Andrew Wesley Bishop is a contestant from Survivor: Taiwan - Exile Peak.

Growing up in a well-to-do family in a Chicago suburb, Andrew has often been referred to as “sheltered”, “naive”, or “ignorant” when it comes to the struggles and plights of the average American. However, by going to college and learning about real world issues through his political science and law classes, he has gained a greater understanding and compassion for the less fortunate.
“I think it’s unfair that there are so many rules in society that keep hard-working people from succeeding,” Andrew says with a sad sigh. “It was very shocking for me at the time to become so disillusioned with the American dream. I used to be so patriotic, but now, I’m not really sure what to think.”
Following in his father’s footsteps, Andrew plans on becoming a lawyer when he finishes law school. Always the most ambitious and driven of his siblings and being the youngest, he’s used to fighting for what he wants regardless of other people’s opinions or feelings on the matter. However, going into Survivor, he knows he needs to tone down his ambition to avoid being voted out.
“You see so many younger kids like me go onto this show and try to do everything as fast as possible, and it gets them voted out very early. I’m not foolish enough to do that to myself. It’ll be tough, but I’m going to learn to take things one day at a time, and not worry about planning everything ahead of time so meticulously,” Andrew says with a nod, confident in his strategy.
In terms of the game in general, Andrew plans on using his physical strength to his advantage to keep himself safe. He also wants to avoid tying himself down to one alliance for the whole game, knowing that flexibility is important to succeeding in a dynamic game full of twists and turns, and Survivor is no exception. Andrew is naturally more introverted than others and can get easily annoyed, however, so he may struggle when it comes to the social game, especially at the beginning. But, if he can get himself in others’ good books through his physical strength and if he can manipulate the dynamics of the tribe to his advantage, he stands a very good chance of winning the game.
