Cold Chills of Hell is the fifth episode of Survivor: Portland Bight.

Previously on Survivor..[]

It was decided on Oracabessa's camp that Rudy would still be in this game. But Rudy didn't feel too comfortable about his status. Hiro and Cassidy were on the outs. Yet, Hiro had a plan to get them out of the mess. Over at Alcoa, Nathan's workout routines were getting on his tribe's nerves. But Ernie made it a point to keep him till the end.

Alcoa won the reward challenge and suffered through Wayne's eating habits. Hiro proposed an all guy alliance with Rudy and showed him the idol. Rudy wasn't buying it. Prim and Wayne were causing more problems for Alcoa at camp that it angered Tori.

At the immunity challenge, Cassidy decided to quit in the middle. Jessica came in and led a rally. But Rudy took an elbow to the head and was bleeding. Along with his pleas, he was cleared to continue and Oracabessa tied the score. But Nathan secured the final point for his tribe and Oracabessa lost for the second time in a row.

Rudy and the other five had a plan to remove the idol from Hiro. The girls convinced Cassidy that Hiro was playing her and wanted an all guys alliance. Cassidy seemed to buy it. At Tribal Council, Hiro's plan was exposed as the others made up stories about him. Hiro had no choice but to play the idol, canceling four votes against him. But Cassidy was next in line with three votes and she was sent packing.

16 are left. Who will be voted out tonight?

Story[]

Night 11[]

Oracabessa[]

Oracabessa returns to camp having voted off Cassidy. Hiro is disgusted by what just took place.

I'm sickened and disgusted by what just took place at Tribal Council. Not only did I play my idol for myself, but I also lost a good ally in Cassidy. The other six seem to think I could manipulate them well that they decide to screw my plans. Pisses me off.

–Hiro

Hiro Well done guys! I must say that I'm just disgusted by what took place tonight.

Charlotte It had to be done man.

Hiro No it didn't. You guys our full of s***. You think you could easily do that and screw my game?

Jessica Who are you to call us out on our plan when you decided to go against the girls and form a Fearsome Foursome?

Hiro Cassidy is a critical asset to this tribe.

Henry She quit during the challenge man. Why should she be trusted after the challenge?

Hiro You guys are screwed up. To hell with all of you.

No surprise here. Hiro calls us out for screwing his plans and voting Cassidy out. He can be an ass if he wants. But the bottom line, he saved himself with his idol, but Cassidy took the bait. We surrounded him and we flushed the idol out. So now, he's on the chopping block next.

–Jessica

Amy, Fred, and Rudy meet up at their favorite spot to discuss plans.

Amy I'm starting to think that maybe Hiro should stay because we need to win challenges. I think the other three cannot be trusted.

Fred That's what I was thinking. Hero's stronger in challenges. We want to win and we have to.

Rudy I see your points. But think about it. If we want to get by unscathed, we have to get rid of those that have eyes on us. I think Hiro is the person that may catch onto us.

Amy My biggest worry is that if we get him out, then we'll lose every challenge to the merge.

Rudy Which is why if we keep him, we tell him he's on the hot seat, and send one of the other three home.

Fred Henry is the weakest of the other three. We can send him home to keep Hiro safe.

Hiro is the biggest opposition we have. His back is to the wall. I've fought guys like him. When they backed into a corner, they come out swinging. So maybe perhaps it's better if we keep him around and send someone like Henry home, then that would be a benefit to us.

–Fred

Amy I kind of like our nickname. The Western Night Train. We can just go by without being seen.

Fred Good call Rudy!

Rudy I can't help it. I just thought it fits well.

We're calling ourselves the Western Night Train because it's three of us traveling to our destination in the middle of the night undetected. If this train gets us to the end, then we have reached our destination. So far, we've managed to be unnoticed as an alliance because we're part of a crew of six. But we're controlling the other three. If this keeps up, then Amy, Fred, and Rudy will be sitting in the Final Three as the "Greatest Alliance Ever!"

Day 12[]

Alcoa[]

The next morning, something is odd. The temperature is not as warm as it used to be. Both tribe members get up and encounter something strange: coldness. On Alcoa, everyone is talking about the weather.

Tanner: You have got to be kidding.

Mavis: It's so cold!

Tori: We're gonna have to take turns using the blankets.

Wayne: I'm just keeping it for awhile. Because it is c.c.c.cold.

Nathan: This is insane!

Yesterday, it was warm and sunny with a feeling of joy and paradise. Today, we get up and ice enters our faces. I never thought in a million years we would be dealing with a cold day. Especially during the summer times.

–Dexter

Cold means nothing to me. I've dealt with snow back where I'm from. So I can pretty much handle everything But the question is, do we have the guts to deal with it in the tribe?

–Wayne

Mavis: I hope our next challenge involves hot coffee or something because I could use that right now.

Dexter: I agree! I can't stand warm heat.

Tanner: But look on the bright side. It's just as worse over at Oracabessa as it is here.

Oracabessa[]

Sure enough, Tanner's prediction was right. The scene cuts to Oracabessa, who are also dealing with the effects of the cold weather.

Jessica: Damn! I was planning on going skinny dipping today.

Fred: There goes the neighborhood.

Charlotte: Why on such an important challenge day does this have to be freezing?

I feel like right now waking up to my radio saying to me 'Good Morning Survivor Players! I hope you're rest was a good one. Today's temperature is expected to be cold with a chance of rain and ice freezing over. Have a nice day!' I didn't sign up to be a part of Survivor's version of The Ice Bowl.

–Rudy

Hiro: This is ridiculous man.

Henry: Welcome to the cold chills of hell guys. Population is at least seven people.

My biggest worry is if we have to go to the challenge in this temperature, what performance will we show to Alcoa. If we have a bad day because of the weather, then we might as well quit this game.

–Charlotte

Henry and Jessica are seen talking to each other.

Henry: I feel weird being with you right now because you're a pretty woman and I feel like... a squint to whatever.

Jessica; It's ok! Thank you though! Don't think of me as a woman. I'm your friend, remember?

Henry: I know! But I think the best thing for us is that Hiro, even though he's a jerk right now, he does have an ability to help us win challenges though. I'm possibly the weakest person on this tribe.

Jessica: No, you're not! You're not weak!

Henry: I feel like it.

Jessica Listen to me. I feel like I know where this is going. You basically worry that if we lose, then you're the target. I'll see to it that Hiro can get on our side and we can either take out Charlotte or possibly Amy.

Henry: I think Amy should go because I don't think she's carried her weight yet.

Jessica: I think so to. But we'll wait till we lose. That is if we lose.

Henry's worried that if we lose the next challenge, he's going on the block. He doesn't seem to be safe everyday. I'm just trying to tell him to relax and stay calm because I want Henry with me right now. I want him and Charlotte on my side. Perhaps if we can win at least one challenge today or tomorrow, then it takes the pressure of him and makes me look good.

–Jessica

Reward Challenge[]

Jeff: Come on in guys!

It's time for the Reward Challenge as both teams arrive feeling cold.

Jeff: Alcoa getting your first look at the new Oracabessa tribe. Cassidy voted out last time. You guys look cold.

Hiro: We do!

Jeff: Well I have to say that Jamaica doesn't get this cold often. But today is 69 degrees. The coldest day that we'd ever had in Survivor history. With a bit of wind chill, it's even colder.

Ernie: Dang!

Jeff: But nevertheless, we have a challenge today. You guys ready for it?

Everyone: Yes sir!

Jeff explains the rules of the challenge.

Jeff: For today's challenge, you're going to be competing in one-on-one rounds. On my go, you will slide along a slippery track to get a designated ball. You will then take the ball and try to make it into a basket. First person to do so scores a point for their tribe. First tribe to four points wins reward. Wanna know what you're playing for?

Everyone Yes sir!

Jeff It's cold today. Hopefully warmer tomorrow. But what a good way to get warmer with nothing but hot cocoa.

Everyone: OHHHHH! AWWWWE!

Jeff: You will be taken to a nearby hut where you will be served hot cocoa and be given warm blankets and hot towels. Should make you warm for the rest of the day. Alcoa, you have two extra people. You cannot sit the same people out. Who's going to sit out?

Dexter Prim and Wayne!

Jeff Alright you two, take a spot on the bench. Everyone else, I'll give you a minute to strategize and we'll get started.

Dexter defeated Henry to win round 1. In round 2, Jessica defeated Mavis to tie up the score. In round 3, Rudy clobbered Ernie to give Oracabessa the lead. In round 4, Daphne tied the score by beating Amy. Hiro gave Oracabess the lead again with win against Nathan in round 5. But Alcoa tied it up in round 6 when Tori knocked off Charlotte. This set up the deciding match in Round 7 between Fred and Tanner. Fred got to the basket first, but couldn't make the shots. Tanner caught up and both tried to make the basket. Finally, Tanner got one through and Alcoa won reward.

Alcoa Reward[]

Alcoa celebrated with hot cocoa and hot chocolate afterwards. They also received warm blankets and hot towels to keep them warm.

For the first time today, I start to feel the warmth of hot cocoa. It was cold having to slide on the tubes. But I was able to get my tribe a point and we ended up winning the challenge.

–Daphne

Daphne: Man, this is so good!

Ernie: Merry Early Christmas guys!

Nathan: Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! How bout a toast to my man Tanner for coming up in the clutch?

Tori: Alright!

The tribe puts their mugs together and toast to Tanner.

Tanner: Thanks guys! You're all the best.

I feel like a king right now. I was able to score the winning points for my tribe against one of their best athletes and I WON! I feel like I managed to get the tribe's full trust today. It has to suck for Oracabessa dealing with the cold.

–Tanner

Oracabessa[]

Once again, Tanner is right as Oracabessa returns to nothing but a familiar cold camp. Hiro is sitting alone trying to work a fire going. Fred comes up to him.

Fred: Hey homeboy! Care if I join?

Hiro: Sure!

Fred: Here's what I got! I like you. And I would be willing to keep you in this game because let's face it. You're one of the strongest challengers here. I feel like everyone on this tribe has both intelligence and physical strength except for Henry. We just need to win the challenge tomorrow. But if we don't, then we'll work on a plan to take Henry out. Is that ok?

Hiro: Yea fine! I don't care!

Fred: You ok?

Hiro: Yea! I'm just looking at this fire.

Everyone wants Hiro gone. But I decided to try and figure out a plan to get him to remain in this game. Yet, when I saw his face, he looked like he wasn't there. It was like talking to someone that's in Hiro's body. This concerns me a bit. I'm just worried he might snap.

–Fred

Fred goes to Amy and explains what happened.

Fred: He literally is not there right now. I explained the situation and he doesn't look at me. He's like ok whatever. Do what you want. I didn't like what I saw.

Amy: This isn't a good thing. I mean, Rudy might be right to send him home.

Fred: I'm just concerned that we'll keep losing if we send home.

Amy: Us three will figure out ways to get to the end. But right now, we have to consider keeping Hiro in this game.

Fred tells me that Hiro doesn't appear to be himself. I think Hiro thinks he's alone in this game and we might want to consider keeping him. However, his state of mind right now isn't telling us he's desperate. It's like he doesn't care. I don't know what we can do here.

–Amy

Day 13[]

Alcoa[]

The next day, the temperatures rise again. Everyone is happy to be warm again. But on Alcoa, Prim and Wayne continue to be on the loose cannons as they don't help around the camp. Seeing those two give Ernie an idea.

I don't think any of us are thrilled that both Prim and Wayne are lounging around doing nothing like it's their island. It just makes me sick to my stomach. But something else that makes me sick to my stomach is a thought or idea that we might have to throw the next challenge to get them out. I can't believe I'm thinking this. But I think this might work if we put it together.

–Ernie

Ernie goes up to Nathan and they began to talk.

Ernie : So I was thinking that maybe for the benefit of this tribe, you know. Like, we know we can beat Oracabessa in everything.

Nathan: Correct!

Ernie: And I want to win today's challenge.

Nathan: But what's wrong?

Ernie: We can't afford to keep Prim and Wayne any longer. We basically have to vote them out soon. I thought that maybe it would be in our best interest to lose the challenge on purpose. I don't want them to suddenly realize who's calling the shots and cause chaos here.

Nathan: We can't do that! We'd be the stupidest people out here.

As much as like everybody, I want to see Prim and Wayne get voted off. There's no way in hell I'm throwing a challenge. I don't plan on losing any challenges. The only way I lose is by fair and square defeats. Not by giving an opponent victory!

–Nathan

Nathan: If we did lose on purpose, I feel that it's going to hurt us in the long run. Because people look at me as the most physical threat and we can't afford to let the other tribe know we have issues. We have to keep the mask on man. We can't let our guards down.

Ernie: But we can't vote those two out and then win again.

Nathan: What if we have to merge or swap tribes? Did you ever think about that?

Ernie Not really!

Nathan: Please think about it more, will you? Because if we get swapped, that throws a monkey wrench in our plans and we have to figure out a way to stick together before one of us goes prior to the merge.

Nathan hit me pretty hard with the merge comment. If we do this, but we have to swap tribes, our alliance could be in jeopardy. I can't afford to let that happened. But everyone wants Prim and Wayne gone. I'm not sure what to do now. I would like to see us lose on purpose. But doing that good be a detriment to our game.

–Ernie

Immunity Challenge[]

Jeff: Come on in guys! Alcoa and Oracabessa soon arrive for their immunity challenge.

Jeff Guys ready for today's immunity challenge?

Everybody: Yes sir!

Jeff: First things first! Alcoa, I'll take immunity back.

Daphne: You look good doing that Jeff!

Everyone laughs for Alcoa.

Jeff Thank you Daphne! Once again, immunity is back up for grabs. For today's challenge, you race along a bamboo course trying to get to your opponent's boat, which is filled with baskets. You will navigate to and from your boat trying to steal the items and bring them back. At the center of the course is the attack zone. If at any point, two people from opposite tribe meet up, you can engage in physical contact with those two people. But you must be in the zone when you do that. Once you cross the course, you then drop your item in your point and score a point. First tribe to collect ten items wins immunity and is safe from the vote. Losers will go to tribal council where somebody will be voted out of this game. Alcoa, you have two extra people. You can't sit the same people out. Prim and Wayne are playing. So who's sitting out this time?

Tori and Mavis raise their hands.

Jeff Tori and Mavis will sit this one out. Everyone else get ready.

Both tribes strategize and get ready.

Jeff Alright. This is for immunity. Survivor's ready?.... GO!

The challenge starts and right away, Oracabessa is making progress. Fred and Rudy are able to get two items from the boat and then work their way towards their own boat. Alcoa is able to get one when Prim scores for her tribe. Charlotte and Jessica get on the course for the Oracabessa tribe. Dexter and Ernie rush out for theirs. Jessica gets an item and is able to avoid contact with Dexter. She places her item for her tribe. Amy runs on the course. Charlotte follows suit and scores bring her tribe a 4-1 lead. Amy and Hiro both collect items while Dexter and Ernie score for their tribe. Nathan and Tanner get on for Alcoa down 4-3. Tanner goes first, but runs into Amy in the attack zone. They engage in contact, but Amy walks away with a win as she knocks Tanner over. Daphne runs on as Amy scores easily. Hiro follows her and scores. It's now 6-3 Oracabessa.

Daphne gets an item and runs back. But Fred intercepts her in the attack zone and takes her down. Rudy then takes down Nathan in the attack zone. Both guys get their items and run back. Prim comes in while Fred trips and falls in the water. Rudy tries to make a move, but's he caught when Prim and Dexter try to double team him in the attack zone. Rudy gets by Prim, but is met by Dexter who pushes him down. Prim and Dexter get their items. Charlotte runs on and meets Prim. Prim out muscles Charlotte in the attack zone. She would then score to make it 6-4. Dexter follows behind and he scores. Oracabessa leads by 1. Ernie and Tanner get back on the course. Jessica ran on the course and grabs an item. She turns to head back. Ernie and Tanner get their items and they start to head back. What happened next was shocking.

Hiro was rushing to get to the items when he ran into Jessica. As he tried to get around, he pushes her in a bad spot. Whether it was by accident or not, this causes Jessica to lose her balance and fall in the water. Jessica screams as she felt something wrong. Everyone freezes for a moment wondering what happened. Jessica is fine, but she has a hard time trying to move. Rudy dives in, grabs a hold of her, and brings her to safety.

Jeff STOP! Hiro, you pushed your own teammate in the water. That's not a good sign. Oracabessa is disqualified. Alcoa wins immunity.

There is no immunity celebration for Alcoa. They pat each other on the back as they take the statue from Jeff.

Jeff Alcoa, head on back to camp. I'll see you later. Oracabessa, well I must say that this tribe has some issues here. I'll see you guys tonight at tribal council where somebody will be voted off. Grab your stuff.

Alcoa[]

The mood in the camp is not much of a happy one at Alcoa.

Dexter: Man, I didn't think we win by DQ.

Prim: Anybody see what happened?

Ernie: I heard Jeff say that somebody pushed their own teammate in the water.

Daphne: You serious?

Ernie: I forgot who it was, but it might've been a guy.

Wayne: I think it was Hiro man. That's what I thought I heard.

Mavis: Yea, I think saw him push Jessica in the water.

Nathan: That's just wrong. Why would do that?

Dexter: It probably looked accidental.

Wayne: I'm not sure about that man. look intentional to me.

Mavis: Me too!

Anytime you win an immunity challenge, it's a great feeling. But to win by way of disqualification leaves a bad taste in you're mouth because the other tribe screwed up and gave us the win. Somebody over there is responsible for the loss. It's a win and we'll take it. But we won't cherish it like the others.

–Wayne

Tanner and Tori go to treemail and see that there is a note. They read it and look at each other. Then they head back to their tribe.

Tanner We got treemail guys.

Mavis Really? What's it say?

Tori Although you were the winner of the challenge, we like for you to go to tribal council tonight. There is a serious issue that needs to be addressed and we'll let you know what will happen.

Dexter What?

Prim No way!

Tanner We have to go tonight. It sounds serious

Wayne You don't think they'll strip our immunity away?

Mavis I hope not.

Tori I don't think so! But it is serious!

When I found out we're going to Tribal Council tonight, so many thoughts go through your head. They could strip your immunity necklace for cheating. We could be asked to vote for the other tribe instead. A merge, possibly. I don't know what's going to happen.

–Dexter

Ernie You think it has to do with the challenge? Like the pause?

Daphne Could be!

Nathan Gonna be a hell of a night.

Oracabessa[]

As Oracabessa returns to camp, they are left to wonder what happened at the challenge.

Henry What happened back there?

Amy I don't know! One minute I see Jessica on the beam. next minute, she was in the water upset.

Fred watches Hiro walk by them.

Fred Hiro's walking by. I think something happened between the two.

Charlotte God, I just feel bad for Jessica for whatever happened.

Everything was going well until something happened during the challenge. The way Hiro walked by us and Jessica just disappeared tells us that something happened between the two. We have to figure out what happened and get the mole out of the game.

–Charlotte

Rudy is walking along the beach looking for more firewood when he hears crying. He then looks to see Jessica sitting alone on a log in tears. Rudy goes to her.

Rudy Hey! Hey! Hey! What's wrong?

Jessica I'm sorry! I'm ok!

Rudy No you're not! Don't tell me that!

Jessica No I'm not ok! I'm feeling shaken inside.

Rudy What happened?

Jessica I can't say. It's too hard.

Rudy I want to help you. You can trust me. Seriously.

Jessica whispers something in Rudy's ear and Rudy shakes his head.

Rudy And it bothers you?

Jessica Yes. It's tough because I've been pushed around by men because... I'm a lesbian. I didn't want to tell you because I know you have Christian beliefs and I don't want you to hate me. I'm so sorry if I told you that. Please don't hate me.

Jessica cries while Rudy processes what he heard.

I will admit I do have Christian beliefs and prefer marriage between a man and a woman. But, I'm not against gay marriage. Love is a big word. I think people deserve to be with who they love so dearly. If a man wants to be with a man or a woman to a woman, then they should be allowed to do that. I need to make sure that Jessica has my trust and support without saying something that causes controversy.

–Rudy

RudyI don't hate you. I'm a Christian, yes. But I'm not the kind that calls you a hypocrite for your beliefs. I think the word love is being divided. In my case, it's man-woman. In your case, it's same-sex. I'm the kind of person where I wish there was an equal balance in this world. I have friends who are gay as well. You're sexuality is your business. You do what you want. I don't care. What I do care about more is for your well-being because you can't show you're weak right now. I don't want you to feel distraught.

Jessica I just can't see myself around Hiro. I want him gone.

Rudy We'll get him out. Don't worry! Can I get a hug?

Jessica Sure!

Jessica hugs Rudy and has her head in his shoulders crying.

Rudy It's ok! It's ok! I'm here!

To have somebody like Rudy come up to me and tell me everything's fine and give me a hug like that just shows that this world needs more people like him. If that were the case, then the world would be very peaceful. I'm glad that someone has my back and I'm glad it was Rudy. I'm still nervous about tonight having to talk to Hiro what happened today. But I think with the tribe's support, I can go in feeling ok.

–Jessica

They stay on the log for awhile as Jessica calms down. Rudy then goes to Amy and Fred.

Rudy Basically, there was an incident between the two where Hiro kind of pushed her in the water. It looked intentional, but I don't know!

Amy Is she ok?

Rudy She's fine! But she's just a bit shaken right now. I wouldn't put too much pressure on her tonight.

Fred So we have no choice.

Rudy I don't want to lose another competitor, but we have no choice. We have to keep this tribe safe.

I feel very sad and hurt for Jessica. I don't think Hiro's a bad person. But whatever happened between the two is just farfetched. I like both people. But I think everyone needs to make the cloud clearer by getting rid of the person who caused it.

–Amy

Oracabessa Tribal Council[]

Not much is said on the Oracabessa tribe for the rest of the day. It appears the vote is a forgone conclusion. For the third time in a row, Oracabessa goes to tribal council. But they're about to receive a surprise.

Jeff We will now bring in the Alcoa tribe to Tribal Council.

Oracabessa is surprised when Alcoa shows up to join them at Tribal Council. They're just as surprised to be there.

Jeff Ok! As you know, both tribes are here tonight. Oracabessa is here because they have to be. Alcoa is here because you were asked to be here. But Alcoa, you won the immunity challenge today. You will not have anyone voted out tonight from your tribe. So no worries Alcoa. But, we do have an issue to discuss tonight. So that's why you're both here tonight. During the immunity challenge, something happened that caused Jessica to feel upset. Charlotte, what happened?

Charlotte Well, it's hard to say Jeff because we don't want people to judge us. But during the challenge, Hiro was trying to get to the other side when he ran into Jessica. And unfortunately, there was contact made and Jessica fell down in the water. We think the contact was in a difficult spot.

Jeff So there was contact and Jessica fell?

Charlotte It looked like she was pushed.

Jeff Amy, what was the vibe around the camp when you went back?

Amy From what we heard, it sounded intentional. I don't think Hiro would've assaulted Jessica. But he basically put her in a bad state of mind.

Hiro First of all, I didn't push her. I tried to move the person out of the way so I could thrust myself to get to the baskets faster. I didn't realize it was Jessica and I feel bad for what happened. It was an accident and I apologize for it.

Jeff Henry, Hiro admits he didn't see Jessica. He basically pushed something out of the way not knowing that person would be in the water.

Henry I think that's bullcrap. He saw her from my angle, and rather than stop and let her through, he just pushed her. But that's not why Jessica is upset. She's upset because he pushed her in a bad area.

Hiro Let me tell it to you this way. I didn't see her. I didn't know if it was a boy or a girl that I pushed.

Charlotte Her chest is big and you didn't feel that?

Hiro I don't remember things I touch when they happened, ok? I was just trying to get to the item.

Jeff But Hiro, you messed up for your own tribe because Jessica was carrying another item. Had you not done that, Oracabessa would've gotten another point and from perspective, they would've won because you had Charlotte and Henry on the course with a chance to get items their own.

Hiro All I can say was it was just an instinct reaction. I didn't mean to cause any problems. I'm not that type of person who goes to jail for hitting people.

Jeff Jessica, what's going through your mind?

Everyone turns to see Jessica start to cry again. She takes a few deep breaths and then states her piece.

Jessica I'm just shocked that everyone is talking about this. I feel so horrible right now because I told Rudy about what happened and it reminds me of the days when I got hit a lot because of rumors that I was a lesbian, which are true. It's just tough for me to talk right now.

Jeff Has anyone comforted you?

Jessica Rudy did! He came by after he saw me crying and we talked and hugged it out. That's what I love about him.

Jeff Rudy, why did you decide to talk to Jessica about it when it basically is a personal business of hers that shouldn't have been brought out.

Rudy I just felt like Jessica could use a friend at the moment because she seemed scared and all alone at that point. I didn't want what happened to her be her legacy in this game.

Jeff And you think that was the smart thing to be at her side?

Rudy That's just the way I am Jeff. I feel like I'm a caring person with a lot of heart and I don't want to see anyone feel weak inside. I realize we're in a game and the days will get harder and relationships will get tested soon. But there comes a point where you have to care for somebody. It's like what happened to Kendra earlier. We both cared for her and loved her when we helped her.

Hiro Jeff, I think this is ridiculous. She's making this a big deal, when it's not. I'm not a sexual predator or anything. I don't hit women.

Jeff But you did push Jessica in the water.

Hiro And I was wrong. I apologize. It was a bad case of stupid decision-making and I made a wrong choice in judgement. I didn't know it was Jessica, but it was wrong of me to push her.

Jeff You're saying that you didn't know it was her and yet you pushed whoever it was.

Hiro I didn't who it was, so I pushed that person.

Jeff Well that would've kicked you out of the challenge and you would've had six players left, making it a disadvantage.

Hiro And again, I was wrong.

Fred Can I say something Jeff?

Jeff Sure Fred?

Fred Hiro has not been himself one hundred percent. Ever since Cassidy left, Hiro has been down right quiet and it concerns me that he doesn't seem to be in the mojo if you know what I mean.

Hiro I'm not crazy man. I just got things going in my head.

Amy We're not saying you're crazy. We just think you're not in tune to everything going on.

Hiro How so?

Fred You didn't seem to be interested in the offers I was giving you. At the challenge, you felt disinterested. That's something that's hard for me to look at and say, this guy's an asset to the game.

Hiro What game are you playing? We're losing challenges right now and we may never win one at this point.

Jeff Hold on guys! I'd like to get Alcoa's opinion on this. Who saw what happened and what do you think? Mavis?

Mavis It looked to me like he did push her intentionally as a way to move her out of the way. The spot was not a great spot. But it just didn't seem to me like it was accidental.

Tori But the problem here is that we have two different stories here. Jessica thinks it was intentional. Hiro says it was an accident. There's no clear answer as to what we saw because we'll have different opinions here. I don't condone what he did. But I'm saying that everyone's opinion is different as to whether this should be a big deal or not.

Jeff Wayne, what must happened to someone here who cause interference to their own tribe the way they did?

Wayne That dude should pay the price. Do the crime, do the time. Not saying he's a criminal, but if he did what he did to my wife and kids, I'd kick his ass all the way to Timbuktu.

Jeff What do you think Tanner?

Tanner As someone in the same gay and lesbian club as Jessica, I know that feeling myself. I've been taunted, made fun of, beaten up and all. But one thing I learned is that karma comes back to bite them. And it did for those guys who bullied me because they apologized and we're great friends now. I think if Hiro can find it in his heart to really be sorry and Jessica can find it in her heart to forgive Hiro, then this whole thing can be put to bed.

Jeff Alright Alcoa, thank you guys for coming to tribal council. Y'all may head back to camp.

Alcoa gets up to leave and head back to camp. A few pat Jessica's shoulder as a way to tell them she's ok.

Tanner Stay strong!

Mavis: Don't let fear take over you. Be brave.

Tori You're ok!

Jessica: (whispers) Thank you!

Jeff Ok! After this tribal council, it's now time to vote. Henry, you're up!

Henry gets up and goes to the booth to vote. His vote is not revealed as he folds it up. One by one, everyone else goes up to vote and they return to their seats.

Jeff: I'll go tally the votes.

Jeff goes to get the votes while the camera focuses on Hiro and Jessica. Jeff then returns with the urn.

Jeff: If anybody has an hidden immunity idol and you like to play it, now is the time to do so.

No one does.

Jeff: Alright, once the votes are read, the decision is final. Person voted out will be asked to leave Tribal Council immediately. I'll read the votes.

First Vote: Hiro (1-0)

Jessica (1-1)

Hiro (2-1)

Hiro (3-1)

Fifth person voted out of Survivor: Portland Bight: Hiro

Hiro gets up to grab his torch as no one smiles.

Jeff Hiro, you're tribe has spoken. (snuffs torch) Time for you to go!

Hiro departs feeling disappointed while everyone else feels a bit relieved.

Jeff Well this have been the first tribal council where an intervention was held. One thing I am proud of is for you guys standing up for a fallen teammate. Grab your torches and head on out. Good night!

The six remaining Oracabessa tribe members walk off with their torches.

Immunity[]

Challenge: Pirating Baskets
The tribes had to race along a narrow bamboo course over water. At the center of the course was an "Attack Zone" where the Survivors could physically knock each other off the course. At the end of the course were two boats, one for each tribe, filled with baskets. Their goal was to negotiate the course, steal a basket from the opposing team's boat and return it to their own team's starting boat. If at any point a tribe member was not in the "Attack Zone" when they made contact with their opponent, they will be disqualified and the tribe will lose a basket to their opposing tribe. First tribe to steal ten baskets would win.

Voting Confessionals[]

I hope you realize that you made a terrible decision. When you do, you'll have my forgiveness.

–Henry

If things go bad from here on out, at least you're not the one causing it.

–Charlotte

Wayne was right. If you had done that to my mama, I would've kicked your ass to Timbuktu.

–Fred

You just went from hero to zero Hiro.

–Amy

I lost a dear good loved one to depression. If the same thing happens to anyone you know, I hope you have a heart to forgive yourself for the mistake you made.

–Rudy

I can only write your name. Not say it!

–Jessica

You need to stop acting like a bitch and starting maturing into a woman.

–Hiro

Final Words[]

I think looking back, the biggest mistake I made was putting myself in the position on the outside. Had I known this would happen, I wouldn't have done what I did. I just ask for forgiveness from everybody at home and here. My Survivor experience was good and bad. But it's something that I'll never bury in the grave.

–Hiro
