Story[]

Night 27[]

The Canucks Tribe returns to camp after just having voted out Kyle. Simon is grinning ear to ear over the vote and he thanks everyone for following through with the vote. Violet rolls her eyes in disgust and goes into the shelter and lies down.

My chances of winning this game have just sharply decreased. I really hate watching Simon gloat over Kyle being voted out. Sure Kyle might not have been all that nice to him but that does not mean Simon has to be so outwardly happy about Kyle being gone. I hate sore winners.

What sucks even more is I have no one left to work with and I am not sure what I should or can do to stay in the game. This sucks but it is what it is. I just have to find a way to survive.

–Violet

Day 28[]

Day twenty-eight begins with Violet and Zelda having a conversation about what Violet can do to stay in the game.

Quote1Look I know I was standoffish prior to the team mix-up and I was standoffish after the merge. There really was no good excuse for it, I just felt out of place with you guys. I mean you were all older than me and so I felt like I had nothing of value to add to any conversations.

So I just sort of stayed quiet and because of that I was on the chopping block on day one.Quote2
- Violet

Quote1Well not speaking will do that. It is after all a social game and so you need to…uh…talk.Quote2- Zelda

Quote1I know but I just felt out of place with you guys at the start. Right now I am hoping to change that. I want the original Beothuk Four to be the final four. Think about how great that would be.

My game is in your hands right now, I will work my butt off to do whatever needs to be done in order for you, Marlon, and Paul to get further in the game. You do know that Urban was talking to Kyle about the possibility of flipping?Quote2
- Violet

Quote1I had a feeling he might but I did not know that for a fact.Quote2- Zelda

Quote1Well I am telling you it was the truth. Far be it for me to tell you how to play the game but I truly think that you should get rid of Urban before he makes a move against you. That move will be coming and probably sooner than you think.

Trust me when I say this, if you think you can use Jocelyn to your advantage you are dead wrong. She is not to be trusted as she is the ultimate floater in this game. She has switched sides so much that it makes my head spin.Quote2
- Violet
Quote1Yeah I guess it was a little shady what she did last night in voting against Kyle…Quote2- Zelda

Quote1That’s only the half of it. She has done that the whole entire game. She voted out Billie-Jean as well despite the fact that they worked together during the previous vote.Quote2- Violet

Quote1Well you voted for her as well and I remember Billie-Jean telling me that you were a cool person and that we as a group should give you a shot.Quote2- Zelda

Quote1I only did that because Billie-Jean and George formed such a tight bond and they needed to be broken up. Other than that I have not gone against anyone who I have previously pledged to work with.Quote2- Violet

I had a very interesting conversation with Violet today, she put everything she could out on the table and she did present a good reason as to why she should stay. I will take into consideration everything she said to me.

I am just not sure if she is someone I am willing to work with. I mean here we are on day twenty-eight and we are just now having our longest conversation. I know a little bit about everyone out here with the exception of her. But now that her back is up against the wall she wants to be my friend and she wants to work with me…that is a little odd.

–Zelda

It is so obvious that Zelda is the powerbroker in this game. She might pretend she is not but I know she is the one calling the shots. So it really makes sense to make myself seem valuable to her.

I mean there are other options out there but I am not sure if any of them is worth pursuing.

–Violet

Later on in the day, the Beothuk Three (Paul, Marlon, and Zelda) talk about Violet and if they should work with her. Zelda informs that guys about what Violet told her about Urban. Paul laughs and says that he knew it was coming because Urban clearly sees that he is the low man on the totem pole. Marlon agrees and says that they should go out of their way to make him feel a part of all of their decisions.

Zelda says that if they choose to work with Violet they may not need to worry about Urban because he will not have the numbers to do anything. She continues by saying if they get rid of Urban at the next vote he will never know it is coming because he thinks he is safe.

Marlon does not seemed interested in the prospect as Violet turned on George and because of that he is not sure he wants to help her get further in the game. Zelda tells Marlon to try not to play personally; if keeping Violet around is beneficial to the three of them then they should keep her around.

Marlon assures Zelda that it is not personal, he just thinks that if Violet was so willing to turn on George, she would be willing to turn on them in a heartbeat. Paul says he agrees with both sides but he thinks that either Simon or Jocelyn would be better to work with if they have to take out Urban and Pearl.

Paul and Marlon just do not seem up to the task of taking out someone who could potentially change the game. Urban is a huge threat to do that, right now we should get him before he gets us. We have the people to do it so we should just do it or the three of us will be heading straight for the jury.

–Zelda

Zelda has a get them before they get me way of playing this game. That’s cool but that is just not the way I roll. The way I see it is you stick by the people who got you to where you are and you only get rid of them when you absolutely have to.

–Marlon

Day 29[]

Day twenty-nine begins with a confessional from Violet.

This game has been tough for me. I am not a very social person, I find it very hard to make friends and so when Kyle, Andy, and Octavia sort of let me in their group it felt great. For once I was part of the cool kids and I was not the outcast.

Well now that they are all gone I am back to being the outcast again. It just sucks because I know I have to find a way to connect to these people and build trust with them but if I am being honest I really do not have the social skills to do so.

–Violet

We now see Violet and Jocelyn on the beach discussing the possibility of working together.

Quote1Look I will admit I was pretty pissed off when I realized that you voted for Kyle. But looking back at it, it was absolutely the right move to make. I probably should have voted with you as well.Quote2- Violet

Quote1Yeah I mean why piss off the people who have the power, if that vote means I stay out here three more days then I did the right thing.Quote2- Jocelyn

Quote1Have you thought about turning this game on its head again?Quote2- Violet

Quote1It depends, what are you talking about?Quote2- Jocelyn

Quote1How about an alliance with you, Simon, Urban, Pearl, and me. That way the next three votes will be easy and then when it comes down to five you, me, and Simon work to get the other two out.Quote2- Violet

Quote1Well I wouldn’t be opposed to such a plan but the question is can you get the others to work with you. If you cannot swing it, then I am just going to have to vote with the majority again.Quote2- Jocelyn

Quote1Obviously I haven’t gotten people on board yet but Urban made it clear to Kyle that he was willing to jump ship if given the opportunity. So I say let’s provide him the opportunity and see where it takes us.Quote2- Violet

Quote1If you can get Urban and Pearl to work with you then you will have my vote as well. That is the only kind of promise I can make you right now.Quote2- Jocelyn

Quote1Okay...uh…cool. I’ll…um…see what I can do.Quote2- Violet

The people in this game can be so frustrating to deal with. There is always talk of making big moves but none of them are willing to make those moves. I just don’t get these people.

–Violet

Right now Violet is at the point in her game where she is probably going to be the next to go. I have watched her for the past two days running around trying to secure herself three more days. I respect that because heck that might be me three days from now.

However, Violet is not getting anyone to back her play. She is a lone wolf right now and so there is no way I am putting my neck on the line to help secure her three more days. If she can flip this game on its head I will be more than happy to help her. But if she cannot…well I will happily send her to the jury.

–Jocelyn

A little later on in the day we see Marlon and Jocelyn retrieving treemail. They head back to the camp proper, were the rest of the castaways are standing around talking, and Marlon opens up the treemail. Each member of the Canucks Tribe received five hundred dollars in U.S. currency and the letter in treemail informs them that they have the money because they are about to take part in the Survivor Auction.

The Auction begins and the first item up for bid is an ice cold beer and a cheese burger. Paul immediately plops down all of his money. Nobody else bid against him and so the cheese burger and beer is his.

The next item up for bid was a covered item. Urban bid twenty dollars right off the bat. Marlon counter bid with forty dollars. The two of them continued to one up each other until Urban decides he would rather not bid anymore. Marlon wins the bidding war at three hundred and twenty dollars. Jeff reveals what Marlon has won and it is a small peperoni and cheese pizza with a glass of Coke.

The third item up for bid is another covered item. Pearl starts the bidding and she soon gets into a bidding war with Violet. Violet, who complains about how hungry she is, wins the covered item for two hundred and forty dollars. Jeff reveals what Violet has won and it is a fish head. Violet is nearly in tears upon the revelation of her “prize”. She declines to eat what she has just won.

The next item up for bid is a sealed envelope. Inside the envelope is an advantage in the upcoming Immunity Challenge. Violet immediately bids all of her remaining money but Simon bids all of his money. Simon ends up winning the bid when nobody else joins in on the bidding.

The fifth item up for bid is a cheese cake and an ice coffee. Zelda starts the bidding and both Pearl and Violet join her in the bidding war. In the end Pearl wins the cheese cake and ice coffee by bidding three hundred dollars. Violet does not seem pleased at all by the outcome of that bidding.

The sixth item up for bid is a glass of lemonade. Urban bids twenty dollars and nobody else bids so he wins. Before Urban can get his glass of lemonade, Jeff pulls out another covered tray. Jeff informs Urban that he can take his lemonade or he can have the covered up item. Urban decides to stick with the lemonade. Jeff informs Urban that he made the correct decision as the covered up item was a glass of river water.

The final item up for bid is a large chocolate chip cookie and a glass of milk. Zelda and Violet start bidding against each other. Zelda bows out pretty quickly because she realizes that Violet needs to eat more than she does.

Before Violet can collect her prize, Jeff Probst makes her a counter offer. Jeff offers to give the tribe an extra bag of rice if Violet does not eat her cookie. Violet looks over at her fellow castaways, wondering what she should do. They all tell her to take the cookie, which she does. With that the auction is done.

Part of me feels really bad for Violet, she is clearly very hungry and so she passed up on the immunity advantage in order to eat. The thing that sucks for her is she needed that advantage the most but I guess she felt that food should be her priority. Oh well her loss is my gain I suppose.

–Simon

The auction was an absolute nightmare for me. I was so damn hungry and I ended up winning a fish head. Then because I spent all of my money on that damn fish head, Simon out bid me for the immunity advantage which was probably the thing I needed the most.

Then to top it off, I am put in the situation where I can give up the cookie that I won in order to get a bag of rice for the tribe. I chose the cookie because I was so damn hungry and I know there were people that were disappointed in me for doing so.

The way I look at it is I might not be here past tomorrow so I might as well get the most out of the game while I am still in it.

–Violet

Day 30[]

Day thirty begins with a conversation between Pearl and Urban. Urban tells Pearl that it is the perfect time to get rid of one of the original Beothuk people. He says he would prefer it to be either Marlon or Zelda but he is fine with getting rid of Paul.

Pearl once again cautions Urban about making such a move at this point in the game. She says that the day thirty-three Tribal Council should be the day they make their big move because then they can pull in whoever is left out of the trio of Simon, Violet, and Jocelyn and promise them final four. Pearl says it is too dangerous to make a five person alliance at this point because they will be outnumbered.

Urban laughs and says that Jocelyn, Simon, and Violet are not exactly friends and so he is not afraid of being outnumbered in the vote because he doubts the three of them would work together in order to get him and Pearl out. Pearl says that he might be reading the situation correctly but self-preservation is a strong motivator and so they may work together if they think it will help there game out. Pearl then says that if one of those three were to go then they could build a solid final four with the leftovers.

Pearl never wants to make any big moves against Paul, Marlon, and Zelda. I think it is because she knows that she will probably be in the final four with them no matter what. What sucks for me is that my window is closing fast.

I’ve only got three people behind me before my ass is up on that chopping block. Hell my ass might be up there even sooner than that. I’m at the point in the game where I need to make a big move and take a big player out so that I can take over this damn game and show the jury my worth. I’m sick of sitting on my hands waiting to make a move.

–Urban

There is a bit of a cold war going on in the game right now. Zelda, Paul, and Marlon know they need to get rid of Urban and Urban knows he needs to get rid of the three of them. However, neither side has taken the first shot yet.

I keep on cautioning Urban about moving against them because of two reasons. First I truly do think it is too early to make such a move. Three more days from now will be the perfect time to make that move. Secondly, I am good with all four of them and I really don’t want to jump the gun and commit to either side yet. I know I will eventually have to do so but I have to figure out what is the best move for me is.

–Pearl

Immunity Challenge:

The members of the Canucks enter the challenge area. Jeff takes the immunity necklace back from Pearl. Jeff then brings up the fact that Simon bought an envelope at yesterday’s auction which earned an advantage at today’s Immunity Challenge. Jeff asks Simon to open up said letter and tell the other contestants what the advantage is.

Simon opens up his envelope and reads a letter stating that he is allowed to skip the first round of the challenge. After Simon announces his advantage Jeff goes over the rules of the challenge. Jeff then reminds the castaways that the winner of the challenge will be safe from the vote. He then reminds the rest of the contestants that anyone not holding Immunity could end up becoming the eleventh person to be voted out of Survivor: Terra Nova.

Due to Simon’s advantage in the challenge the two groups were uneven. The first group consisted of Zelda vs. Marlon vs. Jocelyn. Only one person from that first group, the first person to finish their puzzle, will advance into the second round. The second group consisted of Pearl vs. Paul vs. Violet vs. Urban. Two people from the second group, the first two people to finish their puzzle; will advance into the second round.

The first group starts and all three seem to be struggling with their respective puzzles. Marlon really seems to be struggling as the women begin to make progress on their puzzles. In the end it is Jocelyn who finishes first out of her group which means she advances into the next round.

The second group starts their round and right out of the gate it looks as if Paul has this in the bag. Urban and Pearl seem to be doing good as well but Violet looks like she is totally stumped. Paul is able to secure his spot in the next round when he finishes his puzzle first. Pearl, Urban, and Violet are now battling for the second spot in the second round. Pearl ends up finishing her puzzle just mere seconds before Urban finishes his. This means that Pearl is the final person to advance into the next round.

For the second round the two people who finish their puzzle the fastest will advance into the finals. Right out of the gate the puzzle gods smile upon Jocelyn as she breezes through her puzzle. Jocelyn finishes first which means that she is the first person to advance into the final round of the challenge.

Simon, Pearl, and Paul are all pretty much close in the battle for the second spot in the finals. Simon manages to pull out the victory and advance into the finals where he will take on Jocelyn.

Jeff Probst informs Jocelyn and Simon that this is the toughest puzzle thus far. Both Jocelyn and Simon seem unsure as to how to tackle their respective puzzles. It is clear that both are nervous as neither one of them really has a secure spot moving forward in the game and so Immunity is a must for both of them.

Both are neck and neck at the start of the round but that really means nothing because neither one of them is making true progress on their puzzles. Finally, things begin to click for Simon and he soon pulls ahead of Jocelyn and ultimately beats her to win Immunity.

Jeff places the Immunity Necklace around Simon’s neck after the challenge is over. Jeff then reminds the other castaways that Simon will be safe from the vote at Tribal Council and everyone else has the chance of becoming the eleventh person voted out of the game.

The Canucks Tribe returns from the Immunity Challenge and we see the other castaway congratulating Simon on his hard fought victory. Violet tries to put on a cheerful face but it is obvious that she is anything but happy.

Part of me just wants to give up and go home. But I know that if I do that I am going to regret not doing my best out here. So I have to put on a fake smile and pretend I am happy for Simon’s victory because I need him to work with me.

–Violet

Violet asks to talk to Simon and the two head out of camp. Violet asks where Simon’s head is at in the game right now and Simon says he is not sure. He says that he will probably just vote with the majority because his position in the game is still shaky and he does not want to ruffle any feathers.

Violet says that he could play that way but if he wants to make it to the finals and have the respect of the jury he is going to have to do something major. She says that sitting on his hands is not going to get him anywhere. Simon agrees but says that the votes are not there to make a major shift yet. A frustrated Violet begrudgingly agrees with it that line of thinking but she counters that if people wake up and realize where they are in the game maybe the votes will be there so they can make a shift.

I admire Violet’s grit but there is no way I am going to put myself out there to help her. After all she has hardly talked to me even though we have been on the same tribe for the majority of the game. I just do not see how keeping her around is beneficial to my game.

–Simon

These people are so frustrating, talking to each of them is like banging my head up against a brick wall. Nobody wants to do anything in this game to shake things up. I am practically throwing myself at everyone in the hopes that someone will want to make a move and nobody wants to do anything. This is beyond frustrating at this point.

–Violet

Meanwhile back at the camp proper Paul, Marlon, Urban, and Zelda are talking about who should stay between Violet and Jocelyn. Marlon says he is going to vote for Violet regardless of how everyone else is voting because he does not feel like Violet should be rewarded for turning on Billie-Jean and George. Urban agrees with Marlon saying right now it is all about who deserves to advance further in the game and someone who is a known backstabber should not be able to stay in the game.

Zelda brings up the fact that Jocelyn has backstabbed people as well and she is not the most loyal of people either. Paul laughs and says that Jocelyn’s backstabbing helped them out so it was good backstabbing while Violet’s backstabbing was not beneficial to them. The others laugh at this comment and they seem to come to a consensus that Violet should indeed be the next to go.

I am not crazy about all of this talk about who is worthy and not worthy of staying in the game. To me that is pure and utter crap, there is nobody who deserves to be out here more than anyone else.

–Zelda

Right now I am all about keeping the good people in this game and Violet ain’t good people. She did George and Billie-Jean wrong and so tonight she has to pay for doing what she did.

–Marlon

Tribal Council:

After the members of the Canucks Tribe settle into their seats, Jeff brings in the members of the jury Octavia and Kyle who was voted out at the last Tribal Council. Kyle frowns the moment he sees that Simon is wearing the immunity necklace (Or that is what the editors would have you believe happened.).

Jeff Probst asks Jocelyn if she is at all worried about going home tonight as the vote would appear to be between her and Violet as they are the only two people who are not part of the majority alliance. Jocelyn says that nobody has told her anything and so she hopes there is no need to worry about the vote tonight.

Violet tells Jeff that Jocelyn should not be worried because she is not the target. Violet says that it is painfully obvious that she is the one on the chopping block tonight. Jeff asks why Violet thinks she is next.

Violet gives off a nervous laugh before saying she knows she is next because it is the truth. Violet then goes on to explain how she has spent the last three days pleading with people to work with her and nobody has bothered to take her up on her offer. She then says that she has no idea why so many people in the game are afraid to make any big moves.

Marlon interrupts and says that it is not that people do not want to make big moves, it is just that people do not see the reason to make big moves yet. Violet rolls her eyes and says that sort of thinking is what will make Marlon a jury member.

Marlon is clearly not pleased by that comment and he says the following to Violet…

Have you ever thought that the reason why people don’t want to work with you is not because they don’t want to make a big move and it is more to do with your personality or lack thereof.

You hardly ever talk to anyone and when you do it is only to save yourself in the game. I don’t think I have had a truly personal conversation with you this entire game. Then to top it all off you get rid of the two people who had your back just so you could be in a cooler alliance.

–Marlon

Violet is clearly caught off guard by the anger Marlon is showing her and she begins to stammer for a minute before saying to Marlon…

I’m sorry you feel that way about me Marlon. If you feel that much anger towards me then you might as well just vote me out. You were probably going to do so anyways.

–Violet

Jeff asks Pearl how she plans on voting tonight. Pearl says in a rather matter of fact manner…

There are folks that I am aligned with and there are folks that I am not aligned with and I intend to vote for one of the folks that I am not aligned with.

–Pearl

With that last comment it is time to vote.

The members of the Canucks Tribe get up to vote and after the last person votes, which was Zelda, Jeff goes and retrieves the votes. Jeff returns from tallying the votes and asks the castaways if anyone has a Hidden Immunity Idol before he reads the first vote. Nobody does and so Jeff begins reading the votes. Jeff proceeds to read all of the votes and in the end Violet becomes the eleventh contestant to be voted out of Survivor: Terra Nova and the third member of the jury.

Voting Confessionals[]

This vote is probably pointless but I have to vote for someone.

–Violet

You did George and Billie-Jean wrong and now you have to pay.

–Marlon

I have nothing against you girl but I still have to play the game and that means I have to vote for you.

–Jocelyn

Maybe if you would have actually talked to more I would have wanted to work with you. You did not and so I am voting to send you to the jury.

–Simon

I really do not have much to say, I tried to get people to keep you but nobody wanted to.

–Zelda

I am not sure how I feel about this vote but I said I was going to vote for you and I am keeping my word.

–Paul

Take care…

–Pearl

I wanted to work with you I truly did but it was not meant to be I am afraid.

–Urban

Final Words[]

Well this is not much of a surprise after all I am playing with a bunch of cowards. Nobody was willing to do anything and it really makes me angry that I am going to have to make one of those seven a millionaire.

Author's Notes[]

  • I tried to make a traditional Survivor Auction chart but it kept coming out to large because I wrote too much in the notes. I then decided to copy UlforceKnight’s chart from Survivor: La Mosquitia. That chart was a life saver right there, I doubt you will ever read this but thank you UlforceKnight for making that chart in the first place.
