On Day 2, the Apolima tribe was formed via schoolyard pick, with Desiree as the team captain due to her immunity win. The tribe pick went like this:
- Desiree picked Grayson
- Grayson picked Sasha
- Sasha picked Chadwick
- Chadwick picked Valencia
- Valencia picked Johannes
- Johannes picked Skanda
- Skanda picked Brody
- Brody picked Whitney
As the last unpicked female, Aloma had the right to challenge the woman of her choice for a spot on their tribe. She chose to challenge Whitney and defeated her, taking Whitney's spot on the tribe. Desiree and Namua's captain Tucker then battled for reward, which was the right to choose camp location. Desiree lost, and Apolima was sent to a new camp.

- With Nathaniel Roberts joining Apolima after the Tribe Switch in There's No Happiness in This Tribe, all four African-Americans in Survivor: Upolu have been on Apolima at some stage in the game.
- Post-mutiny Apolima is the smallest tribe in Tangle's fanon series, containing only 3 members.
- Apolima has the lowest win percentage of all tribes in Tangle's fanon series to last the entire pre-merge, winning 3/13 (23%) of challenges.
- They do not have the lowest winning percentage overall, as Daloa has a winning percentage of 0%. They did not last the entire pre-merge, however, as they were dissolved.
