Personal Claim to Fame: Moving my way up the ladder of success to become the manager of a high-end department store in the Midwest. It took a lot of hard work and patience but I couldn't have had a wider smile on my face when I got the position. I still can't believe how much I've progressed in my career to this day.
Inspiration in Life: My father for bringing me over to America when I was just an infant from the Philippines. My mother died giving birth to me, so me and him were left all alone. But I'm glad he knew that staying put was not an option. Migrating was the best decision going forward as I think about all the things that I have today that wouldn't have even been plausible if we had not come to this country in the first place.
Hobbies: Running, Movie Nights With Friends, and Just Being With People in General.
Pet Peeves: Being in the retail world, I've been trained to deal with all sorts of different types of people. I know how to handle myself around every person with care, and it is really hard for me to get genuinely annoyed with someone. The only thing I can think of might be quitters, just coming from my personal background and all that.
3 Words to Describe You: Sociable, Charming, Sneaky.
SURVIVOR Contestant You Are Most Like: Brenda from Nicaragua for charming the pants off of everyone moments into the game. It did put a target on her back, but she moved past it and went on to become a dominant and cunning strategist, all with a smile on her face.
Reason for Being on SURVIVOR: For the experience. I mean, how often do I get the chance to go out and take in a place exotic as Laos? Not since I was a baby, that's for sure! And just getting to scheme and strategize, it's just such a fun concept to me and I can't wait to get into that element of the game.
Why You Think You’ll “Survive” SURVIVOR: I consider myself to be pretty thick-skinned, and I have read up on how to survive in the wild and make fire and all that jazz. So when the time comes, I think I can be very independent out in the wild.
Why You Think You Will Be the Sole SURVIVOR: When it comes down to it, this is a social experiment. Having to connect and interact with all sorts of different personalities is a part of my daily duties and I think that you could call me a master of manipulation if that title suits your interests. Either way, I believe that bringing these qualities to the table along with my physical strength, I'm no stranger to the gym, will be enough to carry me to that end goal.
