Survivor: The Beginning[]
When Pen arrived on the Sabah tribe, he quickly got annoyed by Bob's bossy personality. The two argued until Olive came by and suggested that the three of them form an alliance. Pen agreed to it, but didn't want to. After losing the first challenge, Natalie had a meltdown. Pen then came up with the idea to bring Peter and Victoria into the alliance. He was able to, and the alliance of five decided that the lazy Billy would be much more useful than the emotional Natalie. And Pen succeeded in booting Natalie. Pen named the alliance "The Force". After losing the next Immunity, Pen decided to leave Bob the deciding vote between Jennifer and Billy. Instead, Bob voted Pen. In the re-vote, Pen got back at Bob by voting for him. But Jennifer was still the one voted out. Pen managed to eliminate Billy, the last outsider of The Force. He continued to battle Bob, while the two tried to send the votes in the other's direction. When Pen finally felt vulnerable, he apologized to Bob. It wasn't enough and Pen was voted out unanimously and took The Force down with him.

- Being a writer, Pen wrote a story based on his experience, which he called "The Island Force".
