Two members (one man and one woman) from each tribe will have a pole across their shoulders. Each round, weight (20 lbs.) will be added to each pole. The decision about which tribe member gets the weight will be made by the other tribe. When the weight becomes too much to bear, the tribe member will drop the pole and be out of the challenge. Last person left standing wins reward for their tribe.
Reward: A hammock, pillows, blankets (1st place); Pillows (2nd place).
Reward Challenge: Dishwalla (David vs. Goliath)
Each tribe must carry a large saucer over to a water tower to fill it with water. They must then carry it back to fill a well to release puzzle pieces. The first two tribes to finish their puzzle win.

Night Nine[]
Persatuan Tribe[]
The episode begins with a shot of the moon, radiating its light in the clear dark sky, a silent peace filling the atmosphere for the shortest of moments. As the background music begins to play and the footsteps of the five remaining Persatuan members grow louder, it's clear this peace is soon to be interrupted. There's a loud WHACK-ing noise, and the camera immediately cuts to the source of the noise: Jordan Pham smacking her torch against the tree as Brady jumps in recoil.
Jordan (Muttering): I can't believe this.
Having heard the noise and watched Jordan's aggressive handling of her torch, the rest of the Persuatan tribe members file in quietly, not wanting to disturb her in the midst of her anger. Ever the optimist, Brady steps up to the plate.
Brady: Are you okay, Jordan?
Jordan: No. No, I'm not okay.
'Oh,' is all Brady can reply with before Jordan puts a hand to his face.
Jordan: Look, Brady, I don't want to snap at you right now, but I'm really upset right now, so please leave me alone.
Brady: I'm really sorry, Jordan. If you feel like you want to talk about--
Jordan: Brady. Be. Quiet. Please.
Looking like he wants to continue, Brady opens his mouth to respond but pauses as he sees his tribemates shaking their heads from the corner of his eye. Shutting his mouth and sighing, Brady watches sadly as Jordan tosses her bag into the shelter and makes her way down to the beach, sniffling.
Brady: Oh...she really took that to heart, didn't she?
Heather (Sighs): Sure looks like it.
Millard and Marcia sit down in the shelter, breathing out sighs of relief, as Brady and Heather continue to stand in awkward silence. Glancing over towards them, Marcia offers them a weak smile.
Marcia: Thank you two so much. I-I can't even, I mean, I'm just so grateful.
Concern written everywhere on her face, Marcia turns to a quiet Millard.
Marcia: Do you think she'll be alright?
Millard keeps silent, giving her a simple shrug. Overhearing them,
Brady: Should someone go get her?
Marcia (Shakes head): No, I think that'll just make things worse.
Brady looks to Heather for support, but she simply gives him a shrug. 'If that's what you wanna do,' she sighs,
Heather: It's entirely your call. But don't come crying to me when she tries to bite your head off.
Still insistent, 'But I...' Brady frowns, not knowing what to do. Heather gives him an alarmed look, realizing that he's actually going to do it.
Brady: I'll go check on her.
The scene then transitions down to where Jordan is sitting on the beach alone, crying as quietly as she can. Wiping away her tears, which are immediately replaced by new ones, she whispers urgently to herself,
Jordan: Come on, get yourself together. This isn't the end.
Jordan continues to cry herself, looking distraught over the events of the vote. Just as her sobs begin to cry down, she spots Brady approaching her and groans.
Jordan: What are you doing here?
Brady: Jordan...I really wanted to apologize to you.
Jordan: Save it, Brady. I just don't want to hear it right now.
Brady: Can't I at least explain why we voted Jalen out?
Crossing her arms and fixing him with a steely gaze,
Jordan: Fine. Enlighten me, Brady.
Brady (Nervously): Okay, um...well, we heard from Marcia that it was you that was throwing my name out there.
Jordan (Rolls eyes): Is that it?
Brady: No! Of course not. There were a lot of reasons. One of them was that you searched through everyone's bags and it made us feel uncomfortable.
Jordan: You could've just told me that!
Brady: We did, Jordan! We told you we didn't want you to search people's bags, but you didn't listen. And you even searched Heather's bag! In front of me too.
Shaking her head stubbornly,
Jordan: Whatever, but why did you vote out Jalen? Those are all things about me, not Jalen.
Brady: We voted Jalen out over you because we needed you for puzzles, and I felt like he was playing a good under-the-radar game.
Jordan (Rolls eyes): Obviously I'm mad you voted Jalen out, but at least voting me out would have actually made sense. Voting Jalen out? That's just--it's idiotic! So I guess that means you're a traitor and an idiot now.
Brady: What? How?
Jordan (Scoffs): Now you're in real trouble, because you and Heather are going to be down 3-2 if I join Marcia and Millard to get rid of you.
Stunned by this, all Brady can utter is, 'w-why?'
Jordan: Because I trusted you and was voting with you! I was loyal to you and you screwed it all up.
As Jordan's confessional plays, we see her standing up and storming off away from Brady, back towards the center of camp as he looks on, looking disheartened. 'I'm sorry,' Brady tries one more time, receiving the middle finger in return. Looking as if he might cry,
Brady (Sighs): This sucks.
Following her back to camp at a much slower pace, Brady continues to trudge along for a good three seconds before the screen fades into the intro.
Day Ten[]
Kerja Tim Tribe[]
When the program returns, the focus of the camera is initially fixed onto the green Kerja Tim tribe as Tawanda and Frederick can vaguely be seen milling around in the background. The camera then cuts to Camari, who informs the two of them that she and Jo are going down to the beach.
Frederick: Have fun, kiddos!
Camari (Grins): "Kiddos"? Really?
Frederick: Hey, cut an old man some slack.
Jo: Never. Frederick, your new nickname is kiddo.
Frederick (Smirks): Now, now, we all know I'm not a kiddo in any way, I'm old as old can be.
Camari: Keep telling yourself that, kiddo.
Frederick gives them a playfull eyeroll, laughing it off as Jo and Camari high-five each other and head down to the beach. Watching them with an amused smile, Tawanda sits in the shelter in silence for a moment before she glances down at her bag. Absentmindedly ruffling her hand through it, she pauses as she realizes there's something unusual about it.
Tawanda: Wait a second...
Opening the envelope and pulling out the letter in a hurry, Tawanda murmurs the contents of the letter to herself, eyes widening further and further as she realizes what is going on.
Tawanda: Dear Tawanda,
This is Jalen. I don't really know what to say right now, but I got voted out tonight, Jordan and I voted for Marcia but Heather and Brady turned on me. I'm really heartbroken to have been voted out, but I'm proud of how I did out there. So I just want to send all my best wishes to you and tell you all the information I can think of!
Jordan's been searching through everyone's bags, she's grown really paranoid. Brady's a really nice guy, but he and Heather betrayed me, so I don't know anymore. And Marcia and Millard are a really tight duo.
I have faith that you'll do great out there, I know God's watching over you. Best of luck, Tawanda!
Sending you all my blessings,
Jalen
As Frederick watches her curiously, Tawanda pays him no mind, jaw dropped in shock, before she starts to get a tad bit emotional. Glancing to the side and spotting Frederick, Tawanda beckons him over, showing him the letter.
Tawanda (Upset): Jalen was voted out…
Tawanda: Can you believe it?
Feigning shock,
Frederick: No, I can't believe he was able to write a letter!
Tawanda (Frowns): I was talking about Jalen being voted out.
Frederick (Sheepish): Oh. No, I didn't expect that either.
Tawanda (Sighs): Well, it is what it is, we have to keep on moving. We have great footing right now, let's make the best of it.
Frederick: Right, right.
Frederick is shown giving Tawanda a comforting hug before the scene transitions to the water well, where Myrla and Esme are filling up their canteens together. Putting on the most saccharine smile possible,
Esme: How are you, darling? I don't believe we've had the opportunity to speak together yet this morning.
Myrla: I'm doing amazingly, thank you. And you?
Esme: I'm doing just splendidly, dear.
Myrla (Smirks): Oh, I can see that. You're...positively glowing today.
The two of them fall into silence as Myrla slowly fills up her canteen, then picks it up and takes a long, s-l-o-w sip out of it, as if attempting to break a record for "World's Slowest Drinker".
Myrla: So, Esme. What's it like being a hairdresser? I want all the juicy details.
Esme (Laughs): There's not really any juicy details, darling. A rather bland occupation, if I do say so myself.
Myrla: I'm sure explaining the process of doing hair would be juicy enough. (Giggles) I go to the salon often, but I don't pay quite enough attention.
Hesitating, Esme starts off with the basics of basics, which Myrla laughs off, telling her,
Myrla: Oh, rubbish, I already know all that! I want to learn your secrets and trades.
Esme: Your hair is already perfect, dearest.
Myrla: I know! I do love my hair, but I was talking about doing other people's hair. Maybe you could demonstrate sometime?
Esme: A true hairdresser never reveals her secrets.
Letting out a sharp laugh,
Myrla: That sounds like an excuse if I've ever heard one! Come now, you can't even tell a dear friend at least one trick?
For once seeming flustered,
Esme: I would...rather not.
Myrla: I'll teach you basic ballet steps if you show me your hair tricks!
Laughing it off, 'there's no need.'
Esme: We should be getting back anyway, dear.
Myrla (Nods): Right, of course. But you’re a very interesting lady, I’d love to get to know you more. You’re not boring as s*** like the rest of this tribe, (scoffs) all they talk about is...well, who even knows what they’re talking about! I don't even want to know.
Esme (Smirks): Ah, I would have to agree with you. I get along just fine with Frederick and Tawanda, dear, but you certainly bring the spice to the table. And you're absolutely amazing to be around, darling.
Myrla grins, liking this compliment, as she turns to head back to camp. Trailing behind her, Esme shakes her head, chuckling to herself.
The camera now focuses on Myrla, who smirks as she returns back to camp with her canteen. Setting it aside, she struts down to the beach, leaving Esme to chat with Frederick and Tawanda.
Esme: I have splendid news. Myrla is throwing herself at my feet by now, she’s a guaranteed number for us.
Tawanda: Great! If you’re sure she’s down...
Esme (Confident): I’m sure.
Out of nowhere, the scene changes to where Myrla is now bathing in the water with Camari, while Jo floats around nearby.
Myrla: I don’t trust that lady for a second.
Confused, Camari brushes her hair over her shoulders, ‘Esme?’ Nodding her head and pursing her lips, ‘mm-hm.’
Myrla: Think about it. Esme’s a little suspicious, don’t ya think?
Camari: What do you mean?
Myrla: For one, she claims she’s poor. I've met my fair share of wealthy snobs, her vocabulary's better than a damn socialite! She gives off the same vibe that they all do.
Camari: It’s a little strange...but I don’t think that’s proof enough to go pointing fingers.
Myrla: I travel the world, I’ve met all kinds of people. And an abundance of extremely wealthy people. It’s more than just a hunch, she acts the exact way they do.
Overhearing their conversation, Jo sits up in the water,
Jo: I agree with Squid Girl--I mean, Camari, I don’t think it’s proof enough.
Myrla: Tell me, do either of you know of the Vienna State Opera House?
Jo (Puzzled): Uh...no.
Camari: A what opera house?
Myrla: Hmm. Strange, isn't it? Esme knows about it, says she's heard great things about it. Now, there's always a chance she's just very into ballet, but I find it kind of suspicious.
Camari (Crosses arms): I still don't think that's proof.
Myrla: Well, how about this? I was just talking to Esme earlier, and I asked her about how life is as a hairstylist. She avoided the damn question! (Frowns) Now, I know we haven’t known each other very long, but one thing you must know about me is I hate when people act all sneaky and go hiding secrets from me! I’d rather them be upfront and honest, but Esme was clearly hiding something.
Camari (Skeptical): So that’s it? You asked, she avoided the question?
Myrla: Of course that’s not it! Trust me, I wouldn’t have ran around pointing fingers if I didn’t have proof. I started asking her about how to do hair, she straight-up told me no! Rude, right?
Camari just looks at her, unimpressed.
Myrla (Shrugs): I don’t like being told no, but I kept calm and tried to convince her to teach me a few hair tricks, she still avoided the topic. I asked her to demonstrate sometime, she avoided the topic again!
Camari and Jo trade a glance, looking a little more uneasy now. Catching this, Myrla smirks but continues,
Myrla: Now, for someone who supposedly does hair for a living, she seems very secretive about it--almost like she knows next to nothing about it! Sure, she told me the extreme basics, like how to brush your hair. (Scoffs) As if someone as gorgeous as me wouldn’t already know.
Jo: I’ve gotta say...that’s kind of strange. Don’t you think, Camari?
Camari: I don’t know...I trust her.
Myrla (Nods): That’s fine, but you gotta open your eyes to see what Esme’s doing. She’s putting on an act, I’m sure of it.
Camari: Alright, I’ll keep an eye out from now on.
Smiling, Myrla gives her a nod and sits back, relaxing in the water. As she does this, Camari looks to Jo, who mouths,
Jo: I don’t trust Esme.
Frowning, Camari crosses her arms, using nonverbal gestures to communicate her disagreements with him and Myrla.
As Camari’s confessional comes to a close, we see Myrla whispering furtively to Frederick and Tawanda, whose eyebrows are furrowed in concern. Telling them that she understands if they’d rather believe Esme, Myrla still stands her ground, saying that something just doesn’t seem right about Esme.
Tawanda: And how sure are you about this?
Myrla: I could say about 80%. Now, obviously there’s always a chance I’m wrong, but I just want to give you two a heads-up that something about that little miss perfect isn’t quite right.
As she says this, the camera focuses directly on Camari, who stands up and heads back to camp, leaving Jo in the water by himself.
Camari: Seriously, Jo, I don’t trust Myrla.
Jo: You don’t have to, Squid Girl. But just don’t do anything stupid.
Camari (Frowns): You don’t need to babysit me, I’m not going to do anything “stupid”.
Jo (Chuckles): Okay then.
The camera focuses on Camari one last time as she continues walking back to camp before the screen fades to black.
Persatuan Tribe[]
The next scene that appears on the screen takes place at the Persatuan tribe camp in the early morning. The camera focuses on the shelter, where Heather and Brady can be seen sitting around and chatting, and as the camera angle switches around, Marcia is revealed to be lying down in the shelter behind them. Meanwhile, Millard tends to the fire, whereas Jordan is nowhere to be seen.
Marcia: Heather, Brady, I'm going to need you two to pull me up.
Brady: Huh? Why?
Marcia: Because last night drained all the energy out of me. (Laughs) Please, just this once?
Heather (Giggles): Hell no, get up yourself!
Brady: I dunno, Heather, I find myself struggling to get up every once in a while too.
Marcia: See, Heather? Brady has the right idea.
Rolling her eyes playfully,
Heather: Brady's too nice. (Laughs) But if he's willing to help you out, I suppose I can too...
Heather and Brady turn and each grab hold of one of Marcia's arms, ready to heave her upright, just as Marcia exclaims, 'wait!'
Marcia: Maybe just a few more minutes of rest?
Heather (Exasperated): Marcia, Marcia, Marcia. I swear to God I'm gonna kill you.
Brady: Maybe not that far, Heather...
Heather: Brady, I was kidding.
'Oh.'
Heather (Laughs): But I'm pretty close to actually killing Marcia right now.
'Okay, okay!' Marcia sits up by herself, putting her hands in the air as a show of surrender. Unfortunately, this only gets a dirty look from Heather,
Heather: So much for not being able to get up, eh?
Marcia: You kids are too smart for your own good. (Laughs) Don't expose me.
Heather: Marcia, I think you exposed yourself.
Brady (Smiles): With Heather on that one.
Elbowing Brady playfully,
Marcia: Way to sell me out.
Brady and Heather let out amused chuckles, the latter giving her a playful eyeroll before the scene cuts to her confessional.
Glancing off into the distance, Heather's smile fades as she comments on Jordan's absence. 'She's been gone for so long,' she points out, causing Brady and Marcia to frown.
Marcia: She's probably idol hunting.
Heather: Yeah, definitely. (Rolls eyes) I don't know what she thinks she's doing right now. She's just blowing up her own spot.
Marcia: I don't trust her as a swing vote at all. Frankly, I don't even want to vote any of you two out. Jordan's the one causing trouble around here.
Upon hearing this, Brady begins nodding along eagerly, taking any chance he can get to not be the target. Following his lead,
Heather: Jordan's been overall pleasant so far, but after the Jalen vote-out all her paranoia just exploded into a ball of chaos and negative energy. And I thought searching through bags was the worst of it.
Marcia (Confused): Searching through bags?
Pausing,
Heather: Well, I'm not aligned with Jordan anymore, so I guess I can tell you. Jordan searched your bag and Millard's bag because you weren't scrambling after the swap, and then she went along and checked mine, even though Brady was sitting right there.
Marcia looks to Brady for confirmation, jaw dropped. 'Wow.'
Heather: "Wow" is right. So that's why we didn't trust her at all and turned on her, especially after hearing she was the one to throw Brady's name out there. (Shakes head) I think it was a mistake to vote out Jalen. Jordan might be good at puzzles, but she's a mess.
Brady (Guilty): I feel horrible, maybe we should've just voted Jordan out instead. Seeing her so miserable here makes me feel terrible.
Heather (Shrugs): Hey, I wanted Jalen to stay, but what's past is past. We can only control what's going on now, and I think all of us can agree that Jordan's just going crazy at this point.
Marcia (Nods): Definitely. I had no clue she was searching through my bags, I would've voted her out instead.
Following Marcia's confessional, she is shown sitting and thinking to herself for a moment before the scene transitions to a segregated part of the forest, where Jordan is very obviously searching for an idol.
Jordan: Come on, come on, come on, come on!
Frantically grabbing around at anything she can think of, Jordan searches for the idol with purpose, groaning as she realizes that she can't find it.
Jordan: Where even is this thing?
Unaware that Esme is currently holding the Persatuan hidden immunity idol at a separate campsite, Jordan continues to search and search and search to no avail. Out of breath, Jordan stops and stands with hands on her hips, glaring outwards into the rest of the trees, seemingly angry at everything for going completely wrong.
Jordan: This sucks.
She continues to glare, catching her breath, before she turns back and stumbles her way back to camp, frustration bubbling inside of her. After another moment, the screen fades to black.
Belabung Tribe[]
When the screen fades back in, the background music is slightly more intense, a contrast to the usual peaceful music played at the beginning of a tribe segment. The camera focuses on the flickering flames that are sitting in the firepit, separating Damian and Yasir, who are sitting on opposite sides of the fire. In the background, Connie can be seen sitting in the shelter and chatting with somebody, but it’s clear the focus of the scene isn’t on her as Yasir’s irritated facial expression is highlighted.
Yasir (To himself): Damian the superhero, tending to the fire, huh?
He shakes his head and rolls his eyes, then proceeding to mutter to himself moodily, as Damian gives him a sharp glance, having heard this.
Damian: Did you say something, Yasir?
Yasir (Rolls eyes): No. No, I didn’t.
Yasir: What makes you think I said something to you?
Confused by the hostile way the celestial cartographer is speaking to him, Damian raises an eyebrow at him.
Damian: I just thought I heard you say something. No big deal.
Yasir: Don’t “no big deal” me.
Crossing his arms and giving him a smile,
Damian: No big deal, really.
Yasir: You--you’re really f***ing petty, you know that?
Damian (Chuckles): Hey, hey, I didn’t mean to make this all into a big deal, sorry about that.
Yasir (Rolls eyes): Ha, ha. So funny.
Their bickering catches the attention of Connie, who glances over at them, drawing the attention of Stefan as well.
Connie: They really never stop, do they?
Stefan: Dude, Yas-Man needs to stop making everything into an argument.
Connie: Well...
Connie motions for Stefan to lower his voice, whispering to him,
Connie: I still think it should be Damian first.
Stefan: Bro, are you really still campaigning for him to go? He’s actually helpful at camp and isn’t a total jerk to everyone, dude, I don’t think it makes sense.
Connie: That’s the exact reason why he’s a threat, though. Yasir may be insufferable, but he’ll do anything to get Damian out. You and Victor are close, me and Ebony are close, we get Yasir as an automatic number by leading the charge against Damian. It’s the best possible solution.
Stefan: I dunno, Dorito, I don’t feel great about leaving that guy in the game. I mean, look at him!
The camera follows his gaze to where Yasir is storming off into the woods, seemingly fed up with Damian, who simply turns to Connie and Stefan and shrugs.
Damian: See what I mean? He's crazy.
Laughing, Connie nods politely, keeping the smile on her face as she watches Damian turn around and head off the other direction. Once she’s sure he’s out of sight,
Connie: I still think it needs to be him.
Stefan (Sighs): Sorry, man, I think we should keep him around.
Stefan: I just don’t think it makes sense, dude, Victor doesn’t either.
Raising her eyebrows in surprise,
Connie: I thought he said he was down?
Stefan (Shakes head): Nah, man, we’re hesitant. We see your point, but we both think it’s too early for a blindside.
Looking a tad bit miffed,
Connie: That’s fine, I guess. I just wish you would’ve told me the truth about how you felt. (Sighs) Regardless, I still think it’s the best move.
Connie: In the end, I'm not going to make the decision for us, and we'd have to lose an immunity challenge first. But I think you guys are turning a blind eye to Damian right now.
Stefan: Alright, dude, I can think about it if you really want me to.
Connie (Nods): I do.
Stefan lets out a sigh, seemingly frustrated, before the scene transitions to a later time as Stefan and Victor take a walk in the forest together. 'Let's stop here, man,' Stefan says, prompting Victor to stop walking, turning to him with a raised eyebrow.
Stefan: Dorito...I mean, Connie, she's still insisting we get rid of Damian.
Victor (Frowns): She's still pushing for it?
Stefan: Yeah, bro, I don't think she wants to do anything else.
Victor: Well that's extremely frustrating. How much do you trust her, anyway?
Taking a moment to pause and consider the question,
Stefan: A lot, dude, we have a strong bond. But sometimes she just does things that make me suspicious, it's like, super obvious she's a big player, man.
Victor: Well, you're by far my number out here right now, because I didn't really have anyone I was super close to on my old tribe, and I get along great with you. So I'm willing to go and do anything you need me to do.
Stefan (Grins): Great, dude. I already felt like I could count on you, but now I guess I got my confirmation. You can count on me too.
Victor: Perfect.
The two fist-bump each other, grinning, before they resume walking. The camera focuses on a satisfied-looking Victor for a moment before cutting to his confessional.
As the two continue to walk in companionable silence, Victor is shown glancing over at Stefan before he clears his throat and speaks,
Victor: You know, it really means a lot to me that we can just...you know, hang out and have a good time.
Confused as to where this is going, Stefan gives him a shrug and a smile,
Stefan: Of course, dude! You're a blast to be around.
Victor (Laughs): That's good to hear.
There's another pause, almost verging on awkwardness, before Victor continues,
Victor: I'm not super introverted or shy or anything, but being different from everyone here was a bit of a fear for me coming in. But I feel super comfortable around you and the rest of the tribe.
Stefan (Puzzled): Different? How, dude?
Victor: Oh, just...being Australian, being gay.
Realizing what this is about, Stefan gives him a smile, 'you don't have to worry about that 'round me.'
Stefan: You're you, I don't care if ya like guys or if you're from Australia, dude. You're a chill dude, that's what counts to me, anyway.
Victor (Grins): Thanks.
Stefan: No problem!
Following Stefan's confessional, he and Victor are shown chatting and walking together, clearly comfortable in each other's presence, before the screen fades to black.
Night Ten[]
Kerja Tim Tribe[]
It's now in the dead of night as only the sounds of nature and the Kerja Tim tribe members' snoring can be heard for a long moment. As the camera focuses on the shelter, it becomes apparent after a while that not everyone is asleep. As Jo, Frederick, Tawanda, and Camari sleep comfortably, Esme tosses in her sleep, a whisper away from waking up, and Myrla sits up, watching the others like a hawk.
Myrla (Whispering): There, there, little Ms. Perfect. Go to sleep...
Smirking, she watches Esme slowly starts to relax in her sleep before she abruptly stands up and makes her way over to where Esme is sleeping.
Myrla: Bitch better not wake up.
Carefully reaching over Esme to open her bag as quietly as possible, she jumps as Esme tosses in her sleep again, before rolling her eyes.
Myrla (Under her breath): Oh, come on, you just f***ing stopped tossing and now you're moving around again?
Waiting for Esme to stop moving, Myrla delicately pries open the bag and reaches her hand in, just as Esme lets out a soft groan. Practically fuming,
Myrla: If I have to smother this bitch so she doesn't wake up I will.
Pausing for another moment, Myrla decides to run her hand through the entirety of the bag, sick of all the waiting. She runs her hand through Esme’s scarf, where we had previously seen Esme hiding her idol. Suddenly, she freezes, her hand finding an unusual figure. Pulling her hand out,
Myrla: Holy f***, she actually has the idol!
Myrla is now shown lying down in the shelter, grinning in excitement, before the camera now focuses on the night sky. There is then a time-lapse and the night is shown transitioning into the break of dawn.
Day Eleven[]
Persatuan Tribe[]
Surprisingly, when the camera tilts back downwards, we are no longer in the Kerja Tim tribe camp but instead in the Persatuan camp, or rather the Persatuan beach, where Jordan is currently taking a walk by herself. There's no background music for a while as Jordan is simply shown walking and thinking to herself, before she pauses.
Jordan: Everyone's asleep...
We now see a montage of Jordan searching in different places throughout the entire camp area and in the forest, looking anywhere she can think of.
Jordan: Where is this thing?
Still unaware that Esme is the one holding the Persatuan idol, Jordan continues to search left and right, up and down, searching through the entire camp to find the idol.
Jordan: They really hid this well, huh?
The scene now transitions to the center of camp, where Heather and Marcia are shown up and about, while the two men sleep in. It's now morning, and it's clear that both Heather and Marcia have noticed Jordan's prolonged absence.
Heather: Could she be any more transparent?
Heather: Well, if you think we should go look for her...
Marcia (Shrugs): I don't know, what do you think?
Heather: If it's up to me, hell yeah. Let's do this.
Marcia: Well, if you're down, I'll do it.
The camera now follows Heather and Marcia as they make their way through different areas of camp, searching for Jordan. Jordan herself is still searching frantically for the idol, aware of the time that has passed but seemingly not caring.
Marcia: Jordan, where are you?
Hearing this, Jordan's eyes widen. The scene switches back to where Marcia and Heather are getting closer,
Heather: I swear, my patience is running thin.
The scene switches again. Jordan is now scrambling to pick up whatever she can from the floor. Back to Heather and Marcia:
Heather: This is bulls***.
Suddenly, the two of them pause, and as the camera follows their gazes, it's apparent they've spotted Jordan, whose hands are filled with an abundance of firewood and a coconut that she must've picked off the ground.
Marcia: Oh! ...Jordan.
Trying her best not to sound squirrely or flustered,
Jordan: Hey, you two! How're you doing this morning?
Marcia: We're doing fine, thank you.
Heather: Yep. We were wondering where you were.
Marcia shoots Heather a look, which doesn't go unnoticed by Jordan. Frowning,
Jordan: Well, clearly I was collecting things for the tribe.
She gestures to the load in her arm, not waiting for a response as she hurries to brush past them. Marcia gives her a confused smile while Heather doesn't bother.
Marcia: Thanks, Jordan.
Jordan: You're welcome.
And with that, she's on her way back to camp, hurrying to be out of the women's accusing gazes. Behind her, Heather gives Marcia a shrug. 'Might as well get back.'
Heather: She had the load in her arm to back her up, but I'm pretty sure you and I are both thinking the same thing.
Marcia (Nods): She was probably idol hunting.
Unaware of this conversation, Jordan speed-walks as fast as she can back to camp, heart racing. 'I can't believe I didn't get caught!'
Jordan: I was sure I was gonna be busted, but nope.
The camera focuses on Jordan as she returns back to camp, giving the cold shoulder to a now-awake Brady. The screen then fades to black.
Reward Challenge[]
When the show returns to air, we now see the reward challenge arena, although strangely there isn't much of a challenge setup involved. Regardless, intense music begins to play as the camera dramatically transitions to where Jeff is standing with a big grin on his face.
Jeff: Come on in, guys!
The music intensifies further as the three tribes are then shown entering the challenge area: Kerja Tim, Belabung, and trailing behind is Persatuan. As the other two tribes get situated on their mats, they notice the Persatuan tribe arriving and eagerly turn to see who was voted out.
Jeff: Kerja Tim, Belabung, getting your first look at the new Persatuan tribe...Jalen voted out at the last Tribal Council.
There are looks of surprise that spread through some of the castaways, although most of them don't seem particularly surprised. The camera focuses on Esme, who frowns, unhappy with this result, before cutting to Tawanda and Frederick, who are obviously upset but not surprised.
Jeff: You guys ready to get to today's reward challenge?
The castaways all let out loud and excited cheers, eager to see what is awaiting them. With a grin, Jeff explains their reward challenge, Shoulder the Load, receiving a few groans. Jeff then reveals that their reward will be comfort items, evoking a loud cheer from Stefan.
Jeff: Worth playing for?
It's clear by their reactions that the castaways agree it's worth playing for, nodding and grinning as Jeff gives them time to strategize. After a moment, there's a timeskip, and we see the members who will be carrying weights for their tribe.
Jeff: For Persatuan, we have Brady and Heather carrying weights, for Kerja Tim, it's Jo and Camari. For Belabung, it's Damian and Ebony.
After a few more moments, Jeff allows the challenge to get started.
- Myrla immediately places the first weight onto Damian, giving him a very flirtatious smile as she does so.
Damian (Chuckles): Good to know you haven't changed a bit.
- Yasir rolls his eyes dramatically and places the first weight on Brady.
Jordan: Am I allowed to place it on Brady too?
- This causes Brady to frown as Jordan laughs it off, confusing the other tribes. She then places the weight on Ebony.
- Next round, Ebony receives 40 more pounds from the other tribes, while Brady reaches 40 as well.
- Ebony then reaches 80 as they pile on her, while Brady reaches 60.
- Ebony carries 100 before she suddenly drops, causing Esme to place the next weight onto Brady, as does Connie.
- Myrla places the next round's weight on Damian, who is now at 40, causing Marcia to follow suit, reaching 60.
Yasir: You f***ing idiots, Jo and Camari don't even have a single weight!
- Yasir places the weight on Camari. The others frown at his condescending tone but heed his advice, as next round Belabung places their weight on Camari again, Jordan following suit.
- Camari is at 60, Damian is at 60 as well, Brady is visibly starting to struggle with 100 pounds.
- Camari continues to receive weight, putting her at 100, while her tribe gives the next weight to Brady, who immediately drops.
- Damian receives both of the next round's weights, putting him at 100, while Camari now has 120 thanks to Yasir.
- Stefan places another weight on Camari, apologizing, but Camari holds strong even at 140. Jordan places another on Camari, causing her to drop. Myrla places another on Damian, leaving him at 120.
- Yasir goes for Jo, deeming him a weak link due to his leg. He says this out-loud, however, causing Jo to frown, hurt. Completely ignoring this, Yasir watches smugly as the other tribe follows suit. Tawanda puts a weight on Heather.
- Heather has 20, Jo has 40, and Damian has 120. Next round, Heather finds herself with 60, Jo has 60, and Damian has 120 still.
- Both tribes pile on Damian while Belabung places weights on Jo. After a few more timeskips, Jo has 120 and Damian has 240. By now, Damian is clearly struggling to hold, starting to shake. Meanwhile, Heather stands by, seemingly invisible to the other tribes.
Heather: How weak do these other tribes think I am?
- Jo now has 140 as Damian drops at 260. Persatuan adds another to Jo, making it 60 vs. 160.
- After very many timeskips, Jo has 200 and is visibly in trouble, while Heather stands emotionless with 100. Jo reaches 220 as Heather stays very solid with 120. Suddenly, Jo drops.
Jeff: HEATHER WINS REWARD FOR HER TRIBE!
As Heather sets her weights down casually, her tribe bursts into celebration, crowding around her and thanking her. Throwing a fit over their loss, Yasir clearly is upset with his tribe for ignoring Heather, although Damian reminds him,
Damian: You ignored her too!
On the flip-side, although the Kerja Tim tribe seems disappointed with their loss, they seem satisfied with a second place finish, with Jo receiving plenty of praise from his tribe. After a moment, there is a timeskip and the tribes are shown standing in front of Jeff.
Jeff: Persatuan, great job. You've won comfort items in the form of pillows, blankets, and a hammock, which will all be waiting for you back at camp. Head on out and enjoy your reward.
Letting out a cheer, Marcia leads her tribe out of the challenge area. Before they disappear, Brady can be heard saying, 'wow, Heather!'
Jeff: Kerja Tim, it was a close race, but at least you'll have pillows back at camp. Grab your stuff, head on out.
Receiving nods in return, Jeff watches as the Kerja Tim tribe makes their way out of the challenge area, leaving the disappointed Belabung tribe alone with Jeff.
Jeff: Belabung, you gave it your all, but ultimately it wasn't enough. Grab your stuff, and head on out. I'll see you at the next immunity challenge.
Heads hung low, the Belabung tribe begins to make their way out of the challenge area, as Yasir fumes, grumbling under his breath. Behind him, Victor rolls his eyes before the screen fades to black.
Persatuan Tribe[]
Following the commercial break, the show returns to the Persatuan tribe camp, upbeat and cheerful music playing to match the expressions and demeanors of the Persatuan tribe members themselves. Immediately after we see all five of them pile into camp, they burst into praise for Heather.
Brady: Great job, Heather! I didn't even carry that much.
Marcia: Seriously. Thank you so much.
Jordan: I know you're the massage therapist here, but after carrying all that I'll happily give you a free massage.
Heather (Laughs): What, so you're saying you'd charge me if I didn't win?
Jordan: ...I don't feel the need to answer that.
The tribe shares a good-natured laugh before returning to throwing praise in her direction. 'Thank you so much,' Marcia repeats as they spot their comfort items waiting for them. Grinning, Heather doesn't respond but simply shrugs, picking up one of the pillows and giving it a feel.
Following Heather's confessional, a montage of the Persatuan tribe celebrating their win and getting their comfort items set up is shown, one highlight being Brady testing out the hammock only for it to fall.
Brady: Ouch! That was definitely a bad decision.
Heather (Chuckles; subtitled): What can I say? Bad decisions have consequences.
There is then a change of scenes and Marcia is shown reclining in the apparently safe hammock as Heather watches over the rice and Brady wraps himself up in one of the blankets. After a comfortable moment of silence,
Marcia: When's Jordan going to come back with our canteens?
Heather: I have absolutely no idea. I'm getting thirsty.
After a short moment of pause,
Marcia: What are the chances of her looking for an idol right now?
Heather: Well...I'd say 60%.
The scene then abruptly cuts to the middle of the forest, proving Marcia and Heather's suspicions to be correct as Jordan searches endlessly for the idol, holding the still empty canteens in her hand.
Jordan: At this point, I'm beginning to think someone else has it...
We now return to the center of camp, where Heather, Brady, and Marcia are still waiting. After a moment of complete silence, Brady sits up,
Brady: Where even is she?
Heather (Rolls eyes): Not again. I guess we were right about her going idol hunting.
As if summoned, Jordan seemingly bursts from out of the trees, wearing a not-so-friendly scowl as she puts her hands on her hips. After a moment of shocked silence, 'oh, hey!'
Marcia: Did you get the canteens filled?
Simply shrugging, Jordan sets the still-empty canteens down. 'No.'
Heather: What the f***? Why didn't you fill them up?
Jordan (Frowns): I had more important things to do. Now, listen up, you guys.
Crossing her arms, Heather raises an eyebrow, 'well?'
Jordan: I've been searching for that idol for God knows how long, and I still haven't caught a whiff of it. I could just be the worst idol searcher in Survivor's history, or someone else in this camp has it right now.
A gong sounds as the other three look to each other nervously, not liking what she's getting at. Standing firm,
Jordan: Just thought everyone would like to know, because as I learned recently, the people you trust the most are also the most likely to keep important secrets from you.
Heather (Unimpressed): ...What was the point of this announcement?
Fixing her with a cold gaze,
Jordan: Watch your back. I wouldn't risk being so bold if I were you and Brady right now.
Following Jordan's confessional, we see Heather and Brady exchange alarmed eye contact before the scene transitions again and Marcia is shown taking a walk with Jordan, the adrenaline seemingly having faded.
Jordan: Look, Marcia, I know I might not've painted the best picture of myself out here…
'Mm-hm,' Marcia murmurs, her facial expression screaming: that's an understatement.
Jordan: But I'm serious about that. And if Brady has the idol, he could send not only me home, but you too.
Marcia (Crosses arms): Why'd you have to make it a big announcement then?
Jordan: It was...what I felt I had to do.
Nodding very slowly, 'mm-hm.'
Jordan: But enough about that. Marcia, I know I voted for you last round, but I hope you know you can trust me to keep you safe. I think we share the same goal right now anyway.
Marcia (Nods): Right.
Jordan: Especially after today, I think it's clear Brady has to go before Heather.
Marcia: Yeah, I agree.
The two women are shown high-fiving, seemingly coming to an agreement, before the scene switches over to the next tribe.
Kerja Tim Tribe[]
Joyous and celebrative music plays as the green Kerja Tim tribe flag comes onto the screen, the shot interrupted by Frederick passing by with a grin. The camera then cuts over to where (after a probable timeskip) the tribe members are now gathered around their reward, grinning with excitement. 'It's not much, but I'll take it!' Camari shrugs.
Frederick: Same. This old man'll do anything to keep his back from breaking out here.
Tawanda: Do you always mention your age, kiddo?
Gasping in mock distress,
Frederick: Oh no, Tawanda, not you too! Whatever will I do?
Tawanda (Laughs): Nothing. Which is why we'll keep calling you kiddo.
Frederick (Crosses arms): Now that's just unfair. That’s taking advantage of me.
Tawanda: Now that sounds like a you-problem.
Grabbing one of the pillows, Jo gives a wide smile to Camari, the two of them sitting down in the shelter together.
Jo: Good job, fellow weight-bearer.
Camari: Ha, good job to you too. (Smiles) You did pretty great out there.
Jo: Yeah...(sighs) I did, didn't I?
Looking immensely confused, Camari purses her lips for a moment before pointing out,
Camari: That was a very depressing "I did, didn't I".
Giving a wry chuckle, 'yes, I suppose it was.' Scratching at his arm mindlessly, Jo stares out into the distance for a moment, thinking to himself.
As Jo's confessional plays, he is shown pouring his heart out to a concerned-looking Camari. 'Look, I'm not insecure about this stuff usually,' he makes sure to inform her,
Jo: But the demeaning way the Yasir guy said it kind of brought me back to when I was a...a little less confident about this leg of mine.
Camari: I understand that completely. Post-partum was pretty hard for me too--I know it's not the same, but when you feel miserable, you just feel kind of miserable and it's hard to escape.
Jo: Well, that's for sure.
Camari: And besides, I think we've all gathered by now that Mr. Yasir is an absolute assh***, even without being on his tribe. (Scoffs) I'm glad for that, too, he just radiates bad energy.
Jo (Nods): He'd better hope he doesn't land on the same tribe as me.
Camari (Laughs): That's the spirit right there.
There's a moment of pause, in which Myrla can be heard gushing over Esme's scarf,
Myrla: Your scarf has got to be expensive. It's so gorgeous!
Esme (Smiles): Yes, it was rather expensive--(freezes momentarily) for me, at least. Probably not expensive to you, darling.
The camera cuts back to Jo and Camari's conversation as the two take no notice of them,
Jo: But, uh, yeah. Thanks. For, you know, listening.
Camari: Anytime! I've been told I'm a good listener.
Following Camari's confessional, the scene now pans over to the side, continuing the snippet of conversation between Esme and Myrla that we had seen earlier. Although we had seen earlier that Camari and Jo weren't paying attention to this conversation, it's clear that Tawanda and Frederick are secretly listening.
Myrla: Oh, I doubt it. What brand is it, can I see?
Esme: I wouldn't know, darling.
Myrla: Yes, but if you showed me I'm sure I could find out. Maybe there's a logo? Or maybe I could recognize the design.
Shaking her head with a slight hint of nervousness, this doesn't go unnoticed by Tawanda.
Esme: No, no, I'd rather not, dear. (Smiles) Now, who wants to take a walk with me? I'm feeling a tad bit restless.
Hearing this from her spot in the shelter, Camari raises her hand,
Camari: Sure!
The rest of the tribe waits politely as they silently watch Esme and Camari get up and leave to go on a walk together. Once the two are completely out of sight,
Frederick: I didn't like that.
Tawanda (Shakes head): Me neither. Myrla, I think you might be right about that, as hard as it is to say. She definitely was avoiding your questions about wealth.
Myrla (Smirks): Glad you finally see. And...I have something else to say too.
By now, Jo has started to pay attention to the conversation, since his old conversation partner Camari had just gone off, leaving him with no distractions.
Jo: Is this about Esme?
'Smart and handsome, huh?' Myrla muses, confirming his suspicions in a roundabout way, but before she can continue,
Jo: Be careful when it comes to talking about that. Camari really likes Esme, I think if you talk about it enough she'd tell Esme everything.
Pursing her lips, looking displeased,
Myrla: Hm. I'll take note of that. (Shrugs) That just means you gotta promise not to tell her what I'm telling you right now. Goes for you too, Tawanda. And you, Frederick.
Receiving nods in return, Myrla continues,
Myrla: I searched in Esme's bag last night.
Seeing the immediate reactions to that sentence, Myrla makes a quick save,
Myrla (Making up a lie): Because Esme had hinted at having an idol in the past. She was all (mocking) "darling, I have a little trick up my sleeve". I'm not some ignoramus, I only searched 'cause she hinted at it.
The other three are shown nodding, seemingly accepting this made-up tidbit,
Myrla: And in her scarf she was hiding that damn idol.
Immediately, jaws drops and eyes widen. 'Oh wow,' Tawanda whispers, covering her mouth in shock, while Frederick simply raises his eyebrows in surprise.
Myrla: Now, I don't know the next night her scarf'll be available for searching, but unless she changes up her hiding spot or decides to sleep with her scarf on, you can probably search and see for yourself.
Tawanda (Shocked): So that's why she fidgets with her scarf...
As Frederick and Jo continue to stay in the shocked silence, Tawanda glances at Myrla and gives her a friendly smile.
Tawanda: Thank you so much for telling us that, Myrla.
Myrla (Smiles): You're welcome, beautiful. (Shakes head) It was about damn time she got exposed--I always knew she was hiding something.
Still reeling from shock, 'wow!'
Frederick: Now that's something you don't hear every day.
Tawanda: Probably because people don't find idols every day, kiddo.
Frederick (Chuckles): Next thing I know, Myrla's gonna start calling me that.
Myrla: Kiddo? (Laughs) Well, I personally believe I'd be justified, since I'm older than you.
Tawanda: You don't look much older than him.
Frederick: Hey!
Tawanda (Shrugs; smirks): Sorry, kiddo.
Jo: Kiddo, I think Tawanda's right.
Frederick (Playfully): Agh, you can't team up on me like that!
After a subtle transition of scenes, Frederick and Tawanda are now sitting near the firepit, Tawanda in particular getting the rice cooked while Frederick watches on. A moment passes before,
Frederick: I don't trust Myrla all that much.
A shot of the ballerina smiling and chatting with Jo comes onto the screen as Frederick continues to talk,
Frederick (Subtitled): Look, I feel like she’s gonna screw us over at some point.
The camera then focuses on Tawanda’s confused expression,
Tawanda: I trust her.
Frederick (Nods): Sure, but you have to remember that if she’s doing the same thing Jordan was, maybe she’s not exactly trustworthy.
Tawanda: But then again, Jordan was right about Esme all along--she had the right idea, she just always has a bad way of going on about it.
‘I agree,’ Frederick nods,
Frederick: But still, be careful. Anything could send one of us home.
Tawanda nods, taking this advice, as the shot of Jo and Myrla talking comes onto the screen again,
Tawanda (Subtitled): I don’t know, I feel like if we let Myrla work her magic, things’ll be alright in the end.
Jo is shown laughing as Myrla gives him a playful shove, the two seemingly getting along perfectly well. Shaking his head, Frederick frowns,
Frederick: If you trust her, then I’ll put my trust in her too.
The two of them are then shown nodding at each other, silently respecting each other’s opinions, before the scene transitions to where Esme and Camari are on their walk. While Esme wears the smallest of smiles, Camari is laughing, comfortable in her presence.
Camari: Seriously? That’s hilarious.
Esme: The poor dear looked absolutely dreadful, but that’s what she insisted I do with her hair.
Camari: I dunno, some hairstylists give some pretty wack suggestions on hairstyles, (chuckles) but after hearing that story I might just listen to them next time. You could do my hair after the show sometime!
Esme: Oh, no, I couldn’t. I’m no better--probably worse than the hairstylists where you’re from.
Camari (Shrugs): Fair.
Slowing down her pace, Camari clears her throat, prompting Esme to slow her walking speed as well. Looking at her expectantly, ‘well?’
Camari: I should tell you what’s been going on behind your back.
Intrigued, Esme simply raises an eyebrow.
Camari: Myrla has been non-stop crap-talking about you lately.
Unable to hide her surprise, ‘oh?’
Camari: Yeah. She’s been telling everyone that you’re lying about your occupation and that you’re super rich or whatever, and that she doesn’t trust you at all. She’s probably been spreading even more crap, she’s said it to everyone on this tribe.
Jaw dropping, Esme stares at her incredulously, unable to believe what she’s hearing. Shutting her mouth closed after a long moment, ‘wow.’
Shaking her head, still in shock, Esme puts on her most innocent facial expression and turns to Camari,
Esme: Thank you so much for informing me, darling. I really can't thank you enough.
Camari (Smiles): My pleasure.
'Mm-hm,' Esme murmurs under her breath, the camera continuing to focus on her growing smirk as the scene starts to fade.
Belabung Tribe[]
The next scene takes place at the Belabung tribe campsite, where the majority of the tribe members sit around, the mood considerably damper than the Kerja Tim tribe’s lighter demeanor. It soon becomes apparent that Damian and Victor are absent from this scene, the camera now cutting to the water well, where they can be found chatting as they fill up their canteens together. Shaking his head,
Damian: It wasn’t exactly a nightmare, but it was pretty close.
Victor: Living with Yasir all that time sure sounds like a nightmare to me.
Damian (Nods): Yeah, but I try to look at the bright side of things when I can.
Victor (Smiles): Good philosophy.
Closing the lid of his canteen, Victor gives Damian a smile before they turn to head back together. Now back at camp, the camera focuses on Connie as she absentmindedly tends to the fire. Sitting across from her,
Stefan: Not the most exciting day, huh, Dorito?
Connie: Oh, for sure. But I’m sure things’ll get exciting soon enough.
The scene then cuts back to Victor and Damian’s walk back to camp, exchanging words and laughs for a moment before the camera focuses on Victor’s face, full of uncertainty.
Pausing momentarily, Victor tentatively brings up the topic of Tribal Council, prompting Damian to give him a slow nod. ‘Look, I’ll be honest with you,’
Victor: Yasir has to go. He and I don’t get along particularly well, there’s absolutely no way he’d really be loyal to anyone.
Damian: Mm-hm. Exactly.
Victor: I’m pretty sure Stefan would be down, Ebony too.
Smiling, ‘great.’ Not finished, Victor shakes his head, indicating he has more to say.
Victor: Connie thinks you’re a big threat though.
Pausing in his tracks, Damian hesitates for a moment. ‘Connie?’
Victor: Yeah. Don’t tell anyone I said this--
Damian: Obviously not, I won’t tell.
Victor (Relieved): Good. But Connie really wants you gone before Yasir, which doesn’t quite make sense to me. And Stefan really trusts her, so it might be hard to get them on board.
Looking displeased, Damian shakes his head, ‘that doesn’t make sense to me.’ Shrugging, Victor says nothing.
Damian: Well, now I know to watch my back.
Although there is nobody around, Damian lowers his voice further, not wanting to take any chances at all.
Damian: Connie has an idol clue.
Shocked by this abrupt revelation, Victor’s walking comes to a halt. Jaw dropped and eyes wide, ‘what? Really?’ Nodding,
Damian: Really. The first day, we chose leaders, right? I chose the toolkit for my tribe, there was a bag of extra rice, and there was a tarp. I don’t know what Connie told her tribe, but she took an idol clue.
Victor: What the f***? Seriously?
Damian: Yeah, and I don’t know if she’s a good idol searcher, but chances are she probably found it.
Mouth hanging wide open, Victor simply stares at him in shock before throwing his head back and groaning. ‘Oh my God.’
The scene now transitions to later in the day, as Connie is shown getting up and leaving her spot at the firepit. Lying in the shelter next to Stefan,
Victor: Dude, you won’t believe what I just found out from Damian.
Stefan (Intrigued): What’d he tell you?
Victor: Okay, on day one, you know how we elected leaders?
Stefan: Yeah, bro, Connie was our leader.
Victor: And what’d she bring back for you?
Stefan (Shrugs): Nothing, dude, she lost the challenge between the leaders so we didn’t get anything.
Victor (Eyes wide): That’s what she told you?
Confused, ‘yeah, man.’
Victor: That’s not what happened. You could probably go ask Ebony too, that’s not what happened.
Stefan (Puzzled): Dude, what happened then?
Victor: The four of them had to choose between a toolkit, a bag of rice, a tarp, and an idol clue. Connie chose the idol clue. If she hasn’t told you anything about that yet, I really think you can’t trust her.
Stefan (Shocked): What the f***, dude?
Stefan: That’s f***ing insane, man.
Victor (Nods): I know, tell me about it.
Stefan: Thanks for, like, telling me, bro. I can’t believe I really fell for that.
Giving him a big smile, ‘no problem.’ The two of them are then shown fist bumping before the screen fades into a commercial break.
Day Twelve[]
Immunity Challenge[]
Following the commercial break, loud and grandiose music plays as the immunity challenge setup now comes onto the screen, the anticipation building as the camera frantically pans around the area, finally landing on a grinning Jeff.
Jeff: Come on in, guys!
On cue, the three tribes are then shown walking in one by one, holding their respective tribe flags and settling onto their respective tribe mats. Tawanda lets out a nervous breath as Jeff continues,
Jeff: First things first, Kerja Tim, Belabung, I need to take back immunity.
'Aw, come on,' Damian grins, causing Yasir to roll his eyes, glaring as Damian takes his time in handing the statue over. 'Hurry the hell up,' he mutters. Camari wastes no time in handing it over, giving it a kiss goodbye.
Jeff: Once again, immunity is back up for grabs.
Jeff then goes on to explain their immunity challenge, Dishwalla, causing Yasir to let out a loud groan. He mentions that the last team to finish will be sent to Tribal Council where they will then vote off one of their members, the camera focusing on a slightly nervous-looking Connie.
Jeff: I'll give you a minute to strategize, then we'll get started.
There is then a timeskip before the three teams are shown in position.
Jeff: For immunity...Survivors ready? GO!
- The three tribes waste no time in maneuvering their way through the course and getting their water filled. Persatuan lags behind as the other two tribes head back.
- Damian's taller height creates problems for his tribe as he has to squat slightly, causing Myrla from the other tribe to get distracted and drop some of her tribe's water.
- Persatuan visibly struggles with their water, trying their best to carry it without dropping it, but Millard in particular has trouble pulling his weight, dropping some water as Yasir drops some of his tribe's water.
- Belabung arrives first, but doesn't have enough water to pass through, causing Damian to groan. He decides to take off his shirt, causing Myrla to drop a bunch of water.
Camari: Seriously?! We were so close!
Myrla (Eyes wide): But those abs!
- Groaning, Camari leads the Kerja Tim tribe back for more water as Belabung gets more water and starts heading back. Millard almost drops a bunch of water, but Heather makes a last-minute save. Thankfully, they have enough to move on to the puzzle.
Jordan: Thanks, Heather!
- Jordan wastes no time in getting started on the puzzle while Yasir drops some more water, instead blaming it on Stefan. This lack of teamwork allows Kerja Tim to pass by them, although Myrla makes sure to compliment Damian's abs.
Victor: Damian, distract her!
- Damian makes sure to flex his muscles, and sure enough Myrla slows just a bit, irritating Camari. The two tribes arrive at nearly the same time and are both able to move to the puzzle.
- Yasir speeds through the puzzle, as does Jordan, while Esme does her best for Kerja Tim. Initially it seems like Esme is falling behind the others, but suddenly Belabung realizes they have it all wrong.
Yasir (Furious): F*** this! This is f***ing stupid!
- Victor rolls his eyes as Persatuan continues to get momentum built, allowing Jordan to place in her final piece, calling over for Jeff to check.
Jeff: PERSATUAN WINS IMMUNITY! We're looking for one more!
- As Persatuan celebrates, it becomes a close race between the other two for second place. Eventually, one of them is able to finish...
- And Yasir places the last puzzle piece in, calling over Jeff just as Esme places in one of her final pieces.
Jeff: BELABUNG WINS IMMUNITY, SENDING KERJA TIM TO TRIBAL COUNCIL!
Yasir lets out a triumphant yell, prompting Jo and Camari to both frown as Yasir continues his over-the-top celebration. 'Good job!' Myrla congratulates Damian, raising the eyebrows of Camari. 'Don't worry,' Frederick reassures Tawanda, who looks immensely upset over their narrow loss. There is then a timeskip,
Jeff: Persatuan, you may have had a rough start, but you won immunity fair and square! Come and get your immunity.
Grinning, Brady goes to retrieve the immunity statue as Jeff turns to a politely clapping Belabung tribe.
Jeff: Belabung, you're also safe tonight. Immunity is yours, enjoy the night off.
Connie retrieves the immunity statue as a dejected looking Kerja Tim claps along politely. The two tribes make their leave as Jeff turns to the green tribe,
Jeff: Kerja Tim, alas I cannot say the same for you. Tribal council tonight, where one of you will become the fourth person voted out of the game. You do not want it to be you, I'll give you the afternoon to think on who it's gonna be. Grab your stuff, head back to camp. I'll see you tonight at Tribal.
Looking upset, Camari picks up the tribe flag and trudges her way out of the challenge area, followed by Jo, Tawanda, Frederick, Myrla, and Esme. The camera focuses on Myrla for a moment before the screen fades to black.
Pre-Tribal[]
The screen fades back in from the commercial break as the six downcast-looking Kerja Tim tribe members can be seen filing into camp, setting down their stuff and all letting out a collective sigh of exhaustion. Nobody wants to speak after their challenge loss, the silence stretching out for moments as Tawanda turns to Frederick,
Tawanda: I really don't like this.
Frederick: Me neither.
Tawanda: It's our first Tribal, I'm nervous to lose someone.
Following Tawanda's confessional, the other four members have cleared the camp, and the only two castaways in sight are Frederick and Tawanda herself. Letting out another drawn-out sigh,
Tawanda: So, Esme tonight?
Frederick (Nods): I want Myrla gone first, but I'll do whatever you do.
Tawanda: Okay, good. I'll tell Myrla and Jo.
Frederick (Smiles): Alright, tell me what they say.
The scene now transitions to a separate clearing in camp, where Esme and Jo are currently talking a walk together. Wrapping her scarf tight around herself, Esme brushes her hair away from her face as Jo talks.
Jo: I don't know what you're thinking tonight, where's your head at?
Esme: Myrla. Myrla simply must go.
Eyebrows raising in surprise, the camera focuses on Jo's shocked expression. As Esme continues to talk, Frederick is visible in the background, approaching the two of them as they discuss.
Esme: Camari told me that Myrla is spreading all sorts of rumors. It's a falsification, darling, I can assure you that. (Pauses, smiles) Hello there, Frederick!
Whirling around, Jo spots Frederick and gives him a big and friendly smile. 'Hey kiddo!'
Jo: We were just talking about the vote.
Esme: Yes, I presume Myrla spread lies about me to you?
Shocked into silence, Frederick simply stares at her in pure surprise before he manages to work out, 'uh...yes?'
Esme (Frowns): I knew it. (Crosses arms) I swear to you, darling, whatever she spread about me simply isn't true.
Not looking completely convinced, Frederick and Jo trade a skeptical look, but Esme doesn't notice this as she continues.
Esme: Myrla simply has to go. She might have cost us the challenge today with all of her obsessing over Damian--it's clear as day to me that the two are aligned! She told me herself that she has Damian wrapped around her finger.
Jo (Frowns): That doesn't sound too good.
Esme: It doesn't. Add to the fact that she's stirring the pot already.
Frederick and Jo nod, taking this in, as Esme immediately begins fiddling with her scarf. The camera zooms in on the scarf, where the idol is only partially visible. However, this doesn't stop Frederick from spotting it, mouth opening wide before shutting it closed.
Esme: So I hope you'd all consider getting rid of Myrla once and for all tonight.
Receiving silent nods from Frederick and Jo, Esme studies them curiously for a moment before seemingly shrugging it off, a look of relaxation coming onto her face. 'Good, then we're set.'
Esme is then shown walking off, the conversation seemingly finished, as Frederick and Jo stand in silence together. Once Esme is out of range, Frederick immediately turns on Jo,
Frederick: Who told her?
Jo: I didn't...
Frederick: Well, it definitely wasn't Myrla or Tawanda.
Looking immensely frustrated,
Jo: So...it was Camari.
Burying his face in his hands in agitation, 'I can't believe it!'
Jo (Groans): Why would she tell her? I told her not to tell her!
Frederick: Clearly she and Esme are close...
Jo: Yeah, tell me about it. I thought I could trust her.
Frederick (Curious): Do you still trust her?
Jo pauses, staring at Frederick blankly, before he finally gives him an answer:
Jo: Of course I do.
Eyebrows furrowing, 'really?'
Jo: Yeah. Camari might've screwed it all up, but in the end we still have an existing bond. It's still gotta be Esme or Myrla tonight, maybe we could split between them?
Frederick: Oh. I understand that. Yeah, we could probably do that.
The background music returns, now more intense as we see Frederick approaching Tawanda and telling her the news. Eyes widening, Tawanda does a double take before realizing that Frederick is completely serious.
Tawanda: So you want her out?
Frederick (Nods): Yeah.
Tawanda: You know Jo would never agree...
The scene now shifts to where Jo is confronting Camari down at the beach. Looking at body language, it's clear that neither are very happy with each other at the present moment.
Camari: I'm not an idiot!
Jo: Then why did you spill everything to Esme?
Camari: Because I trust her! Myrla's done nothing to make me trust her, Esme and I have a bond! Plus, do you really think taking out Esme is the best idea? Really?
Crossing his arms, it's clear Jo doesn't want to listen to Camari's reasoning. Seeing this, Camari only becomes more annoyed.
Speaking slowly as if talking to a child,
Jo: Listen, voting out Esme when she has an idol is our best bet. I--
Camari: An idol? What?
Putting his hand over his mouth, Jo instantly looks as if he regrets spilling the secret, which causes Camari to roll her eyes.
Camari: You're such a hypocrite. I tell a secret to Esme, I'm a horrible person. You keep a secret from me, your closest ally on this tribe, and then end up spilling it to me anyway. (Throws hands in the air) You're no different at all!
Jo: My mistake isn't going to ruin our games!
Voice rising as well,
Camari: And mine isn't either! If anything I'm helping us.
Jo (Scoffs): By telling Esme so she can play her idol?
Camari: No, you--just stop talking for a moment! Please. (Sighs) Do you really trust Frederick and Tawanda that much? Myrla has them wrapped around her finger, once Esme goes, it's us on the bottom! More specifically me on the bottom. Esme may have been on the same tribe as Frederick and Tawanda, sure, but she's a better bet than Myrla!
Falling into silence, Jo frowns at her, not wanting to take her points but simultaneously realizing what she means.
Camari: Face it, Esme going is what they want, not what we want! She has an idol? Cool. Have her play it. But it's gotta be Myrla going tonight, no other option!
Camari: Look, I don't know what you want tonight, but it has to be Myrla. The two of us plus Esme is three, we just need one more.
Jo: We need to split between them. 3 votes Esme, 3 votes Myrla. And then we vote out Esme on the revote if she doesn't play the idol.
Camari (Frowns): Did you not listen to anything I just said?
Jo: I can ask you the same thing! You told Esme what Myrla said even though I warned you.
Camari: Jo, grow up. (Scoffs) I get it, that was bad on my part, and I'm sorry. But we have a much better chance with Esme if we save her!
Jo: And how would we even get the numbers for that?
Camari (Rolls eyes): You said Esme has an idol, right? Have her play it, and we'll be on top of the tribe. Please, just trust me on this.
Jo (Hesitant): I guess...
Following Jo's confessional, he and Camari are shown discussing their plan before the camera cuts back to Tawanda and Frederick, who are still watching the two talking on the beach.
Tawanda: You don't think it'll work?
Frederick: Not without Jo. But here's the thing: Jo wants to split 3-3 between Myrla and Esme.
Tawanda: Esme's gonna play her idol then! And Myrla will go home.
Frederick: Not if you, me, and Myrla switch it up and pile our votes on Camari. We get Esme to play her idol, that's an idol wasted, Camari's gone, boom boom, two birds with one stone.
Tawanda: So Camari? No questions?
Frederick (Nods): I think it's the safest bet.
The scene now transitions to the shelter, where all of the Kerja Tim tribe members are meeting, or so it seems at first, before Myrla mentions,
Myrla: Now that we've got Esme all on her lonesome...
The camera cuts to Esme, who is making her way back to camp as she fiddles with her scarf. Spotting her idol, clearly visible, Esme gasps and tugs her scarf over it to hide it more securely.
Esme: That was close.
We now see Camari playing with her hair, not caring about the conversation, as Myrla insists that Esme go home.
Myrla: I think we can all agree, as long as nobody tells her what's going on, we can catch her by surprise.
After her confessional concludes, the camera shows Myrla strutting away just as Esme arrives at camp. Giving Esme a fake smile and a wave, Myrla smirks as she passes by her. Spotting the four cooped up in the shelter, Esme's eyebrows immediately furrow in suspicion.
Jo: Esme! There you are.
Faking ease,
Esme: Hello, darlings. How are you faring this afternoon?
Tawanda (Smiles): Good, and you?
Esme: I'm doing just splendidly, but let's cut past the pleasantries. I assume you've given some thought to voting out Myrla?
Camari (Nods): One hundred percent. She's gotta go.
Satisfied with her answer, Esme gives off a tiny smirk before turning to the others,
Esme: And everyone else is down?
Jo and Frederick give her affirming nods but don't make a sound, instead crossing their arms and otherwise using their body language to unintentionally close themselves off. Spotting these details, Esme's smirk turns into a concerned frown, while Tawanda speaks up in a comforting tone,
Tawanda: Of course, Esme! It's going to be Myrla, easy.
Esme (Grins): Good, good...
There is now a long moment of silence that stretches out for a good five seconds before Esme awkwardly clears her throat, 'will that be all?' To her dismay, she receives simple nods in response. With a frown, Esme is now shown leaving the four of them to themselves. Crossing her arms, Camari wastes no time in getting straight to business,
Camari: Tonight, we're doing the split vote, right? 3-3 Esme and Myrla.
Tawanda: We should be! It's simple enough, who's voting who?
Frederick: Men on Esme, women on Myrla?
Tawanda nods, showing her agreement, while Jo also nods, telling him, 'I'm down with that.' The camera then focuses directly on Camari, who frowns,
Camari: Actually, how about Jo and I vote Myrla and you two vote Esme?
Puzzled, Jo gives her a quizzical look as Tawanda and Frederick look to each other, unsure of how to respond.
Camari: Okay, so Jo and I are voting Myrla, you two are voting Esme, and on the re-vote who's going home?
Still a little confused by her insistence that he vote with her for Myrla, Jo pipes up, 'I think it should be Esme.' Barely suppressing an eyeroll,
Camari: Right. What about you two?
Frederick (Nods): Esme sounds like a good idea.
Tawanda agrees, telling Camari that Esme just isn't to be trusted. Playing nice, Camari gives her a smile, telling her she completely agrees, before she quickly tells Jo to take a walk with her, raising the eyebrows of Frederick and Tawanda. Watching the two of them leave,
Frederick: She couldn't be any more obvious, huh? It's clear she doesn't trust us.
Tawanda: For good reason, we are voting her out tonight.
Frederick (Frowns): Right, but I think she just screwed it up for us. Now if the three of us flip, we still don't have the numbers to vote Camari out...damn, she's smart.
Directly following these words, the scene cuts over to where Jo is berating Camari,
Jo: You're being so dumb right now! I just don't understand why you'd act like that in front of them.
Camari (Rolls eyes): Jo, don't call me dumb.
Jo (Scowls): You're ruining literally every single plan we have in place! Why can't you just stop and keep your mouth shut whenever we have something good going on?
Not liking the way Jo is speaking to her, Camari crosses her arms,
Camari: Jo, watch the attitude.
Jo: Do you have any explanation for being so pushy earlier?
Camari (Frustrated): Yes! Yes, I have a f***ing explanation, and no, you haven't let me explain even once, you've been too busy riding on that high horse of yours.
Snarling, Jo opens his mouth to respond, but Camari cuts him off,
Camari: I needed to make sure we have enough votes no matter what. You and Frederick found out I told Esme while you were together, and given how angry you were at me at first, I had to do something to make sure Frederick didn't try anything!
Jo: Camari, you're being way too paranoid!
Camari: Why don't you listen to anything I say? I'm just trying to help!
Jo: Because your paranoia is ruining everything when we're in a perfectly good spot! We're the swing votes tonight.
Putting her hand up, 'I'm not gonna argue with you.'
Camari: We're on the same team! You don't have to be so condescending.
After Camari's confessional, the scene directly transitions to Jo's confessional, giving his insight on what's happening:
Having possibly the worst timing in the history of bad timing, Esme chooses that exact moment to pop up,
Esme: Hello darlings!
Jo and Camari (Unenthusiastically): ...Hello.
Confused, Esme sees the expressions on their faces and their body language, clearly realizing that they are in the middle of an argument. Pursing her lips, looking displeased,
Esme: This might not be the best time...
Jo: It really isn't.
Camari (At the same time): Definitely not the best time.
Esme: ...Alright. But I'm feeling a little uneasy tonight, and I was hoping you would relieve my fears. Am I safe tonight?
Looking to Jo,
Camari: I don't know, Jo. Is Esme safe tonight?
Scowling back at Camari as Esme raises an eyebrow,
Jo: ...Yes. You're safe tonight, we're voting Myrla.
Camari: That's what I thought.
The scene now transitions back to camp, where Frederick and Tawanda have pulled in Myrla and are now huddled around the firepit. Clearly, things aren't going well as Myrla lets out quite a few shrieks in the midst of her speech,
Myrla: What?!
Tawanda: And--
Myrla (Furious): That utter buffoon!
Camari is over. (Pauses, looking past the camera) That's it. (Shrugs) That's the confessional. (Frowns) Bitch. | |
Tawanda: You have to understand--this might not work! It might be safest to vote out Esme.
Myrla: It had better work. Esme and Camari are meant for each other, they can sink together. Can we have a double tribal?
Frederick: No--
Myrla (Immediately): Could we use the machete?
Frederick: What--no!
Myrla: ...We could use the torches?
The camera now cuts back to the other scene, where Esme is attempting to calm the two of them down,
Esme: We have to work together if we want to make it out of this...
Jo: You hear that Camari?
Camari: Me? You're the one who's yelling at me for doing literally nothing wrong!
Jo: "Literally nothing wrong"? Are you serious?
Camari: Okay, maybe not the best choice of words...
Back to the firepit,
Myrla: ...We could wait here at the firepit? Maybe have a trap?
Frederick (A little weirded out): I think I'm going to be sick.
Myrla: Could ya' spread the sickness to them?
Tawanda (Jokingly): That could work...
Frederick: Tawanda! Don't. Encourage. Her.
Tawanda: Sorry kiddo.
The three of them share a good-natured laugh, a sharp contrast to the other group of three's bickering, before a shot of the sunset now comes onto the screen. When the camera tilts back downwards, we are at a new scene: Jo and Frederick chatting in hushed tones,
Frederick: Camari's making me uneasy...
Jo: Ugh, she's screwing everything up!
Frederick: Maybe...we could get rid of her instead? And get Esme to play the idol too.
Looking horrified,
Jo: Are you serious?
Frederick (Sighs): You're going to need a lot more convincing, aren't you?
Jo: Hell yeah I will.
Chuckling, Frederick refuses to get discouraged,
Frederick: Well, let me convince you.
Jo (Shakes head): You're pushing it, man, I need her.
Frederick: I've seen you two argue, do you really think old tribal lines are that important?
True to Frederick's confessional, Tawanda is shown discussing the vote with Camari, telling her that Jo clearly isn't treating her right.
Tawanda: Look, from mother to mother, I know what's it like to want to care for someone and help them out. But this isn't the game, we have to learn to let go and move on, it'll just make us stronger in the end.
Camari (Nods): Right. So...what are you proposing exactly?
Tawanda: We could do the split vote plan, or we can blindside Jo, get rid of Esme's idol, then it's you, me, and Frederick with Esme and Myrla going at each other.
Following Tawanda's confessional, the camera focuses on Camari, who crosses her arms, listening intently to what Tawanda is saying.
The six Kerja Tim tribe members are now shown grabbing their bags and their torches, getting ready for Tribal. Standing up with a smile, Myrla leads the other five on out to their Tribal Council, the camera focusing on each face before the screen fades to black, leaving the viewers in suspense.
Night Twelve[]
Tribal Council[]
The show finally returns, introduced by a pitch-black screen before light slowly creeps into the frame. After a while, the six Kerja Tim tribe members can then be seen making their way into the Tribal Council area reluctantly. Holding their torches, Jo and Camari lead the way, while the other four stand and await Jeff's instructions.
Jeff: For those of you who have yet to experience Tribal Council - behind each of you is a torch, go ahead and grab one, and approach the flame. Dip it in and get fire. This is part of the ritual of Tribal Council. In this game, fire represents your life. As long as you have fire, you're still in the game. Once your fire is gone, so are you. That will be the case for one of you tonight.
As Jeff speaks, the camera focuses on Myrla, who confident grabs her torch and lights it, followed by a much less confident-looking Tawanda. Finally, the six tribe members are now shown sitting down.
Jeff: Alright, let's get this started. Tawanda, you were on the old Persatuan tribe before the tribe swap, and now that you have a new tribe, how have you adjusted to your surroundings?
Tawanda: It's been great! I miss Jalen a lot, and Jordan too, but I'm super glad I got to know these three wonderful people. Myrla, Camari, and Jo are each wonderful and special people.
Esme (Raising her hand): In the end, though, one of us has to go home, and so we can't allow that to get in the way lest it backfire.
Tawanda (Frowns): ...Right. Esme's right.
Jeff: Frederick, you and Tawanda and Esme have three members on this tribe, do you think that gives you an advantage?
Frederick: Of course, the three of us know that based on tribal lines we can rely on each other. But at the same time after meeting these three kiddos--
Myrla: I'm older than you.
Frederick: Right, sorry, after meeting these two kiddos and the grandma--
Myrla: I'll stick with being a kiddo.
Frederick: That's what I thought you said. (Chuckles) But as I was saying, meeting these three people has been great and it expands it from more than just cut and dry tribal lines.
Esme: Don't you feel that might be overstepping, darling?
Confused, 'what?'
Esme: It just makes me feel a little bit uneasy to hear you say that, dearest.
Frederick (Shakes head): Oh, that's not what I meant at all!
Esme: Good. (Nods) Carry on.
Frederick simply looks at her awkwardly before turning to Jeff and shrugging. Turning to Jo,
Jeff: Jo, you're on the other side of this. You and Camari have only two tribe members, do you think that poses a threat to your safety?
Jo: Definitely, it definitely does. But I don't think that's all there is to it, we may have been from old tribes together but in this new tribe there are new relationships that make everything so much more dynamic.
Jeff: Well-said. Myrla, you're completely alone on this tribe with no one to rely on. How does that make you feel?
Myrla: To be frank, I wanted to slap you right across the face when I received my buff.
Jeff lets out a shocked laugh, as do the other five as she continues,
Myrla: But I ain't giving up, Jeff! No, sir, that's not in me.
Esme (Under her breath): Silicone is what's in you, darling.
Hearing this, Myrla simply stares forward at Jeff with a sweet smile on her face as she fires back,
Myrla: Hey, (mockingly) darling? Even if silicone is in me, I believe we all can tell nothing's been inside of you.
Esme: I'm all-natural, darling.
Myrla: Well, then I hate nature. You need to fix your face, dearest, with surgery preferably.
Eyes widening, Tawanda whips her head around, listening to the argument as Jeff and the other three do the same.
Esme: You know, I could afford your "twins" and more, dear. But I choose not to.
Myrla: Say that again, bitch?
Esme: I said I could afford your twins and more--
Raising her hands in the air triumphantly,
Myrla (Smirks): You all heard that, correct?
She's pleased to receive nods in return, although from Camari's facial expression it's clear she doesn't quite understand the weight of Esme's words just yet.
Myrla: Camari, dearest, (snickers) she just admitted her wealth. As I was saying all along.
A grin comes onto Tawanda's face as Esme recoils in horror, while Camari's jaw drops. 'Oh my God,' she whispers to herself, receiving a pointed look from Jo. However, as the camera focuses on Frederick,
Frederick (Smiles): This is perfect.
He then stands up and whispers into Jo's ear,
Frederick: Myrla was right all along! Should we vote Esme?
Jo (Shakes his head): But she has the idol...
Frederick: Tell her I think Myrla's a liability for blowing up like that and that I'll vote with her.
Jo: I don't think that'd work...
Frederick: Then you'd rather go back to our old plan?
After a moment, Jo gives Frederick a nod and whispers into Camari's ear, causing Tawanda and Myrla to look around in confusion. Frederick then whispers into Tawanda and Myrla's ears, leaving a sour taste in Camari's mouth,
Camari: It's definitely a lie! Why is he telling Myrla if she's the decoy?
Jo (Rolls eyes): He just whispered something to me, he obviously has to cover his tracks.
Looking restless, Esme joins their circle, whispering frantically,
Esme: You've got to keep me, I promise you from the bottom of my heart I will be forever loyal.
Jo shoots her a look of disgust, 'after you lied to us?' which Camari also seconds, causing Esme to frown.
Jo: But here's what I was just told...
The camera now focuses on Frederick, Tawanda, and Myrla, who also seem to be in some sort of disagreement,
Tawanda: Frederick, maybe this is a mistake...
Frederick: Who says?
Tawanda: I do. (Shakes head) I don't think this is going to end well...
Frederick: Have a little faith.
Frederick then taps Jo on the shoulder, whispering in his ear, 'this is the only plan that'll work,' as Jeff watches on in confusion and amazement.
Jeff: Wow. Lots and lots of whispering.
After another moment,
Jeff: You guys done?
Frederick (Nods): ...I believe so.
Finally, the groups disperse and everyone returns to their seats, seemingly calm now that they each have a plan figured out. This in turn confuses Jeff further,
Jeff: Wow, it went from 0 to 100 to 0 again real quick. Camari, do you think your plan has changed after all of the whispering?
Camari: ...I can't give that away, Jeff.
Jeff: Fair enough. I guess now would be the best time to vote. Camari, you're up.
Taking a deep breath, Camari stands up and makes her way up to the voting booth, uncapping the pen as she begins to write down a name. The name she writes isn't shown to the viewers as instead Jo is seen casting his vote, also hidden from the public. The next to vote is Frederick, who gives the camera a nervous smile before voting. Tawanda is next, apologizing to the camera as she gives her voting confessional.
“ | I'm so, so sorry. I love everyone here, I really do. (Sighs) This was so tough to choose someone. | ” |
–Tawanda, vote concealed |
The next voter is Myrla, who wears a confident smile as she puts her vote into the urn. The final voter is Esme, who is shown voting for Myrla.
“ | I said what I meant and I meant what I said, darling. Your "twins" must be fraternal, because they're looking rather uneven tonight. | ” |
–Esme, voting for Myrla |
Esme is then shown making her way back to her seat, giving Jeff a smile and a nod as he announces that he will go tally the votes. As Jeff leaves, the music grows more intense and the camera shows close-ups of the Kerja Tim members before Jeff returns with the urn in his hand.
Jeff: If anyone has a hidden immunity idol and would like to play it, now would be the time to do so...
Everyone sneaks glances at Esme, who simply stares forward at Jeff, before glancing over at Camari and then Jo. She reaches downwards slightly...
And grabs her hidden immunity idol from her bag, smirking.
Esme: I'm not going home tonight, darling.
Myrla: Oh, f*** you.
Esme shrugs her off, giving the hidden immunity idol to Jeff, who grins as he takes it from her. Announcing that the rules of Survivor state that a hidden immunity idol cancels all votes against the wielder, Jeff then confirms that:
Jeff: This is a hidden immunity idol. All votes cast against Esme will not count. I'll read the votes.
Esme smirks as she sits down, crossing her arms, while Tawanda and Myrla can both be seen looking extremely anxious.
Jeff: First vote...
MYRLA. One vote Myrla.
Myrla gives a nod, expecting the vote.
CAMARI. One vote Myrla, one vote Camari.
Camari drops her head into her hands, 'ugh'! As Esme's smirk immediately fades, looking around in confusion.
MYRLA. Two votes Myrla, one vote Camari.
Jo is shown looking very nervous before the next vote is pulled out...
MYRLA. That's three votes Myrla, one vote Camari.
Myrla's eyebrows shoot up while Camari begins to smile. The camera focuses on Tawanda...
CAMARI. Three votes Myrla, two votes Camari. One vote left.
Camari: Oh my God...
Esme continues to look around, confused, while Tawanda looks to Frederick in concern. The camera focuses on Frederick, then Jo, then Jeff as he pulls out the final vote.
CAMARI. We have a tie. Here's how it's going to work...
While Jeff continues to talk, Jo and Esme both look bewildered, as does Camari, while Frederick looks Jo directly in the eye, mouthing 'flip, don't go to rocks'. Esme curses under her breath, causing Myrla to smile. Turning to Frederick, Jo whispers,
Jo: I can't do that.
Frederick: Yes, you can. This is the push you need...
Jo: No, Frederick, you can't just push me like that! That's not how it works.
Frederick: Seriously, Jo, give it some thought.
Realizing Frederick won't listen to him, Jo lets out a heavy sigh before Jeff calls on him to re-vote. Burying his face in his hands, Jo makes his way up to the voting booth, pausing as he debates which name to write down. Frederick, Tawanda, and Esme also cast their votes before sitting back down, waiting for Jeff to read the newly casted votes.
Jeff: First vote...
CAMARI.
Camari: Oh God...
MYRLA.
Myrla has no reaction at all.
CAMARI. Two votes Camari, one vote Esme, one vote left.
Looking over at Jo and Esme in panic,
Camari: Please tell me you didn't vote for me.
Jo simply takes in a deep breath, shaking his head. 'What's that supposed to mean?' she demands, not receiving an answer.
MYRLA. We have a deadlock. Here's how it'll work.
No one seems to be paying attention to Jeff's explanation, however, as the shock at the tied vote sets in. After a moment of silence, Camari then pumps her fist victoriously, grinning. Turning to Jo with a frown,
Frederick: Seriously, Jo?
Jo: Frederick, you can't just push me around like that.
Frederick: I wasn't pushing you around, I was just handing you a lifeline...
Jo: A lifeline that I told you I didn't need. You can't just try and force me into flipping.
Raising an eyebrow,
Frederick: Do you really want to go to rocks right now?
Jo doesn't answer, simply staring at the floor. As Jeff opens the floor for voting and discussion, Tawanda is the first to announce her vote,
Tawanda: I'm voting for Camari.
Camari rolls her eyes as Frederick follows up with 'me too!' Turning to Jo, she hisses,
Camari: I told you something like this would happen, Jo! But you were wearing your rose-colored glasses and didn't see it no matter how much I tried to warn you about it.
Shaking his head vehemently, Jo fires back,
Jo: Says you of all people! You told Esme and all of that spiraled into this happening now, you don't have any right to talk like that.
Camari (Scoffs): Are you really trying to blame this whole situation on me?
Jo doesn't give an answer, simply shaking his head and turning away. Unfortunately, he is met by Frederick, who is pressuring him to vote for Camari.
Frederick: Come on, Jo, you've gotta do it...
Jo: But why would I? That'd be stupid.
Frederick: Do you really think you can rely on Camari? The same woman who got you into this trouble by telling Esme everything? The same woman who you can't stop fighting with literally all the time?
Camari (Scoffs): I can hear you.
Frederick directly ignores her, telling Jo,
Frederick: Camari's not reliable. You two are always arguing, she clearly doesn't have your best interests in mind.
Camari (Interjecting): Neither does he!
Frederick: You don't know that.
Turning the full force of her gaze onto Jo, Camari fiddles with her pink hair nervously,
Camari: I swear, you better not vote me out...
Letting out a humongous sigh, Jo drops his face into his hands, staying in that position dramatically before he finally sits back up and faces the others. Taking in a deep breath,
Jo: I guess I vote for Camari too.
Camari (Furious): What?!
Frederick and Myrla grin as Tawanda gasps in surprise, covering her eyes as if thinking their fallout is too painful to watch.
Camari: I've done all this for us, for our team, and this is the thanks I get?
Jo (Sighs): Frederick's right...you're only dragging me down.
Camari: Frederick's so clearly using you, Jo!
Jo: Just like Esme's using you?
Camari: Jo, now is not the time! Be smart about this!
As Jo tries to respond, Esme raises her hand to cut him off, making a waving motion as if to dismiss him. 'No need,' she shrugs,
Esme: I have the idol played on me, I have no reason to be scared into voting Camari. I'm voting Myrla.
Myrla rolls her eyes, expecting this, while Jo's eyes widen, realizing the mistake he just made. 'Oh s***,' he mutters, turning back to Camari apologetically,
Jo: Sorry, sorry...I'll vote for Myrla too. Jeff, I change my vote.
Camari: Now you change your vote? (Shakes head) I can't believe I cared for you and trusted you so much all that time. You just wanted me out two seconds ago.
Jo (Defensive): Hey, it's the game!
Camari: Really? "It's the game"? That's such a pathetic excuse.
Jo: You can't talk like you're so much better than me, Camari. You probably schemed against me too!
Camari (Rolls eyes): You know what? Tawanda came up to me before Tribal and asked me to vote for you. And I told her no, because one, I had a suspicions all along, and two, I trusted you!
Tawanda's face drops upon being called out, refusing to meet the eye contact of either of the two currently arguing tribemates. Luckily for her, Jeff interjects,
Jeff: So, if you can't come to a unanimous decision--
He's then cut off by Frederick clearing his throat and raising his hand,
Frederick: I'm gonna change my vote to Myrla, Jeff.
A collective gasp is heard as the camera focuses on a now-flabbergasted Myrla, placing her hand over her hammering heart. 'Wh-what?' she manages before Frederick explains,
Frederick: Using rocks to get Jo to vote Camari didn't work, but I'm not stupid enough to draw a rock myself.
Even Tawanda however looks shocked by this decision, 'Frederick, are you serious?' Nodding, 'completely.'
Frederick: Look, Tawanda, I know you really like Myrla...
Myrla (Talking over him): Blah, blah, blah! Frederick's speaking utter f***ing nonsense, don't listen to him!
Frederick: ...But going to rocks just isn't worth it...
Myrla: He's going crazy, he's-he's going mad! Take his words with a grain of salt.
Tawanda scrunches up her face, clearly in distress, as the two of them continue to plead to her. Turning to Esme, 'thank you so much.'
Camari: Now I know who I can trust, since Jo turned on me.
Esme: You're welcome, darling.
The camera now focuses on Tawanda, who takes in deep breaths as Frederick and Myrla continue to blabber,
Frederick: I know I pushed you into this situation by forcing this plan, I know it's my fault...
Myrla (Frantic/Dramatically): Mental asylum! Complete and utter insanity!
Waving them both away and taking in a deep breath,
Tawanda: Jeff...
Tawanda: I'm not changing my vote.
Myrla shrieks, grinning, 'thank you, thank you, thank you!' as Frederick's jaw drops.
Myrla: You won't f***ing regret this, I swear!
Pausing for a moment, Frederick blinks as if unable to understand what's happening. After processing it, Frederick lets out a big sigh,
Frederick (Shakes head): Tawanda...
With an excited grin, it's clear that Jeff is loving the action, wasting no time in explaining how the rock draw will work:
Jeff: ...White means you're safe, black means you're eliminated from the game.
Tawanda is shown nodding with a visible gulp as she accepts the rock draw, while Frederick continues to sigh,
Frederick: Tawanda, this is not a good idea.
Tawanda: Frederick, I really do trust Myrla...and this is a situation you put us in.
Frederick (Sighs): Right...but this was not a good idea.
Tawanda: I know, but it's a lose-lose for us right now. I'd rather take a 1/3 chance of a win than none.
Frederick opens his mouth as if to respond, but is interrupted by Jeff coming around with the rocks. Instructing them not to peek, Jeff allows Tawanda, Frederick, and Jo to pick a rock, as Esme, Myrla, and Camari are immune. Giving her a smile,
Myrla: Good luck, Tawanda.
Tawanda (Nervous): Thanks.
Camari: Good luck...uh, everyone.
Jo rolls his eyes and grabs the rock from Jeff, taking a shuddering breath as Jeff counts down.
Jeff: 3...2...1...
The music grows more and more intense, the camera dramatically cutting between the three...
Jeff: REVEAL.
Opening their hand first and finding the white rock is...
JO. Letting out a huge sigh of relief, he turns to see the results that Tawanda and Frederick got...
TAWANDA spots the BLACK ROCK, face crumpling as Frederick beside her lets out a loud gasp. Myrla is shown staring, jaw dropped, before she slowly lets out a sigh. Burying her face in her hands, Tawanda immediately begins to sob.
Tawanda: Oh God...
Frederick wraps her in a comforting hug, but Tawanda seems inconsolable, 'I'm so stupid!' she laments.
Tawanda: This is all my fault...
Frederick doesn't respond for a moment before sighing, 'I don't know what to say...'
Tawanda: I'm really gonna miss you.
Frederick: Same.
Tawanda: I'm so sorry I got you eliminated...
The camera focuses on the BLACK ROCK in FREDERICK'S hand, signaling his elimination. Standing up and using one hand to grab his bags, he continues to whisper into Tawanda's ear,
Frederick: You can do this without me, I believe in you. Myrla will be forever loyal to you, Esme doesn't have an idol, Jo and Camari hate each other now.
Tawanda (Sniffles): But I can't lose you! First Jalen, now you?
Shaking his head and ignoring this,
Frederick: Show Myrla your letter, it'll make her trust you more. You know what to do, you're a strong lady.
Now pulling away with his bags, Frederick goes to get his torch, making a goofy expression at Tawanda as he does so, desiring to cheer her up. Upon seeing her let out a slight chuckle, he grins, satisfied, placing his torch in front of Jeff.
Frederick: This ol' man--or kiddo, according to my tribe--is ready to go.
Jeff (Grins): Frederick, the game has spoken.
He snuffs Frederick's torch, the single movement from him ending the entirety of Frederick's life in the game.
Jeff: It's time for you to go.
Turning around and giving his tribe a cheerful wave, 'start winning, guys.'
Frederick: Tawanda, Myrla, you can do this.
Myrla gives him a nod as Tawanda simply waves goodbye, still sniffling quietly to herself. The camera now follows Frederick, as he shakes his head, wide-eyed.
Frederick: Wow! And I was doing so great too. In my own humble opinion.
As Jeff gives his closing lines to the five remaining Kerja Tim tribe members, Frederick continues on the path, knowing what to expect.
Frederick: Come on, where's the note?
He finally arrives at the note writing station, a cheerful grin still on his face. Suddenly, a goofy sound effect plays in the background as Frederick drops the pen.
Frederick (Grins): ...Oops.
Laughing to himself, he picks the pen back up and begins to write:
Frederick: Dear Jordan...
