliminated. I lied about it, and I’m sorry, it’s just what I had to do.

‘WHAT?!’, Nubia hollers out, drawing attention from Ebonie to herself. ‘You did what?’, she demands, then peeps down, knowing she’s causing a scene when it’s not her own turn. ‘Oh you just wait…’, Nubia mumbles beneath her breath. A few people down from her, smug Leroy is suddenly engaged and enjoying what’s happening tonight.

Ebonie: I did, and I’m sorry, and I had to. It was live or die for me, and I wanted to live. I didn’t think Nubia stood an actual chance to make it to the end, while I did. Our family needs this money, we lost everything in hurricane harvey-

Phobos (Interrupting): -You don’t even live there.

Ebonie stops in the middle of her sentence, turning to Phobos in a surprisingly aggressive manner.

Ebonie (Annoyed): Excuse me? How dare you! You don’t know the half of it, okay? So keep your mouth shut, that’s so not cool. Don’t comment on what you don’t understand. I may work away from home, but home is still home, family is still my family, and their hurt is my hurt. The people I care about most need this money, which is why both Nubia and I jumped on the opportunity to do the twist when Survivor asked us. How dare you say something like that? Keep quiet about such matters.

Phobos says nothing as Ebonie cracks her neck, then continues with what she was saying.

Ebonie: I lied, because no one would trust me if people knew I’d even vote out my own sister. My loyalty in this game expired when you became a burden, and Nubia did just that. If my family was to get this money, Nubia had to leave at that point, and so I saw to it that she did.

Boiling with anger, Nubia shakes her head. Jay appears uncomfortable by how closely seated he is to such radiating negative emotion.

Ebonie: And all I needed to do was shrug and say, ‘I don’t know’, and you all pointed fingers at one another. Was it worth it, betraying my sister? I was never really much of a target after that, and now I sit here. So, yeah, (nods) it was worth it. We both came out here to win for the same people, as long as that money makes it home, that’s all that matters.

Nervous, she then looks over and gives Nubia a friendly smile, but gets nothing in return other than a glare. Still in shock, Stacy thanks them both, then takes her seat.

Rick[]

Jeff Probst: Rick, you’re up.

From the end of the jury line-up, Rick stands and makes his way to face the two finalists, who, up until last night, were both tribe mates of his. Taking his place,

Rick: I want to start by saying I’m happy for you both.

Ebonie smiles.

Rick: …But, I’m not.

Right away, Ebonie’s smile fades.

Rick: (Sighs) I mean, well, I am, but it’s hard to be. The wound is still fresh, and… (motions to them) god, I wish I were one of you.

Feeling bad, Phobos looks to his feet.

Rick: Like Geoff, I too came in here tonight thinking that I had my mind made up. Phobos, buddy, you’re a strange dude, but I have grown to like you a lot. I really would love the winner of this game to be someone I was at least close to, but I didn’t necessarily know if the others would see it fit to reward you. Now? (Shrugs) Now I can’t even say that I know how I’m going to vote, but, you do have a chance for me to swing your way, and I think a few others behind me right now feel the same way.

Grinning, Phobos looks pleasantly surprised with the way this has gone for himself, thanking Rick as he takes in a breath of relief.

Rick: However…

Suddenly, Phobos proud expression drops from his face.

Rick: You only seem to regurgitate the same things to us, as if you don’t have much to boast about, or like you’ve rehearsed. Courtney this, Rick that, maybe it’s losing effect every time I hear it, but they’re really uninspiring answers. I want to know what your biggest move is, aside from getting rid of me, this isn’t about stroking my ego, and why. You had no choice in the matter, like it was said tonight, you know you’d loss. I’d hate to say it, but taking credit for that is cheap, Phobos. Extra points to you if you don’t mention Courtney.

Taking a deep breath, Phobos collects himself.

Phobos: Well, other than getting rid of you, getting rid of Courtney was a big move.

Rick face palms, while multiple jurors either rub their faces or groan.

Phobos: She was a huge presence, someone actively playing the game, and even though she was my ally, Courtney needed to go. She was a bonafide threat. (Shakes head) There’s no way I could’ve let her run loose in the merge, she’d cause damage and lots of trouble.

Rick shakes his head.

Rick (Disappointed): I wanted you to inspire me, man.

He then turns to look at Ebonie.

Rick: Congrats, Eb, I’ve got nada for you.

She grins and nods as Rick returns to his seat.

Nubia[]

Jeff Probst: Finally, last but not least, Nubia.

With teary eyes and a devilish grin, Nubia lets out a heavy exhale, rising to her feet and standing before both Phobos, and her twin sister, Ebonie, before loudly cupping her hands together.

Nubia: Well, well, well…

Nervous, Ebonie shuffles in her seat.

Nubia: I... honestly had nothing prepared for tonight. I, like a few other of my fellow jurors, came into tonight thinking that I knew exactly how I was going to vote. My plan was to come up here, make a joke or two, then take a seat, but now?

The camera zooms in onto Ebonie, who takes a deep breath.

Nubia: Now I'm going rogue.

Ebonie tilts her head to the side, as Phobos grins.

Nubia: Ebonie, how could you?

Wanting to reply, Ebonie goes to speak, but Nubia quickly cuts her off, not allowing it.

Nubia: You robbed, not only I of the million, but potentially our family.

Once again, Ebonie goes to speak, but just like last time, Nubia speaks over her.

Nubia: You didn't know the final outcome of anything, that's bull(bleep)! Don't come in here and tell me such things, you made a dumb and selfish move, and I don't care to hear your excuses.

Phobos' grin grows wider as Ebonie huffs, frustrated.

Nubia: You've always been obsessed with being the perfect, proper, and successful sister, while leaving me behind in the dust.

Groaning, Ebonie shakes her head.

Ebonie: Not true.

Over on the jury, both Stacy and Geoff cringe, while Leroy looks bored.

Nubia: I cannot- I can't believe you'd do that to me. Coming in here tonight, having you drop that bombshell... I... (shakes head and begins to tear up) (voice breaks) I don't even know what to think.

Once again, Ebonie goes to speak, but Nubia doesn't allow it.

Nubia: You're a selfish bitch, Ebonie. You've shown to not only me and our family, but the whole entire country now, who you truly are.

It's clear that these words cut Ebonie deep, as her true heartfelt raw emotion begins to seep onto the expression of her face.

Ebonie: May I speak?

Nubia: No. (Shaking head) Honestly, Ebonie, I don't give a (bleep) what it is that you have to say on the situation, my mind is already made up.

Sighing, Ebonie looks to the ground.

Nubia: You (bleep)ed me, and now it's my turn to (bleep) you. You've lost my vote, and I hope it's the vote that loses you the same.

Looking up from her feet, Ebonie makes eye contact with Nubia, unable to believe the hatred that her own twin is spewing in her direction. With that, Nubia looks over to Jeff, thanks him for the time to speak, and then takes her seat. The jury mumbles to one another, whispering about what had just transpired, as Ebonie wipes the tears from her cheek. Trying to comfort her, Phobos reaches over, rubbing Ebonie's knee, but is also satisfied with Nubia's firey speech.

Final Tribal Council[]

Jeff Probst: Alright jury, you've heard a lot tonight, gathered a lot of information to make a million dollar decision. I'll give you a moment to think about it, and then we will vote.

-The scene then cuts to the final commercial break of the season-

The scene then returns from break, giving his an establishing shot of tribal council, eventually honing in onto Jeff who's lit by the warm orange glow of the fire.

Jeff Probst: Jury, it's now time to take everything you've heard tonight, and over the last thirty nine days, and make your decision. Remember, you're voting for who you want to win this game. One by one you'll each make your way up to the voting booth and make your decision, (points to Nubia) Nubia, you're up.

With a deep breath, Nubia stands and makes the short familiar journey up to the privacy of the voting booth. Grabbing ahold of the marker and taking the top off, he begins to write down a giant 'P'.

(Looking angry, holds up vote, then places it into the urn. Saying nothing, she turns around, and walks back to the main area of tribal council)

–Nubia (voting for Phobos)

Leroy, Stacy, Geoff, Rick and Jay are shown walking up to the voting booth in montage, before finally finishing onto Whitney as she writes down Ebonie's name.

I'm so happy and proud that I get to cast this vote for you tonight. I wish you the best of luck and hope you can get three more of these.

–Whitney (voting for Ebonie)

Whitney places her final vote of the season into the urn, then walks back and takes her seat with the rest of her fellow jury members. The scene then cuts to Jeff, who now stands before the entire group.

Jeff Probst: (Nods) For the final time this season, I'll go tally the votes...

As Jeff disappears the camera focuses in onto Ebonie, who releases a long and slow sigh, and then onto Phobos, who taps his foot anxiously. Soon after, Jeff returns, holding the urn under his arm.

Jeff Probst: After thirty nine long days, and coming as far as you can in this game, we are officially done and there's nothing more either of you can do to prove your case. Phobos, Ebonie, Jury; thank you so much for another incredible season. The next time I see all of you, it'll be in New York City for the reading of the votes.

The camera shows Ebonie, who's crying, as Jeff takes the votes with him, walking passed the finalists, and disappearing into the darkness of the night. As the screen cuts to another shot, Jeff rounds a corner, entering into a crowd of cheering Survivor fans, as after a few fancy camera tricks, we're now in present time, at the live finale. Smiling, always uplifted by the warm reception from fans, Probst gives out a few high-fives while walking down the isle, then walking up onto stage where the jury, and Ebonie and Phobos, eagerly await him to read the results. Finally, we get a quick shot of both Ebonie and Phobos' families sitting in the front row.

Jeff Probst: Wow, thank you, thank you. Wow! Well, what has been yet another incredible season full of lies, betrayal, and new strategies we have yet to see before, it has all come down to this.

Jeff places his hand on top of the urn.

Jeff Probst: Inside of this urn contains seven ballots, each with the name of one of you on it. It takes four votes to win... (nods) without further ado, I'll read the votes.

Both Phobos and Ebonie appear nervous, holding hands with one another. Jeff grabs ahold of the top of the urn, places it down beside it, and reaches in for the first vote.

...

...

He opens it, glances at the name for a moment, then smirks before flipping it around.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Jeff Probst: Ebonie.

The crowed applauds as Ebonie smiles, Phobos, trying to be a good sport, clenches her hand tightly and holds it up.

...

...

...

...

Jeff Probst: Phobos.

Phobos throws his head back, relieved to see his own name written down.

...

...

...

...

Probst then pulls out another ballot.

...

...

...

...

After glancing at it, the name is then revealed by Jeff.

Jeff Probst: Phobos.

Phobos buries his face into his hands, then looks back up to double check it registered to him correctly. 'Woah', he mouths, looking over to a supportive Ebonie, who's clapping for him. In the audience Phobos' family electrically cheers, while Ebonie's are more reserved.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Jeff Probst: Ebonie.

Once again, the crowd cheers, as both finalists are now tied with two votes each. Ebonie looks over to Phobos, and he glances back to her, they both smile to one another. Phobos then momentarily lets go of Ebonie's hand, wiping the palm sweat off onto his dress shirt, before clenching her hand again.

...

...

...

...

Jeff Probst: Next vote,

It's then turned around.

Jeff Probst: Phobos.

Growing nervous, as Phobos only needs one more vote to win the entire game, Ebonie licks her lips, as Phobos appears in utter disbelief.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Ebonie exhales a long breath.

...

...

...

Jeff Probst: Ebonie.

Stressed, Phobos closes his eyes, as Ebonie looks surprised, taking a deep breath.

Jeff Probst: We're tied, three votes for Phobos to win, three votes for Ebonie to win. It all comes down to this, this seventh and final vote.

The camera hones in onto Nubia, who awaits the results.

...

...

...

...

...

...

Slowly reaching into the urn, Probst grabs the final and decision making vote, opening it up, and looking at the name written.

...

...

...

Jeff glances up from the paper in his hands, looking to Ebonie, and then to Phobos, before grinning.

Jeff Probst: The winner of Survivor: Anambas...

...

...

...

...

...

Phobos runs his hands through his long, groomed hair, as Ebonie shakes her head, unable to believe she may be seconds from becoming a millionaire.

...

...

...

...

Jeff then reveals the result.

...

...

...

Jeff Probst: Ebonie.

As the audience erupts into screams and applause, Phobos jumps from his seat, cheering in excitement for his friend, not wanting to be a sore loser, as Ebonie, Wafflefreak's sixth winner, begins to sob as she buries her face into her hands, in total and utter disbelief. Most jurors stand, clapping for their champion, except for Nubia, who gives an unenthusiastic applause. Phobos' family even gives their respect to Ebonie, while the Upshaw family completely loses their minds, celebrating for their beloved Ebonie.

As the pre-jury members begin to filter into view from backstage, and the jury swarms the finalists, Phobos finally manages to get Eboine to stand to her feet. Although it's too loud to hear anything, we can see from Ebonie's lip movements that she's saying, 'I can't believe this. Don't pinch me, don't wake me up.' Tears of joy stream down her face. Ebonie gives each juror a hug as they approach, even Nubia gives her a pat on the back, before turning and giving Phobos a tight squeeze. With that, Ebonie then looks out to the fans, blowing them a kiss, and then rushing down to the loving embrace of her family members. Their mother beckons Nubia down, and Nubia obliges, but stands an awkward distance away from the celebrations.

Jeff Probst: After another epic 39 day battle, 20 year old Ebonie Upshaw, the former bullied outsider turned overseas top model has been crowned the Sole Survivor, earning the million dollar prize that comes with it!
